But high-profile cases like this one are intensifying public scrutiny and fueling a broader national conversation about whether current systems adequately protect public safety in cases involving violent defendants. Sin embargo, existe una realidad que muchos ignoran: entrenar sin una técnica adecuada o elegir ejercicios con un perfil de riesgo elevado puede provocar lesiones crónicas. Muchas de las molestias que hoy ignoras en el gimnasio pueden enquistarse con el paso de los años. Especialmente si superas los 40 años y has sido una persona sedentaria, es fundamental entender que el objetivo no es solo entrenar duro, sino entrenar de forma inteligente. En este artículo, analizamos 5 ejercicios que suelen ser el origen de numerosas lesiones y te propongo alternativas más seguras y eficientes para proteger tus articulaciones. La realidad de entrenar pesas después de los 40 La edad no es una excusa para dejar de entrenar, pero sí un factor para ajustar nuestras limitaciones. Si nunca has practicado deporte o has sido muy sedentario, tu estructura articular puede no estar lista para ciertos movimientos complejos. El principio básico que debemos aplicar es el de riesgo-beneficio: si un ejercicio te ofrece un beneficio limitado pero pone en peligro la integridad de tus hombros, rodillas o espalda, es momento de cambiarlo por una opción más segura. 1. Remo al mentón Es un clásico en muchos gimnasios, pero es uno de los ejercicios que más compromete la salud de tus hombros. Al elevar la barra hacia el mentón con los codos apuntando al cielo, fuerzas una rotación interna que sobrecarga el supraespinoso y el infraespinoso, que son músculos pequeños y vulnerables. Por qué evitarlo: Es una forma ineficiente de trabajar el trapecio y el hombro lateral que pone en riesgo tus manguitos rotadores. La alternativa: Realiza elevaciones laterales con mancuernas, poleas o bandas elásticas. Lograrás el mismo estímulo, necesitarás menos carga y tus articulaciones estarán mucho más protegidas. 2. Ejercicios «tras nuca» (Jalones y Presses) Cualquier movimiento que implique desplazar una carga por detrás de la cabeza requiere una movilidad de hombro excepcional que, a los 40 años, rara vez se posee. Los presses tras nuca comprimen el espacio articular del hombro, aumentando la probabilidad de impingement (pinzamiento). La alternativa: Si buscas trabajar tus tríceps, enfócate en extensiones de tríceps en polea o extensiones katana, donde el hombro permanece fijo y el esfuerzo recae sobre el codo. Para trabajar la espalda usa jalones con la barra delante de ti, no detrás. Y evita cualquier press con la carga detrás de la cabeza, usa cualquier otra variación de press de hombro, menos la que te cuento a continuación. 3. Press Militar tradicional El press militar de pie es un ejercicio exigente que, de nuevo, choca con las limitaciones de movilidad en la columna torácica y los hombros. Si al intentar hacer el gesto pegado a una pared (talones, glúteos, espalda y cabeza en contacto) no logras tocar la pared con el dorso de la mano teniendo el brazo estirado sobre la cabeza, estás forzando una articulación que no está preparada para este ejercicio. La alternativa: Realiza un press de hombro en banco inclinado (entre 70º y 80º). Esta ligera inclinación elimina la necesidad de llevar el brazo estrictamente sobre la cabeza, siendo mucho más amigable para tus articulaciones a largo plazo. 4. All five stations are now active, and a livestream is available via Club Log.  A2 – Botswana - HB9SHD, Remo, is currently operating from Botswana under the callsign A255HD (yes A 2 5 5 HD), having previously been active as ZS2/HB9SHD earlier in March. He expresses gratitude to A2NEW, John, for assistance with his license renewal. Remo operates in casual holiday style using an FT-891 radio and an end-fed antenna for 40, 20, 15, and 10 meters. So far, he has been reported on FT8 on 20, 15 and 10 meters. QSL cards can be sent via bureau or direct (no money needed, just a self-addressed envelope). S2 – Bangladesh - The guys are currently off air as the team is further investigating a noise problem at their QTH. They might have found the issue and are addressing it at this minute. They have 8 rigs.   T31 - Central Kiribati - The Rebel DX Group announced that their T31TTT DXpedition to Kanton, Central  Kiribati, will involve two weeks of operations with a possible plan to establish a permanent remote station at the government site on T31. The main focus will be on digital modes, especially to give operators with less powerful stations a good chance to make contacts and get logged. Duplicate  QSOs are not a concern-participants are welcome to call repeatedly until their  contact is confirmed. The team will also have one CW and one SSB station  active.  The digital operation plan includes running up to 14 radios simultaneously,  with two radios per band. Multiple frequencies will be active at once, using both MSHV multistream and Super Fox modes.
