Formed in Richmond, Virginia in 1984, GWAR is known for outrageous sci-fi/horror costumes, over-the-top theatrical shows, and a wild intergalactic warrior backstory.They're infamous for spraying audiences with fake blood, elaborate props, and comedic skits—blending metal music, B-movie aesthetics, and sharp social satire. Despite lineup changes, GWAR has thrived for decades, crafting DIY costumes and sets, lampooning politics, religion, and pop culture, and building a HUGE global cult following.Why so successful? They turned a niche concept into a full entertainment universe—music, theater, and parody like no other. Over their career, they've released 15 studio albums (including the new The Return of Gor Gor, with an accompanying comic), earned two Grammy nominations, and just recently even launched their own Mischief Toys line.Back in the '90s, GWAR also scored some unexpected pop-culture glory thanks to Beavis and Butt-Head. The cartoon's dim-witted metalhead duo were huge “fans,” often watching GWAR videos, headbanging furiously, and declaring them the GREATEST band in the universe. All of this month we've been delving into what horses do for us, and today's guests represent one of the most prolific charities that are known for changing the lives of disabled and disadvantaged people with horses. Formed in 1969, the Riding for the Disabled Association enriches lives through the unique bond between people and horses. Over 25,000 disabled children and adults are supported through activities including riding, carriage driving, and equine assisted programmes such as Quiet Corners and Tea with a Pony. The organisation is the pioneer of the therapeutic use of horses, leaders in disability sport, and the only major UK charity focused specifically on the health and wellbeing benefits of bringing people and horses together, and in this episode we talk to the RDA's Michael Bishop and paralympic medallist Mari Durward Akhurst. Superman & Lois recently completed its 4th season on the CW Network. The network had been sold, and the producers were given a 10-episode order for a final season with a reduced cast, smaller budget, and limited resources. Still, the series finished strong, with a storyline involving Doomsday and arch-villain Lex Luthor, played by my Michael Cudlitz. Superman & Lois starred Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/Superman and Bitsie Tulloch as Lois Lane. Showrunner Todd Helbing was joined by writing partner Brent Fletcher in helming the final season. Helbing joined the podcast towards the beginning of the series' run (Episode 267). In this episode, Helbing laments the outpouring of praise for the series finale. He discusses the challenges of doing the entire series, especially discussing the budget limitations for Season 4. Helbing also gave insight as to the casting of Cudlitz as Lex Luthor, and the incredible performances of Tulloch, and Hoechlin, as well as Kent twins Alex Garfin and Michael Bishop. Bishop replaced actor Jordan Elsass in Season 3. Helbing also went in-depth in discussing the now iconic final scene of the series finale.

When she returned she found Paula dead on the floor. A pivotal development in the history of cancer research was the discovery that cancers can arise from mutations in genes already present in normal, healthy cells.
