This has been an exciting 3 month series on a non-profit organization that carries out the dream of serving under-served populations; STAND (Sustainable Therapy and New Development) The Haiti Project. It is a pro bono clinic serving over 900 patients a trip in Port-de-Paix, Haiti. In this series, we have heard from volunteers from each corner of the clinic (Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Neuro, General Medicine, Wound Care). Welcome to week 7 of #STANDSaturday covering another corner of the clinic – Neuro. Steven Kinney earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Columbia University in 2011. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and certified in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA). In addition, he completed extensive training in Neuro-Developmental Treatment, becoming certified under Recovering Function (RPSFC). He also has achieved certification as an Integrated Manual Therapist (CIMT) with Great Lakes Seminars. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists.
