God Looking For Men To Stand In The Gap | Bishop David Foh-Amoaning by Calvary International Christian Centre
What God is looking for, you are capable of. It's not talent, looks or results. It's not out of reach for anyone. In part two of this series, David compares King Saul with a young King David to answer this all important question. Check out the book, "David: A Man of Passion and Destiny," by Charles Swindoll. March 13, 2022 - Sunday AM Bible Class - Gospel Meeting Day 3 The topic for the Gospel Meeting is "Building Balanced Believers". For this year's Gospel Meeting we have the special guest speaker, Melvin L. Otey. Melvin has served as an Associate Professor of Law at Faulkner University, Jones School of Law, since August 2014. He writes for Christian publications; conducts Gospel meetings, lectures, and seminars; and serves as a board member of Lads 2 Leaders. He and his wife, Jania, have two sons, Caleb and Christian. They worship with the Perry Hill Road congregation in Montgomery, AL. "A Balanced View of God" Looking at Romans 11, Melvin looks at how people perceive God. Some think of him as sort of Santa Claus, kindly giving to everyone. But many forget the events of the Old Testament, such as Korah, Nadab, Abihu and Uzzah where the seriousness of the Lord is shown. God is both loving and just. He wants us to learn what is right and we cannot do that by not having responsibility for our actions. Duration 29:52

What's the difference between living a God-LIVED life, and living a God-LOOKING life? Ultimately it comes down to the heart. God doesn't want us to be Christians, to go to church, to give offerings, to be kind to strangers because we're supposed to. He wants us to want to do those things because we love God. God wants our heart. And God speaks to our heart through his Word - his living and enduring Word that gives life to all who hear and believe. That's why Peter motivates our good behaviour, not by guilt or shame, but by reminding us who we are - newborn babies - and by encouraging us to do what newborn babies do - crave pure spiritual milk.

In this sermon, we are going to be talking about how The Lord looks at your heart!
Have you ever thought about having a day date with God? Planning for and looking forward to it like you would a date with a significant other? I started having Saturday day dates with God last year mostly out of need; I was just so desperate for God in that season. But it's continued (about 70% of my Saturdays!) because the more time I spend with God, the more I've realized how mind-blowingly amazing he is, and the more I want to be desperate for him as much as possible. This episode will cover 5 reasons to do it and 11 ideas on what to do. May we always look forward to time with God more than anything else. *** Follow along for daily encouragement!
