WILL DYSON is a born and bred Londoner. After a short spell away studying Geography at Manchester University, Will returned to London and has worked in several of the city's central businesss improvement districts (BIDS) including Waterloo, Baker Street and currently Bond Street/Oxford Street. Will acknowledges that London has many faces and he understands its strengths and vulnerabilities as well as its harsh sides. In recent years Will faced his biggest challenge with London; the processing of personal trauma and injury as a result of the Westminster Bridge terrorist attack of March 2017. Will is passionate about cities, not only London, and he has travelled widely to experience and understand them first hand. He says that places which resonate with him the most are those with which he associates true meaning. This is Will's inspiring story about London, the world and life. *** To find out more about Will Dyson's professional life click here: https://uk.linkedin.com/in/will-dyson-97b3a0b2 *** TO KNOW MORE about your podcast host EMMA you can go to https://www.travellingthrough.co.uk/ THANKS to MARISKA Martina at https://www.mariskamartina.com/ for creating our upbeat travelling through podcast jingle! Due to Winter Storm Uri, I was unable to put out a new episode this week. Instead, I dug deep into the archives and found my very first episode of the Adulting With ADHD podcast, in which I tell my story of being diagnosed in my mid-30s. Multiple times through the book of Acts Paul sets the example for mature Christians to follow in sharing the story of what Christ had done in his life. Paul wasn't concerned about his personal safety or the various gods around him, he had 100% faith and assurance that Jesus was the way, the truth, and the light. When was the last time you shared Jesus with someone? Join us as we discuss putting fear aside and sharing your faith.
There’s nothing like being drawn into a good story. From superhero adventures to comedies, stories have a way of touching our hearts. “The Story You Tell Yourself” collection kicks off with an enlightening talk by Pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr., “That’s My Story and I’m Sticking to It.” Compelling stories are composed of characters, settings, plots, conflicts, and resolutions. In our story called “Life” the author is also the hero who brings about the final resolution. When we understand the story of the gospel, we are able to securely fit our characters into the parts God has asked us to play.
We've been so excited to bring this episode to you guys. During the interim between the last season and this one, we had a long talk and agreed on something: we wanted to take the show in a new direction. As we have been working on the show and learning about podcasting, our vision has developed and flowered into what we think is now the best version of the show yet. "That's My Story and I'm Sticking to It" is back and way better than ever. Jenn and I are taking a more in-depth view of our books, and we're beginning with the Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo. We've both read this series in the past, loved it and decided each book was worth a dedicated review. We've both wanted to tackle some top YA series for a while, and what better place to start than here? This series was the first one I read after I moved back to Florida and it just happened that Jenn and I decided to read it at the same time, which is one of the many reasons this episode is so special to us. We hope you enjoy our review of Shadow and Bone, and be on the look out for the book 2 review soon. Thanks guys!Kayla

About Carolyn: In 1990, the call came to start a church. We officially incorporated. In retrospect, I now know that we were chosen to be a part of the ushering in of the Third Day Glory Church. At the time, I was preaching by vision and Spirit of Revelation. As in every move of God, we came under heavy persecutions. However, the Lord was more than faithful. He raised up dear Pastors, Prophets and Ministries to stand with us. Those great warriors continue to be a part of the Eldership of this ministry. We had incredible visitations and mighty outpourings of the Glory of God in our meetings. Hindsight now reveals that without the persecution, we would never have dug in. Also, we had to be tested by persecution in order to overcome and be proven to produce fruit 30-60-100 fold. In 1997, my husband's company moved us to Houston, After a much needed rest and time to reflect on what had transpired in those 7-years in Baton Rouge, the Lord again directed me to start a new work here in Houston. This came in along with the Golden Glory Revival. The Lord did not tell me that I would be a conduit of the Golden Glory, but that I was to prophesy it. I was preparing to teach on Gift of Miracles at a community Bible Study. Our friends, Barney and Joann Fuller, mailed me the book by Ruth Ward Heflin, Golden Glory. I read the book on a flight to Los Angeles. That night I awoke, sitting straight up in my bed. The room was filled with golden angels. They were all singing the song recorded by Candy Christmas, GLORY, GLORY, GLORY, THAT'S MY STORY."

We kick off another "Inside Music Row" with the mention of Toby Keith as he recently helped raise over a million dollars for the OK Kids Korral during the 10th annual Toby Keith and Friends Golf Classic. Construction on the Korral should be complete by October, giving children and their families a place to stay while undergoing treatment for cancer. Up next is husband and wife duo Joey and Rory as they are inviting fans to their farm again for their special Farmhouse Concert Series - the series will continue each month through October at their farm in Pottsvill, Tennessee. Katie Armigeris also in the news as she has been chosen as the newest brand ambassador for Pastry. Katie is the first country artist to help promote the Pastry message of "Live Life Sweet." Collin Raye is mentioned too as he kicked off his new "That's My Story" national tour last month. You can catch Collin on the road through December, so check out CollinRaye.com for more info. We also mention The Grand Ole Opry as it is helping to bring fans a little closer to "Nashville," the hit drama on ABC. Check out the exhibit through the Grand Ole Opry House Backstage Tours through October. Finally, we go Inside The Song with Matt Warren to hear about a song he co-wrote called "Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain)" which Gary Allan took all the way to number one.
Gary U.S. Bonds joins host Robin Milling to talk about his new book, By U.S. Bonds, That's My Story. Written with a foreword by Steven Van Zandt, it's an autobiography that's a love story, according to co-writer Stephen Cooper who helped Gary organize his life into 20 chapters. Impossible as that seems, the stories are classic such as meeting Bruce Springsteen and forming a friendship that still thrives. As Gary recalls Bruce came to his show in New Jersey circa '76 and years later called him to record Dedication. Gary tells Robin he repaid the favor, gifting Bruce a '57 Chevy with 'Dedication' emblazoned on the fender. Bruce still proudly drives it around Jersey. Gary's career began during the racially charged '50s where music might be color blind but the world certainly wasn't. He says he'd perform at all-white clubs, painfully aware of the segregation, but blended in as an entertainer and never had a problem. It was only touring with Dick Clark's Caravan of Stars in the early '60s that he experienced racism when he couldn't stay at the same hotel as white bands like Bobby Rydell. At 74, Gary has lived a life of music and still does celebrating his birthday at BB Kings in NYC where musicians come to honor his musical legacy. There's plenty more story to be told.
