GateCrashers has interviewed a huge array of guests from artists to Tony winners to New York Times Best Selling authors but nothing can measure up to one of the scum dogs of the universe, GWAR. The Intergalactic conquerors/band known as GWAR have released a new album entitled “The New Dark Ages" that is available to stream now on all platforms. The physical CD will be released on July 15th along with the tie in comic GWAR: In the Duoverse of Absurdity from Z2 comics. The vinyl and cassette versions of the album release on September 16th via the band's own Pit Records. Dan sat down with guitarist Pustulus Maximus to have a deep conversation from a range of topics. One of the major themes of the album is the loss of truth and the belief in lies. One of the tracks "Mother Fucking Liar" lays out the bands feelings on the subject very well. They speak about the impact of the lack of trust in science and how the human race has essentially doomed itself and continues to chose to do so. Dan checks in on the "War on Gwar" from the previous album to see how that rages on. Pustulus talks about performing for live audiences after some time away in isolation, spoilers everyone is a hell of a lot hornier. Pustulus also dives into a bit of a conversation about what cancel culture is and a human's ability to grow as a person over time which should be nurtured rather than stomped out. Be sure to check out Gwar's new album "The New Dark Ages" right fucking now.
We ride again into the intergalactic depths of metal space with GWAR guitarist, Postulus Maximus. We talk 30 YEARS of Scumdogs of the Universe, touring with Napalm Death & Eyehategod, the logistics behind a GWAR show, GWAR vs Cancel Culture, spiritual enlightenment journeys, controversial Judas Priest album favorites, pre-workout supplements. Zak from Death Comes Lifting unfortunately had to handle this one solo, our co-host Schuler of Death Metal radio was sorely missed. Please go squirt blood on him. Also please campaign for a GWAR & Death Comes Lifting pre-workout supplement collaboration. Thank you for listening. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/death-comes-lifting/support

In this episode we review some of the new games we purchased at Gen Con, discuss the rules, ease of play, and some of the crap decisions we may have made in the process. GWAR vs. Time is a deck-building game. Players will build decks featuring their favorite GWAR characters, items, and locations, as well as their enemies, from throughout the band’s decades-long history. This includes characters like Berserker Blothar, Pustulus Maximus, Balsac the Jaws of Death, Beefcake the Mighty, Jizmak da Gusha, Oderus Urungus, and Sleazy P. Martini, as well a villains like Techno and Sawborg Destructo, Cardinal Syn, the Ultimate Bohab, and Boss Glom. The game goes deep into the GWARchives to find things from way back as well, like Cornelius Carnage.Tortuga 1667 is all about the interactions you have with the other players. In some cases, such as when you and your shipmates are attacking the Spanish Galleon, you need to rely on your enemies in order to succeed. In the very next turn, however, your shipmates might stab you in the back with a mutiny in order to keep all the treasure for themselves.Check out GWAR Vs. On this thunderous edition of After Hours AM/America’s Most Haunted Radio — epic paranormal talk with hosts Joel Sturgis and Eric Olsen — we charge headlong into horror-metal gods GWAR’s mythos and new album THE BLOOD OF GODS with band lead guitarist Pustulus Maximus. We talk with Pustulus Top of Hour 2; Hour 1 we review the week’s freakiest paranormal news from the America’s Most Haunted Twitter feed. GWAR’s new album, their 16th and first since the death of frontman Oderus Urungus, is being hailed by critics — whose families were, frankly, threatened — as the greatest sonic event since the Big Bang. THE BLOOD OF GODS chronicles the massive battle between GWAR and all the forces that oppose them. Along the way, the band challenges the sins of humanity from politics, pollution, and organized religion, to fast food, and factory farming. Humans are shown as what they are: a parasitic disease that must be eradicated before they suck the planet dry! The story of GWAR is carved across the history of this barren and hopeless planet, but GWAR themselves are not of this world. Long ago, the beings who would become the rock band GWAR were part of an elite fighting force, the Scumdogs of the Universe. For eons, they served as thralls to a supreme being known only as the Master. But one by one, each future member of the band earned a glaring reputation for being an intergalactic screw-up. And so, they were banished, sent away on a fool’s errand to conquer an insignificant dirtball floating in a dark corner of the universe, the planet Earth. Once here, GWAR shaped the face of the globe, destroying and rebuilding the natural world, and giving rise to all of human history. Aliens to some, gods and demons to others, our erstwhile Scumdogs bred with apes to create the human race.
