Grand amateur de cinéma et expert en arts martiaux mixtes, Aubin-Mercier salue la performance de The Rock, qu’il qualifie d’excellente. Il comprend parfaitement l’ovation monstre reçue par Johnson lors d’un festival de films : « C’est mérité. » Mais ce qui l’a le plus frappé? La qualité des scènes d’action : « Ce sont les meilleures scènes de combats que j’ai vues dans un film de MMA… ça a vraiment l’air réaliste! » L’entrevue prend aussi une tournure plus personnelle alors qu’il parle de sa nouvelle vie de retraité, désormais consacrée à ses deux jeunes filles et à une routine bien différente de celle de l’octogone.
