The gang opens up the show talking about the disastrous ending to the College Basketball Game. Jump right into 15 Min of Heat, where the gang gets into the win over the 76ers, and Spo thinking that Kel'el Ware can do more. Was the Terry Rozier trade a good one? Leroy is appalled that Tobin wants Kyle Lowry back. Leroy wants to watch Looney Tunes on Kyle Anderson's forehead. End the hour with Road To Repeat, the Cats are getting guys back from injury this week. The guys beg for Marchand to have his Welcome to the Panthers moment. Hour Tua starts with Brittney recalling how Tua got Boo'd at Tortuga after JellyRoll shouted him out, Leroy was appalled that Brittney stood ten toes in the sand and boo'd him. The guys discuss who they think the leaders for The Masters are, and of course they disagree. Mel Kiper's new draft list comes out, who should the Dolphins draft? Fat guys from North Dakota? The Masters talk continues, can Mcllroy get it done? Tobin and Leroy make a wager for their picks of this Masters Weekend, Tobins got Xander Schauffle and Leroys got Rory Mcllroy. Tobin is pleading with Marchand to do something PLEASE! Is Ashton Hall a liar? The man famous for his “early” morning routine, was photographed at the Heat game at 9:34pm. LIARRRR!! Stephen A. Smith for President ‘28, says he has no option. Is his take on Dwyane Wade being better than James Harden enough to hear him out? Tobin says yes? And Leroy thinks it is ridiculous! BREAKING NEWS! Michael Malone fired, along with the Nuggets GM., absolutely bonkers!

A masterful narrative history of the dangerous lives of pirates during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, revealing their unique impact on colonialism and empire. The pirates that exist in our imagination are not just any pirates. Violent sea-raiding has occurred in most parts of the world throughout history, but our popular stereotype of pirates has been defined by one historical moment: the period from the 1660s to the 1730s, the so-called "golden age of piracy." A groundbreaking history of pirates, Enemies of All: The Rise and Fall of the Golden Age of Piracy (Pegasus Books, 2024) combines narrative adventure with deeply researched analysis, engrossing readers in the rise of piracy in the later seventeenth century, the debates about piracy in contemporary law and popular media, as well as the imperial efforts to suppress piracy in the early eighteenth century. The Caribbean and American colonies of Britain, France, Spain, and the Netherlands—where piracy surged across these decades—are the main theater for Enemies of All, but this is a global story. Evoking London, Paris, and Amsterdam, Curaçao, Port Royal, Tortuga, and Charleston, the narrative takes readers, too, from Ireland and the Mediterranean to Madagascar and India, from the Arabian Gulf to the Pacific Ocean. Familiar characters like Drake, Morgan, Blackbeard, Bonny and Read, Henry Every, and Captain Kidd all feature here, but so too will the less well-known figures from the history of piracy, their crew-members, shipmates, and their confederates ashore; the men and women whose transatlantic lives were bound up with the rise and fall of piracy. Transforming how readers understand the history of pirates, Enemies of All presents not only the historical evidence but, more importantly, explains the consequences of piracy's unique influence on colonialism and European imperial ambitions. The Caribbean presents a fascinating paradox in the sea turtle conservation story. On one hand, Costa Rica hosts the world's longest running and most iconic sea turtle conservation initiative. Meanwhile, just up the coast in the neighbouring Nicaragua, one of the world's few legal sea turtle fisheries flourish. So how does this contradiction play out for sea turtles of the Caribbean? As we know by now sea turtles are global citizens, caring not for our political boundaries. The Caribbean green turtles are no different, for they nest in massive numbers in Costa Rica and forage in Nicaragua. In Episode 8, Brazilian Sea Turtle Biologist, Renato Bruno, uses the story of the Caribbean green turtle to touch upon the messier realities of sea turtle conservation - the history of sea turtle take in the region which then spurred conservation action, to the nuanced present day dynamics of both illegal and legal harvest across the Caribbean, and even the intriguing interactions between two endangered species - jaguars and sea turtles. So join us for a compelling conversation that examines the successes and challenges of sea turtle conservation in a region rich with culture, complexities and contradictions.Links for additional reading:Lagueux, C., Campbell, C., & Strindberg, S.
