Hosts Lisa Zambetti and Dean Laffan dive into 'Insolubilia'. Dot's confrontation with Gator goes down pretty much as expected, but how is she going to explain her way out of a burned down house, an electrocuted husband and a pesky State Trooper who is convinced she is the gas station ninja angel who saved his life? And how did she get Wayne and Scotty to go up into the attic in the first place? Lisa and Dean pick it all apart including the significance of all the Nightmare Before Christmas symbology. Cue the disastrous consequences of trying to become something you are not and desperately trying to change the world into what you want it to be. Will Dot's philosophy she imparts to her daughter Scotty work?: basically “If we can't see the bad guys, they can't see us? If we don't talk about them, they don't exist? ” And Lisa has to shout out the extraordinary work of David Rysdahl's “Wayne” who's layered sweet, sad vulnerability as the hapless husband gives this hard candy show the soft center it doesn't want to need. This week's Vault Episode is the call-back to February 2022! The guys welcomed in actress Naomi Grossman! She is the character, Pepper, from two different American Horror Story seasons! It was such a great time, the guys wanted to share it again! Enjoy!!ORIGINAL SHOW NOTESOnce in a while, the guys get salty with one another, so they decided to bring in some Pepper to the #Lounge, this week!Naomi Grossman, the actor who portrayed "Pepper" in the FX Network show, American Horror Story, the Asylum & Freak Show seasons, joined the guys!Naomi fit right in from the get-go, she quickly pointed out something that was awry, from Sam! It wasn't the only time a call-out was warranted, either. The guys immediately jumped into Naomi's process of becoming Pepper, and what it entailed (how long, etc.). The guys keep peppering her with AHS-related questioning... how long did it take to get make-up done to become Pepper? What was it like walking the red carpet? When was the first time you were recognized as being Pepper? They jump into Bite Me, the z...vampire rom-com, which comes out on-demand on February 8th. How different was the theatrical release from other movies? Is that HER doing the yoga poses in the movie? The guys ask her about when she knew she was going to go into acting. What was her college experience like? She also talks about a GREAT compliment from one of her college mates. There are so many great little conversations that make up this EVENTFUL hang-out. The guys had a fantastic time with Naomi, and hope to bring her back in the future! SO, sit back, relax, and enjoy the time we have with a fantastic actor, and great person, Naomi Grossman!

Este episodio es traído gracias a:Productora Ejecutiva: Blanca LópezProductor Asociado: Juan Carlos Toledo PérezCo-Productor: Dany SaadiaCo-Productor: Logan MayerCo-Productor: Óscar CamposCo-Productor: Román RangelAgradecimiento especial a nuestros Patreons: Adriana Fernández, Agustín Galván, Barbas Poéticas, Jaime Rosales, Juan Espíritu, Luiso Uribe, Álvaro Vázquez, Arturo Manrique, Lau Berdejo, Alejandro Alemán, Arturo Aguilar, Enrique Vázquez, Ernesto Diezmartínez, Jorge I. Happy Wine Wednesday! Jay Giles returns to the podcast this week to discuss one of our favorite fictional characters - Raylan Givens. Long time listeners will recall that Jay previously joined me to discuss the Justified pilot and share reflections on the series as a whole, so it only made sense to have him back to discuss our thoughts on the first episode of Justified: City Primeval. We follow the lead of the writers and kickoff our conversation with our thoughts on our re-introduction to Raylan Givens. The writers wasted no time in giving us a peek into how Raylan has grown as both a father and a law enforcement officer since we last saw him in the Justified finale. The "City Primeval" in this series is Detroit, so we discuss this new location for the next chapter in the Raylan Givens story and how it shapes the story and the world in which Raylan is now navigating. OG Justified fans know that Detroit was definitely a location visited in the original series, but there's definitely a different feel to it now that the Motor City is the center of this season. As with the original series, Timothy Olyphant is surrounded by a very talented group of actors. Jay and I talk about how much fun it was to see talented actors like Vondie Curtis Hall, Aunjanue Ellis, Amin Joseph, and Keith David in the opening episode. We talk about what was well done in the pilot, what didn't work so well, and our wishlist for the season. And as always, we close out with the thirst segment and a few prompts inspired by this revival.Friendly reminder - we drink, we know things, we use adult language, and we have a great time! Thanks so much for listening. Photo by Bradford Rogne Photography We begin season five with Scott "Scooter" Braun. You might know him as Scooter Braun, one of the most prolific entrepreneurs and innovators in entertainment, music, tech, and beyond. Yet, during the Hoffman Process, Scooter reclaimed himself as Scott, the young boy he once was and the person he has always been. Scooter shares that both sides of his familial line experienced great trauma and struggles. He was aware enough to know that his life as a child was good. Through the Process, he came to realize that he felt guilt for having struggles because his paled in comparison to those his parents and grandparents experienced. Through the Process, Scott was able to heal the pain of his past, understanding that we all face human trauma and challenges. Sharing about his upbringing, his loving parents, and what he learned through his Process, Scott cogently shines a light on the Path to Personal Freedom and Love. One beautiful thing Scott offers to us in this episode is the understanding that once we do the deep healing work of childhood, we can then step forward to discover who we really are, now, in the present day. From this present moment, we can continue to reclaim more and more of who we truly are. Scott recommends the Process to many of those he knows. When people remark about how much he has changed and want to know how this happened, he suggests they attend.
