2026-02-13 | UPDATES #130 | This is just a delicious story. Starlink Honeypot: Russia Paid Ukraine to Doxx 2,420 Terminals. Ukrainians have mounted an extraordinary strong operation. The honeypot: how Russia “unblocked” Starlink… and gave away 2,420 locations. If you want a snapshot of this war in 2026 — here it is: Russia got cut off from Starlink and then tried to cheat the system by paying for a workaround. But there are no shortcuts and that opportunity to unbrick their Starlink terminals turned out to be a Ukrainian trap.----------SUPPORT THE CHANNEL:https://www.buymeacoffee.com/siliconcurtainhttps://www.patreon.com/siliconcurtainhttps://www.gofundme.com/f/scaling-up-campaign-to-fight-authoritarian-disinformation----------A REQUEST FOR HELP!I'm heading back to Kyiv this week, to film, do research and conduct interviews. 2026-02-06 | UPDATES #126 | Have Starlinks really been switched off on Russia's side? What impact will this have, and what might have led to this step. This could be a catastrophe for Russia, if the worst case is realised, but what is really happening on the frontlines? Today, why Musk and Starlink keeps becoming a battleground for Russia's war for domination against Ukraine.Russian Starlinks went dark. here's what that means. If you've seen the headline “Starlink switched off for Russia” — you may have wondered if this was a real story. The deep focus version of the story is sharper, more interesting and more damning: Ukraine says Starlink terminals being used by Russian forces inside Ukraine's battlespace have been deactivated — after a rapid “whitelist” push designed to keep verified Ukrainian terminals online and unauthorised terminals offline. In this episode, Fran Spielman hosts a discussion between two Chicago City Council members, Ald. Anthony Beale (9th) and Ald. Walter "Red" Burnett (27th), who are on opposing sides of the debate over legalizing video gaming terminals (VGTs) in the city. Beal advocates for lifting the current ban, citing the potential for significant revenue generation to alleviate budget deficits and support local businesses. Conversely, Walter Burnett argues against VGTs, focusing on public safety risks, potential cannibalization of casino revenue, and the adverse effects of increased gambling accessibility, particularly on younger men.

Energy Vista: A Podcast on Energy Issues, Professional and Personal Trajectories
In this episode of Energy Vista, Leslie Palti-Guzman sits down with Geoffrey Pyatt, former US Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Resources and former Ambassador to Greece and Ukraine, for a candid conversation on the new energy geopolitics of the Eastern Mediterranean. Why is Greece emerging as a strategic energy gateway linking the Levant, the Middle East, North Africa, the Balkans, the Black Sea, and Ukraine? How does LNG, power interconnection, and infrastructure investment reshape Europe's security after Russia's invasion of Ukraine? And why does the future of the region hinge not only on gas molecules, but also on electrons, transmission lines, and diplomacy? We unpack the momentum behind East Med cooperation, from Israel–Egypt gas ties to undersea electricity interconnectors, and tackle the hard questions:Can energy cooperation really stabilize historically tense regions? Who could disrupt this fragile alignment? And how should Europe and the US think about Turkey, Qatar, and the shifting balance of power across the Eastern Mediterranean?A must-listen conversation at the intersection of energy, strategy, and transatlantic geopolitics.
Since May 2024, according to a report by CRAINS, United and American Airlines intensified their competition and rapidly increased the amount of their flights at O'Hare. Now, the City of Chicago says the high volume of passengers means it can't afford to close Terminal 2 and build a Global Terminal and two satellite terminals by 2029. O'Hare officials say plans for completion of those three projects have been pushed back to 2033.

