For Marijan Raskovic, aka Jelly For The Babies, this is certainly the case. For Marijan, music is life. His first synthesiser was a Casio SA-20, and the 100 sound banks that it came with were enough to capture his heart. Coming from the time of a severe economic crash in Serbia, Marijan struggled for a better life, while learning the ins and outs of music production on his home computer. Over the years, he has refined his approach, and his “Jelly For The Babies” moniker pioneers what he calls the “candy flavored sound.” - Jelly For The Babies project was created in 2007th. Whole project is based mostly on melodic sounds with plenty of vocals mixed up in three different genres, Deep, Progressive and Tech House. - First releases were based on collaborations with great international artists and signed for very best labels. On that way promotion was highly on top, and after a while Jelly gets in contact with Balkan Connection and Proton where he released his first highlight track titled as Johannesburg. Hello, and welcome to episode 68 of the Regenerate podcast with me Phil WIlshaw from Phoenix 6. I'm really excited to bring you today's mix which I recorded live from a pool party in Ibiza. I actually had to stitch this mix back together because part way through my set i got pulled into the pool by Dominik Mori. This set was actually a special part of his Wedding, which we were all out in Ibiza for. It was an amazing week, and an incredible day. I'm hoping that some more mixes from that trip might find the light of day in the near future. So this mix really is the best of my current sound, starting out mysterious and progressive, and building up to some driving but happy house music. Into the Deeper End  Grab a book, dim the lights, ignite the candles, close your eyes and let yourselves go.. After my foray into Tranceland, I felt the need to go Deep, with minimal to no samples , vocals, nor edits and just work on finding very current tunes from the Deeper end that would mix well. After being in the Dust for ten days your thought process begins to sway in the way of being cloudy. Having cut-throat electro tracks and nasty Basslines, sweeping thru the air for a week also tends to change your school of thought. Having said this I had been poppin’ over to DISTRIKT every day at least once, to get my daytime wiggle on. As part of Robot Heart, it was nice to see our BOT dropping sub-science alongside everyone towards the end of the week. The bass was always fresh and the “Captain’s” air horn was always boomin’, letting everyone in the crowd (and the neighbors) know that it was time to jump as high as possible and scream at the top of their dusty lungs. So when it came time for me to rock the DISTRIKT system on Saturday, I had already played six sets on the playa. This would be my last of the year at Burning Man and as it was on the earlier side of the day, I thought it best to lay down a nice progressive acid set, for that somber reminder, that it was all about to be over, but all is not lost. Я решил Вас порадовать, своей новой работой в любимом мне направлении. Что не говори, а deep house для меня будет главным моим направлением. Представляю вашему внимание, продолжение своих «звездных полетов», а точнее серии миксов посвященным, звездам, космосу, бесконечности… я очень люблю такое состояние… у меня так, или космос или вода… В главных ролях такие гранды «intelligent deep house»* сцены как: Krummstoff, Hideo Kobayashi, Thomas Sari, Sebastian Davidson, Robert Babicz, Evren Ulusoy и другие. Микс на самом деле был еще записан до моего отпуска, просто не успел выложить, скорее даже просто взял его с собой в отпуск. На море микс пошел как надо, на пляже, ночью под звездами и даже в поезде))) Микс красивый и очень глубокий, в прямом смысле слова. Особенно с момента трека Hideo Kobayashi, такое впечатление, что оказываешься в глубоком космосе. Микс – это как путешествие к звездам, к самой яркой звезде ночного неба – «Сириус». Начало игривое, ожидание перед полетом, потом второй трек – мы взлетаем!!! Покидаем атмосферу! И полетели!!! А дальше настоящий космос по звучанию, так что пристегиваем ремни, 4-3-2-1! Я решил Вас порадовать, своей новой работой в любимом мне направлении. Что не говори, а deep house для меня будет главным моим направлением. Представляю вашему внимание, продолжение своих «звездных полетов», а точнее серии миксов посвященным, звездам, космосу, бесконечности… я очень люблю такое состояние… у меня так, или космос или вода… В главных ролях такие гранды «intelligent deep house»* сцены как: Krummstoff, Hideo Kobayashi, Thomas Sari, Sebastian Davidson, Robert Babicz, Evren Ulusoy и другие. Микс на самом деле был еще записан до моего отпуска, просто не успел выложить, скорее даже просто взял его с собой в отпуск. На море микс пошел как надо, на пляже, ночью под звездами и даже в поезде))) Микс красивый и очень глубокий, в прямом смысле слова. Особенно с момента трека Hideo Kobayashi, такое впечатление, что оказываешься в глубоком космосе. Микс – это как путешествие к звездам, к самой яркой звезде ночного неба – «Сириус». Начало игривое, ожидание перед полетом, потом второй трек – мы взлетаем!!! Покидаем атмосферу! И полетели!!! А дальше настоящий космос по звучанию, так что пристегиваем ремни, 4-3-2-1! Snow feelings – хоть зима еще и не наступила, но в душе уже давно зимнее настроение, а зима для меня, как и для многих не может быть без снега. Этот микс рождался долго, материал собирался почти месяц. А все потому, что не мог найти то чего хотел, любимые лейблы и артисты не спешили радовать своими работами. Но я дождался и теперь по порядку: во-первых, хочу поздравить Алексея Смолянинова (Elastic Sound) с открытием его лейбла - Aquamarine Digital, который входит в семью Deepology Digital и с выходом первого релиза на одноименном лейбле - Aquamarine Sampler Vol.1. В который вошли новые работы таких гигантов дип-сцены как: Pete Gust, Herb LF, Sendos Fuera, Da Funk, Ricky Inch, Ocean Gaya, K-Bana, Ivan Enot, Mastercris и др. Во-вторых, хочу поздравить, да и вообще просто отметить отличный релиз от Aleksey Beloozerov – October EP, который вышел на Pitch-Music. Наконец-то я его дождался, супер релиз и нечего говорить, а про ремиксы, это отдельный разговор – они прекрасны. Больше всего мне понравился ремикс, Григория Фатянова. В последнее время, я постоянно попадаю на ремиксы этого музыканта, и теперь с твердостью могу сказать что Гриша – один из лучших ремиксеров России. Открытием для меня было творчество музыканта из Турции - Evren Ulusoy, два трека которого попали в компиляцию. У него красивая, атмосферная музыка, как я люблю, теперь буду внимательней присматриваться к его творчеству, чего и вам советую. А трек Digital Beings In Love, Ynnad Zeugnimod стал судьбоносным для микса, он для меня в миксе основной. Звуки саксофона сделали свое дело, а саксофон, кто не знает моя слабость. Микс был бы не микс, если бы там не было моего любимого Ricky Inch. Elastic Sound - Moon Travel – этот трек я могу слушать без перерыва, настоящее лунное путешествие… отличный атмосферный дип. Чуть не забыл! ;) А релиз то вышел на Low Flow Records – лейбле, моих любимых музыкантов с Армении: Ашота Бабаяна и Гарри Мкртчяна (Mad and Spectral, Krummstoff, Salt Sweet, Fabien Kamb). iMotion - Deeper tonight, этот трек у меня в коллекции появился до официального релиза еще в далеком 2006-ом году, благодаря его автору – iMotion. Я всегда хотел его использовать в одной из своих работ, но все не было подходящего момента и вот он настал. Кто не знает, iMotion мой хороший товарищ из родного Киева. Deeper tonight для меня особенный трек, когда то был, почти как кислород… Спасибо Петя за композицию! И ждем теперь твоего дебютного релиза на Deepology Digital.
