In a salute to the Smithsonian's ongoing commitment to conservation, research, and education to save wildlife and habitats for the world's most endangered animals, this year's Breakfast at the Zoo celebrates some of its latest residents. In addition to the upgraded breakfast buffet and activities at the Mane Grill, young guests and their families can enjoy a live performance and visit three children's activity corners on Lion and Tiger Hill, each focusing on games and projects that reflect the habitats of the newest arrivals. In a special feature this year, Eva Pell, former under secretary for science at the Smithsonian, reads from the most recent in her series of middle-school adventure novels focusing on endangered species, ResQ and the Baby Orangutan, set in the wilds of Borneo. This summer marks the return of a friendly faced duo who have re-entered the fold. Zoo Look is a production and dj duo made up of two old friends who have been releasing music together since 2011. The pair have developed a crucial understanding of their production aesthetic and the new release on Lost Palms is perhaps their most significant to date. As DJ's they draw for an eclectic mix of house, techno and beyond with merits from the likes of Bicep and beyond. The new EP is titled "Similar Steps" and is a subtle blend of deep house arrangements, electro and the abstract spaces in between. It's dreamy in parts and yet restrained. This set is much the same featuring jackin' house from across the board - club focussed and energetic this is highly danceable stuff.

Sydney DJ, Space Junk (http://www.soundcloud.com/spacejunkdj), is one of the most vibrant and passionate deep house DJs kicking around the scene.
