With Jeff out doing some OSR, Capt. Kevin and Capt. Kirk welcomed in Capt. Rich Gray to talk about this crazy February weather, all kinds of fishing, and turkey hunting too...makes sense, since Rich makes some of the best, most beautiful turkey calls around! Here's your L.V. Hiers gear tip of the week: Rich Gray hand-made Turkey calls are fantastic! Call Rich at 904-449-4073 to order yours. Here's your Ring Power CAT tip of the week: Mammoth Nation is an online marketplace that supports American and veteran-owned businesses. You can buy practically ANYTHING here…from ammo and clothes to steak seasoning and sporting goods. They support America First candidates and causes as well. Check them out at www.mammothnation.comHere's your Kirbyco Builders Inc. cooking tip of the week: Sweet Betsy Hush Puppy Mix is the best hush puppy mix ever! Get yours at Safe Harbor Seafood. Pro tip: Add some fresh Vidalia onions!!!
Jeff was up north in Canton to be a part of Tony Boselli's Hall of Fame induction, so he REALLY missed out - Capt. Kirk was back!It was great to have him back in the studio, and it was a perfect time to come back, because First Coast fishing is SOOOOOOOOO good! Capt. Kevin, Capt. Kirk and special guest Capt. Rich Gray talked all about what's happening in the water.Fishing wasn't the only topic of conversation, however. Bow season is coming, and the guys had a lot of great stuff to talk about as they get ready to let some arrows fly. Finally, Jeff did call in to share everything happening in Canton. Really cool stuff...Here's your L.V. Hiers gear tip of the week: Get yourself an arrow puller from Strike-Zone Fishing Jacksonville. The perfect tool to use when you're practicing. Here's your Ring Power CAT tip of the week from Captain Kevin: There are a lot of big kingfish on the beach. The big females are spawning right now on the beach. If possible when you catch a 25 plus… let her go. Most of those big fish will become docile after they fight. Grab her by the tail, take a quick picture and gently let her go! Bodes well for the future! Here's your Kirbyco Builders Inc. cooking tip of the week: Always need ziplocs to put fresh fish or venison in. Captain Kirk buys in bulk. 250 count $30 on Amazon.
With Jeff out on OSR (and out with the 'rona, unfortunately) in southwest Florida, and Capt. Kirk still under the weather, it was up to Capt. Kevin to handle this episode. But why do it alone when you can call in some reinforcements? They say, "the more, the merrier", so enter the "A-Team": Capt. Rich Gray and Capt. Leon Dana!As you'd guess, the show was loaded with fishing talk from top to bottom, start to finish. And as you'd also guess, with Rich and Leon in the house, this show was loaded with fun, too. Finally, for the record, everybody's got a big smile on their face when they call these three the "A-Team"...because they know what the "A" stands for! Here's your L.V. Hiers gear tip of the week: Always have some shark rigs ready when you are fishing offshore 100 lb wire/ 7/0 hook premade ready to go!Here's your Ring Power CAT tip of the week: When fishing the beach if you happen upon some kind of a color break… fish it! Stay on the clean water side! Great spot for Cobia, kings and jacks! Fished in the ACGFA juniors tournament Friday with Brian Cholmondeley and his son Thompson!! Great day! Here's your Kirbyco Builders Inc. cooking tip of the week: The easiest pie to make with all of your Summer tomatoes! https://www.thepioneerwoman.com/food-cooking/recipes/a36502819/tomato-pie/
With Capt. Kirk and Jeff gearing up to take fishing legend Bill Dance on a local angling excursion, Capt. Kevin found himself all alone in the studio...but not for long! Capt. Leon Dana stepped in to hang out, and we welcomed back Capt. Rich Gray! With three captains in the room, you can bet there was a lot of fishing talk going on. But, with turkey season coming up, it was impossible to not talk about their days going to the birds. Finally, if you're still looking for a reason to listen, you MUST check out the story about Capt. Scott Shank taking his wife out for her birthday this week. What a romantic! LOLHere's your L.V. Hiers gear tip of the week: The “holster “ by robocup. Mounts to a rod holder to hold pliers, hook remover and more. $18.99 www.therobocup.comHere's your Ring Power CAT tip of the week: With all the cold weather and lack of rain in the past few weeks the water is cold and clear. If you're having a hard time getting fish to bite try a couple of things. First, back off your tackle size. Go to lighter flourocarbon, lighter main and terminal tackle. Also use small baits… shrimp, mud minnows or mullet. Here's your Kirbyco Builders Inc. cooking tip of the week: Captain Kevin's kitchen skills consist of making toast. So it makes sense that his tip may very well be the worst "cooking" tip ever. Listen in to find out what it is...
Capt. Kevin was beside himself with glee, because, after being gone for 11 years, his good friend Capt. Rich Gray has returned to the First Coast from south Florida. Listen in to find out why Rich called it "cutthroat", what he thought of the fishing down there, and why he's so happy to be back. And you'll get the weather forecast, of course!
Rail terminals are the beginning and end points of the rail freight journey, and they serve a key sorting function for merchandise trains, those carrying mixed freight. Rail terminals are large, complex, and varied in their characteristics, and their functioning is critical to the success and efficiency of rail freight and the broader U.S. supply chain logistics system. To learn about railroad terminal operations and design, we talk with an expert on the subject, Rich Gray, who served as General Director of Asset Planning before retiring from the Union Pacific Railroad.
