PJ feels that this is the end of Virtanen’s time with the organization, while also questioning how the team handled the release on the Virtanen news, wondering why no one from the management side or ownership spoke on the allegations. The interview wraps with PJ’s thoughts on Tryamkin signing back in the KHL. TSN1040’s Rick Dhaliwal says the Canucks are trying to sign four players – Nikita Tryamkin, Mathias Bromé, Nils Höglander & Jack Rathbone. Rick says the IIFH transfer agreement is holding up any Bromé/ Höglander deals & Rathbone won’t likely make a decision until prospects camp.

Nikita Tryamkin’s agent Todd Diamond says the last time around, the Russian thought he should have gotten a longer look, more playing time, especially towards the end of the year. If Tryamkin was to return to the Canucks, Todd says the defenceman would want to sit down with Travis Green to discuss what his role would be and where he’d fit in with this Canucks roster.
