This season in the WNBA, there are seven new head coaches making their debut (not counting Stephanie White, who has held that title before at the Connecticut Sun). Some of those individuals and their respective teams are faring better than others. So, one month into the 2025 season, Zena, Ben, and Sabreena sit down to discuss these coaches – their programs, their backgrounds, their unique styles – and to take stock of who's meeting expectations, who's beating expectations, and who's missing them altogether. Plus, the crew discusses Ariel Atkins' comments about Angel Reese during the Chicago Sky's post-game press conference Tuesday night, following their loss to the New York Liberty – as well as Reese's on-court performance._________________Visit our YouTube page!_________________References:Despite no Caitlin Clark, Fever-Sky broadcast drew nearly 2 million viewers by Richard DeitschSky's Ariel Atkins says Angel Reese's ‘crown is heavy,' urges media to show more respect by Mark PuleoWhy is it so hard to find a WNBA coach? Joe Flacco's comments on adults using social media platforms like TikTok. Chicago Sky's Ariel Atkins comments defends Angel Reese. Reviewing Shams Charania's report on the New York Knicks being rejected by multiple teams to interview their coaches for their vacant head coaching job. Debating the best possible landing spots for Kevin Durant. Oscar De La Hoya's criticism of Dana White and the Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford boxing event set to take place in Las Vegas, NV.
The WNBA is back — and Angel Reese is already making headlines for all the wrong reasons. On a much-anticipated opening night, the Chicago Sky traveled to Indianapolis to face Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever. The game did not disappoint. Clark posted her first triple-double of the season, while Angel Reese completely lost her composure in an on-court altercation. Jason breaks down the WNBA's weak attempt to excuse Reese's behavior — once again blaming racism instead of holding her accountable. Is the narrative around Angel Reese finally falling apart? Later in the show, Steve Kim joins the conversation to weigh in on Reese, along with Joy Taylor's odd endorsement of prostitution, the latest in the Aaron Rodgers-Steelers signing buzz, and Bill Belichick's baffling explanation for why his 20-something “sugar baby” Jordon Hudson plays such a big role in his life. Colin Cowherd jumps into the Belichick conversation, suggesting Jordon's main concern is what's in the will. Cam Newton also shares some “relationship advice,” but should someone with many kids by multiple women be giving anyone relationship guidance? To close the show, Jason revisits Stephen A. Smith's phantom presidential aspirations. A New York Times article reveals what might be his real plan: to become the Joe Rogan of the Democratic Party. How would the “face of ESPN” pull that off? And in breaking news, President Joe Biden reveals he has an aggressive form of prostate cancer. Were media outlets covering this up the whole time? After the show, hop over to the Jason Whitlock Harmony channel, as Jason and Shemeka Michelle react to the Chicago mayor's controversial comments about hiring only black people.