In the intricate world of global supply chains, contractual disputes are inevitable, and financial consequences can be severe. For ports and terminals, exposure to such risks can be significantly reduced by using and maintaining a robust set of standard trading conditions (STCs).
On this episode of **Remy's Roundtable: The Florida Theme Park Podcast**, hosts **Remy** and **Mike** return to the mic to bring you another entertaining and news-packed conversation straight from the heart of Florida's theme park scene. The episode kicks off with Remy recounting his most recent adventure at **Disney's Hollywood Studios**, where he spent the day exploring attractions with a close friend. The day was filled with laughter, great memories, and perhaps a few too many drinks under the blazing Florida sun. Things took an unexpected turn during the **1:15 p.m. showing of the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular**, where the combination of heat, excitement, and cocktails proved to be a little too much for Remy — resulting in a rather unforgettable (and slightly embarrassing) moment. It's a story you don't want to miss, and one that perfectly captures the unpredictable magic of a theme park day in Florida. From there, the conversation shifts into a fun seasonal topic as Remy dives into the world of **Halloween candy trends**. He discusses which sweet treats trick-or-treaters are craving most this year and how some of the most popular options are surprisingly pricey. The discussion turns into a nostalgic trip down memory lane, as both hosts reminisce about their favorite childhood candies and share how Halloween in Florida hits differently when palm trees instead of pumpkins surround you.Next, the Roundtable brings listeners **The Latest Theme Park Updates**, filled with fresh headlines and major changes happening around Central Florida. Over at **Orlando International Airport**, big transformations are underway — the existing Terminals A, B, and C will be rebranded as Terminals 1, 2, and 3 as part of a decade-long modernization project. This plan also includes new technology upgrades, additional parking, and even a hotel on the property to enhance the traveler experience for millions of guests each year. The discussion continues with updates from the world of Disney. The Disability Access Service (DAS) program is once again making headlines with its updated requirements, sparking a lot of conversation among parkgoers. The team breaks down what these changes mean for guests and how they could affect the guest experience moving forward. In addition, **Disney Annual Passholders** have something new to smile about — renewed **discount offers** that become available after a pass expires, giving fans another reason to keep the magic going all year long. For this week's **Ride of the Week**, Remy takes listeners on a nostalgic trip back in time to celebrate **Back to the Future Day** (October 21st). He revisits the groundbreaking **Back to the Future: The Ride** attraction that once thrilled guests at Universal Studios Florida. Remy shares fascinating behind-the-scenes details about the attraction's development, including its impressive cost, making it one of the most expensive and ambitious rides ever built in the 1990s. He explores how the ride revolutionized motion-simulator technology and why it remains a cherished part of Universal's legacy today. To wrap things up, **Mike's Munchies** takes the show to a galaxy far, far away — straight to **Oga's Cantina** in **Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge** at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Mike gives Remy the full Batuu experience, sampling exotic drinks like the Fuzzy Tauntaun and Bespin Fizz while soaking in the immersive theming of the famous cantina. Together, they discuss the food, the ambiance, and what makes Oga's one of the most talked-about destinations for both casual guests and hardcore Star Wars fans.So grab your favorite drink, power up your flux capacitor, and tune in as **Remy and Mike** bring you another round of laughter, nostalgia, and insider updates on this jam-packed episode of **Remy's Roundtable: The Florida Theme Park Podcast** — your gateway to all things Florida theme parks!https://linktr.ee/remysroundtable
Power outages are no longer rare, isolated incidents in the transport and logistics sector. With the increasing complexity of ageing energy grids and growing reliance on electrical and digital systems, blackouts are becoming both more frequent and disruptive – with potentially severe commercial, safety and insurance implications. Ports and terminals should take steps now to make their operations more resilient to power failures, which should include the possibility of planning and rehearsing a safe shutdown.

Airports could save money and drive down airfares by bringing domestic and international terminals together. A study has found integrated airport terminals save on double-ups and encourage passengers to spend more money. It shows this extra revenue could help airports cut costs for airlines, which could mean cheaper fares for travellers. NZ Airports Association CEO Billie Moore told Mike Hosking integration is the dream for all airports. She says it helps them build better, save on spending over time, and makes the passenger experience better. LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Welcome to the American Railroading Podcast! In this episode our host Don Walsh is joined by guest Denson White, Chief Commercial Officer of APM Terminals, Pier 400 in the Port of Los Angeles / Long Beach, CA. Together they discuss the current state of the U.S. supply chain, the effect that trade wars and tariffs can have on it, as well as how lessons learned during Covid will help those in supply chain today, and the surprising year-to-date stats of U.S. carload and intermodal traffic. Tune in to this episode to gain valuable insights and broaden your understanding of American Railroading! You can find this episode and more on the American Railroading Podcast's official website at www.AmericanRailroading.net , and watch our YouTube Channel at the link below. Welcome aboard!KEY POINTS: Don Walsh dedicates this episode to the loving memory of his niece, Dr. JaeLynn Bobbie Stewart. Love you J.B. This is Denson's 2nd appearance on the podcast. The first being Season 1, Episode 5 titled “Supply Chain – The Relationship Between Ports & Rail”. Be sure to go back and give it a listen. In 2024, APM Terminals completed a $73M rail expansion project at Pier 400 in the Port of Los Angeles, CA., which is projected to eliminate 1,200 truck trips per day by 2040.While intermodal railcars make up only 4% of the U.S. national fleet, 48% of all U.S. rail traffic is generally intermodal rail shipments.Intermodal freight transport is defined as involving the transportation of freight in an intermodal container, using multiple modes of transportation (i.e. ship, rail, truck and aircraft) , without any physical handling of the freight inside the container when changing modes. As discussed in Episode 3 of Season 3, the Government is the 800lb gorilla in the room, as they are always tinkering with things like regulations, taxes, interest rates and tariffs.Denson provides an insider's viewpoint on how the current tariffs and pending trade war with China are already effecting U.S. ports and the overall supply chain.Don gives an update on PHMSA's pending rulings HM264b and HM265 at the end of the episode after “”My 2 Cents”, so please stay tuned until the very end.The American Railroading Podcast remains in the Top 10% of all podcasts worldwide!
