Psalm 27 | Josh Miller
Prayer, with thanksgiving, being one part of natural worship, is by God required of all men. But that it may be accepted, it is to be made in the name of the Son, by the help of the Spirit, according to his will; with understanding, reverence, humility, fervency, faith, love, and perseverance; and when with others, in a known tongue. (1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith 22.3)
In today's message, we explore the power of worship through song and how music helps us stay connected to God. Worship engages our body, soul, and spirit, teaching us to never stop praying. Join us as we discuss how music is a tool for prayer, the importance of worshiping together, and living in obedience to God daily. The Christian belief in the Holy Trinity significantly influences our worship, prayer, and daily living. As we reflect on the Lord's Prayer Jesus taught his disciples, the Great Commission he gave them before he ascended to heaven, and other apostolic teachings in the New Testament, we can see how these biblical truths shape our worship and prayer. Together, let's discuss the implications of our trinitarian theology for our sanctification and Christian community and witness the essential work of our triune God in every aspect of our lives.
Worship and prayer nights are a perfect time to sit and be with God. It's essential for every believer to make room in their daily life to commune with Jesus in worship AND in prayer. These nights make space for anyone to come and minister to the Lord. We hold these nights on the first Wednesday of every month at 6:30pm unless specified otherwise.

Have you experienced the glory of God? ABOUT THE MESSAGEWith so many ideas of who God is floating around our society, it is vitally important to have a strong understanding of who it is that we follow and worship. The word “god” is very broad and vague, but our God has a name that sets Him apart from all others that may claim to be “gods”. In this message, Pastor Mark Stermer breaks down the name that God gave for us to call Him and all that it means. He also explores scripture for what God says about His true nature. Knowing this truth of who God is will influence all other areas of your life and is the very foundation to stand upon! Worship and Prayer are vital to each Believer and are necessary to encounter the Lord. This month we sought the Lord in areas of our lives that need pruning and other areas that need watered. “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful." John 15: 1-2
The Rev. Dr. Brian Saunders, President of the Iowa East District of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, joins the Rev. Dr. Phil Booe to study 1 Timothy 2. St. Paul instructs Timothy to encourage believers to pray for all people, including those in positions of authority, and to live peaceful and quiet lives. It also addresses the role of men and women in worship. In a text that might stoke controversy in today's climate, Paul teaches that men should lead in prayer and teaching while women should learn in quietness and submission. He concludes this section by emphasizing the importance of faith and good deeds in the Christian life. The "Pastoral Epistles" of 1st and 2nd Timothy and Titus, written by the Apostle Paul and divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit, are a treasure trove of invaluable insights into the early Christian church and God's expectation for its leaders. These letters, brimming with wisdom, are not relics of the past but remain authoritative today. They offer a roadmap for navigating the challenges of leadership and teaching, making them not only essential for understanding the role of pastors but also for all Christians seeking to live a life that honors God's will.
