Send us Fan MailMany of God's greatest works begin in hidden places of prayer. In this message from our series “From the Upper Room to the Living Room,” we look at 2 Timothy 1:5 and discover how sincere faith first lived in Lois and Eunice before it became visible in Timothy's life. This sermon explores:• How faith is cultivated through relationship• Why hidden intercession produces visible destiny• How Christ remains the true source of transformationThis is not a message about pressure or performance. It is a call to faithful, Christ-centered intercession rooted in the hope of the gospel.Because what is cultivated in secret… will one day become visible.

Send us Fan MailMany believers pray—but very few households pray.In this Christ-centered, expository message, we are brought face-to-face with Joshua's challenge in Joshua 24:15: “Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve.” This is not simply a personal call—it is a household call.Through Acts 2:42–47, we see that the early church was not built around events, but around homes where the Word, fellowship, and prayer were practiced daily. This message unpacks three key truths:A house of prayer begins with a decisionDecision must become daily devotionPrayer establishes the rule of God in the homeThrough the finished work of Christ, access to God's presence has already been opened. The question is no longer can God come near—but will we welcome Him in our homes? This sermon invites every believer to move from inspiration to intention, and from church-based faith to household discipleship.

Send us Fan MailWHEN THE CHURCH PRAYS, HEAVEN MOVES | ACTS 4What happens when the church truly prays? In Acts 4, the early church faces real pressure and opposition—but their response is not fear or strategy. Their response is prayer. And when they pray, God moves. In this message, we explore: • Why prayer must be the church's first response • How anchoring prayer in Scripture changes everything • Why the early church asked for boldness instead of comfort • How God responds with presence, power, and proclamationThis is not about routine prayer. This is about a church aligned with God, empowered by the Spirit, and committed to the mission.
Send us Fan MailMany believers approach prayer with uncertainty, as though access to God must still be earned. However, Scripture reveals a different reality.Through the finished work of Jesus Christ, our access to the Father has been fully restored. As our great High Priest, Christ has opened the way for us to come before God with confidence, not hesitation. In this message, we explore:• The restoration of access through the cross• The role of Christ as our High Priest• The foundation of boldness in prayer• Why confidence is rooted in Christ, not in human effortThis sermon calls us to move from striving in prayer to standing in the confidence that Christ has secured.

Psalm 8 reveals that mankind was “crowned with glory and honor,” yet Hebrews 2 reminds us that we do not yet see everything under human rule — “but we see Jesus.”Through Christ, the Second Adam, what was fractured in the fall is restored. Prayer is not begging a distant God; it is alignment with the reign of the risen King. It is how heaven's will is expressed on earth. If you are exploring the purpose of prayer, spiritual authority, the Kingdom of God, or what it means to live as an image-bearer of Christ, this teaching will ground you in Scripture and point you clearly to Jesus.Scripture References:Genesis 1:26–28Psalm 8Hebrews 2:5–9#ChristianPodcast #BibleTeaching #Prayer #KingdomOfGod #Genesis #Hebrews #SpiritualAuthority #ChristCentered

We spoke to Mr Gugulethu Quma, Manager of Electro-Mechanical, about the ongoing water supply issues affecting parts of Joburg. He explained that the problems started on 27 January with a power failure at Rand Water’s Zuikerbosch treatment plant, which hit supply while pumping was already reduced due to emergency valve work at Palmiet. Although there was some improvement in the Midrand system later that week, another power failure at the Palmiet Pump Station on 31 January caused further strain. On top of that, a leak at the Klipfontein Reservoir was detected, with repairs underway, while reservoir levels are slowly recovering but still critically low. I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Wednesday morning, the 20th of August, 2025 and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Gospel of Luke 17:17-18:”So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” I want to say to you this morning, don't forget to say, ”Thank You.” That's all we've got to say, ”Thank You.” Jesus healed ten lepers. Only one out of the ten came back to say, ”Thank You”, and he wasn't even a Jew. He was a foreigner. What about you and I today?I remember many, many years ago, going to a beautiful church in Midrand in Johannesburg. As I walked into the doors of that church, there was a big neon sign up in the front of the church which said, “Missionary work is gratitude for Calvary.” That has stuck with me all these years. I'm talking maybe over 30 years ago. People go to the mission field because they want to say “thank You” to Jesus for what he has done in their lives. It is so sad when a man gets despondent when he says, ”I've done all this work for these people and not one of them appreciates it.” If you are doing it for Jesus, your reward will be from Him. : ”And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.”Matthew 25:40That is why we go to the mission field. That is why we are determined to tell people about Jesus Christ, because we are not doing it even for the people, we are doing it for Him, because He told us to go into all the world and to preach the Gospel to every creature. When I fell in love with the Lord Jesus Christ, on the 18th of February, 1979, I could not contain myself. I wanted everyone to have the peace, the joy and the love in their hearts that I had, and that is why I would do the most outrageous things when I look back on it. It wasn't for any self-gain at all. It was just my way of saying, ”Thank You Jesus, for healing me, for setting me free, for giving me new life.” He says, ”Every time you do it to somebody who can't give you anything back, you are doing it for Me.”Now, today, let us not be like the nine who just went away and forgot to say thank You to the Master. Let us be like that one foreigner who came all the way back and said, ”Lord, thank You for healing me.”Jesus bless you and goodbye.
