FIT Challenge had their final obstacle course race in 2023 but later announced that they would making a return in 2025! It was unfortunately the same day that we had scheduled the New England OCR Expo but we have been running his events since 2014 and it was going to take more than it being a double event coverage day to keep us from supporting New England's most beloved and award winning event and of course Robb himself. We were only able to stay for a couple hours in the morning (7:45-9:45) but we were able to talk to a variety of athletes as well as Robb McCoy the race director. FIT Challenge has been putting on obstacle course races since 2013 and we have been to almost every single one of them over the years (we just missed the very first one and the one during the extreme heat wave the summer of 2019)! Unfortunately that all comes to an end after this past weekend since it was their final event. It is the death of the most important New England local OCR that we have had and it also has some backing of that fact with it winning the best small OCR event just about every year that it has been a category. All that being said I tried to get as much content as I could, to try and give FIT Challenge the send off that it deserves! You'll hear from those competing in the elite wave, regular open wavers, ultra athletes, and everything in between! Thank you Robb for everything you've done for the OCR community, I'll see you on the trails! 0:00 – 2:41 – Intro 2:41 – 11:44 – Quick News 11:44 – 14:00 – Content Preface 14:00 - 43:41 - Elite and other Morning Interviews (Ryan Brizzolara, Brett Mazza, Javier Gutierrez, Kara Vandooijeweert, Laura Messner, Jamie Gillon, Jacquie Desmond, Matthew Johnson, AC Hale, and James Golisano) 43:41 - 47:26 - Jimmie, Angela, and Shaun Recap 47:26 - 1:38:40 - Ultra and other afternoon and night Interviews (Code Milne, Asa Coddington, John Schaecter, John Ricker, Grant Bercik, Mike Kantor, Jeff T, Julia Becker Collins, Sam C, Sam Henderson, Wayne Dwyer, Kelly Sullivan, Josh Fiore, Mike Foran, James Del Verde, Melissa Linden, Doug Perkins, Mike Ronemus, Megan Beck, and Isaac Bowles) 1:38:40 - 1:44:48 - Mike's Recap 1:44:48 - End – Outro Next episode we plan to have an elite on the show after competing in the first of the Spartan 3K Series in Palm Beach, Florida! ____ News Stories: Goliathon's G8 Endurance Event Infinite Hero's 22 Miles to Break Boundaries MudGear Gloves American Ninja Warrior Update Olympian Nick Symmonds Takes on an OCR Obstacle Sports Canada President Spartan Charlotte Sprint Podiums Spartan San Diego Sprint Podiums Hyrox Cologne Podiums Hyrox Malaga Podiums FIT Challenge Results Bard Secret Link Happy Birthday Secret Link Delilah Secret Link Strong Secret Link Wall Bars Secret Link ____ Related Episodes: 14. Megan is also one of the hosts of Middle Of The Pack Podcast. The mission of the Noble Maritime Collection, an art and history museum on Staten Island, New York, is to present exhibitions and programs that celebrate the working waterfront of New York Harbor in the tradition of the distinguished artist John A. Noble. The museum is located on the former grounds of the retirement home known as Sailors' Snug Harbor, on Staten Island's North Shore. Robbins Reef Lighthouse, New York Harbor. The museum also works to preserve Robbins Reef Lighthouse, a spark-plug-style tower located between the Statue of Liberty and Staten Island's North Shore. Robbins Reef is best known as the home of the famous Kate Walker, who was its keeper from 1895 to 1919. Megan Beck (Courtesy of Noble Maritime Collection) Curator Megan Beck began working at the Noble Maritime Collection in 2013. She researched and helped develop exhibits on Sailors Snug Harbor and Robbins Reef Lighthouse, and she oversees all curatorial and archival projects for the museum. Scarves tied around poles were recently spotted in that city, along with notes that said, “If you need this scarf, please take it and be warm and safe.” The person behind this act of kindness is Aunika Sharrock, an 18-year-old Oak Ridge high school senior who enjoys helping others. And this isn't the first time Aunika has performed selfless acts of caring. Co-host Michelle Jewell Shaw interviewed Aunika for the podcast.

And like many things happening in the early 1800s in New York, there is a Alexander Hamilton connection.
