Depending on who you listen to, Michigan's penalties could be anywhere from severe, to barely a slap on the wrist. However, the university did self-impose a two-game suspension on head coach Sherrone Moore recently, and the NCAA has reportedly scheduled its Committee on Infractions hearing for June 6-7. The Dean. The Grand Poobah. On the road. Same destination. Wednesday's workout at Delaware Hayes high in the Columbus suburbs likely needed extra security given our guys in the same place to handle paparazzi. Bill Kurelic and Mark Porter were there to see Favour Akih and other Ohioans show and have a complete report. We also dive deep on two Glenville possibilities as Mark travels to spend his day at Pipeline High. All that plus a huge (possible) commitment coming on Monday. Jim Knowles spoke about his departure from Ohio State and what led up to it during a wide-ranging interview with Heather Dinich of ESPN on Tuesday. What did we make of Knowles' comments? And is there a chance things worked out well in this situation for all parties involved? Ohio State is very happy with the hiring of Matt Patricia as defensive coordinator. Penn State is happy about poaching Knowles from the Buckeyes. And Knowles is happy to be in his home state making north of $3 million per year. Yes, there's a very good chance it worked out well for all sides, but it's still an interesting story. And keep in mind we just heard one side of the story in Dinich's piece. Also on today's show, what might the race for the Big Ten championship look like this year? What about the national title? How are those Heisman odds looking? Dave Biddle flies solo on today's show to delve into all of that and more. Californian? In. Ohioan? Out. Trend? We had to bring in Bill Kurelic and Mark Porter for such weighty topics. Our dynamic duo attempts to put in perspective the addition of Kayden Dixon-Wyatt and the exit of Elbert Hill. If you need details, we've got 'em. If you need opinions ... we've got those, too. The Poobah also checks in from the road with a litany of vibes on prospects he's seen over the last week in Ohio. Jamier Brown update? Quality time with RJ Day and his pops? All of that ... and more. Stop us if you have heard this one before: Brian Hartline landed a top wide receiver recruit for Ohio State. Yes, the best in the business at recruiting -- and developing -- WRs struck again on Sunday. The Buckeyes received a commitment from Kayden Dixon-Wyatt who is ranked as the No. 6 WR in the country and the No. 59 overall prospect in the 2026 class. Ohio State has the No. 3 class in the country in the 247Sports Composite rankings, and the Buckeyes have the second-best average player rating. Dixon-Wyatt becomes the fourth wideout in OSU's class and is the third-highest ranked player in the class, behind WR Chris Henry Jr. and safety Blaine Bradford. Also on today's show, Dave Biddle and Dan Rubin are going to take a close look inside the trenches for Ohio State this season. In quite a twist from last year at this time, the offensive line looks strong, but there are big concerns about defensive tackle depth. If we had to pick, which one of these guys will play the most snaps as the top backup DT this season: Tywone Malone, Eric Mensah, Jason Moore or Will Smith Jr.? Who would you choose? All of that and more is coming your way on the Monday 5ish. Unless something drastically changes, it does not appear as though Ohio State will add a defensive tackle via the transfer portal. As head coach Ryan Day said earlier this week, the Buckeyes have been looking, but they are not going to add a DT just for the sake of doing it. Does this basically mean Ohio State's roster is set for 2025? That is one of the subjects tackled by Jonah Booker and Dave Biddle on the Friday 5ish. Ohio State came within one pick of tying the all-time NFL Draft record over the weekend, but "only" 14 Buckeyes were drafted. We were pleasantly surprised in the first round when four OSU players came off the board, the most of any program this year. We also liked seeing three Buckeyes drafted in the second round. But then some strange things began to happen. Jack Sawyer falling to the fourth round? No one saw that coming. Will Howard falling to the sixth round and being drafted behind quarterbacks such as Dillon Gabriel and Kyle McCord? Seth McLaughlin going undrafted? Is the Rimington Award winner even allowed to be undrafted? Apparently so. But hey, it was still an excellent draft for the Buckeyes and we are going to talk about it on today's show. Also, OSU head coach Ryan Day will meet with the media tomorrow (Tuesday) which will be his first press conference since the relatively brief one following the spring game. Well, that was unexpected. And awesome. In a year where Ohio State was supposed to dominate the second night of the draft (rounds 2-3) -- which will still happen to some degree -- the Buckeyes actually had more first rounders than anyone else with four. Most analysts only had wide receiver Emeka Egbuka and offensive tackle Josh Simmons projected as first rounders. Both of them did go in the opening round, and so did offensive lineman Donovan Jackson and defensive tackle Tyleik Williams. Ohio State has now produced 95 first-round draft picks all time, the most of any program. What will tonight look like? What else is going on in the world of OSU football? Both NFL.com and The Athletic are predicting that 15 Ohio State players will be selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, which would tie the all-time record. What would make the 2025 season a successful one for Ohio State? Do the Buckeyes have to become the first team in school history to win back-to-back national championships for the season to be considered a success? What about a scenario where OSU defeats Michigan and makes the College Football Playoff, but falls short of the national title? Perhaps even losing in the quarterfinals. Would that be a successful season in your book? That is the main topic on today's show with Jonah Booker and Dave Biddle. Also discussed is how certain players helped themselves this spring and whether the Buckeyes will be able to land an impact defensive tackle in the transfer portal. Tell the truth: How confident were you when Chris Henry, Jr., verbally committed to Ohio State in late July of 2023? Were you a 'Wake me when signs' type? Henry, Jr., the former Ohioan now starring for California powerhouse Mater Dei, shut down all other suitors earlier this week and confirmed his commitment to Ohio State. Score another for WRU. Our Bill Kurelic and Mark Porter dive deep on Henry, Jr., dating back to his time on the Ohio gridiron (and hardcourt, where he was a standout hoopster) and projecting how he will fit into the Buckeyes upon arrival. Then it's get-to-know Favour Akih time. The Class of 2026 running back from Delaware (Ohio) Hayes will be back in Columbus this weekend. Akih has an announced final trio of Ohio State, Miami and USC. Ohio State's secondary calls itself "BIA" (Best In America). The Buckeyes made a strong case for themselves in 2024 when they helped lead OSU to the national championship. This year's group is losing cornerback Denzel Burke , nickel Jordan Hancock and safety Lathan Ransom, who were definitely key cogs on the national title squad. However, it is not a stretch in the least to say the Buckeyes might be even better in the secondary in 2025. The last three times our Tuesday-Thursday trio convened for this show we had a fresh commitment to discuss. Make it four for four! And this one was the most surprising yet. Ohio State garnered a commitment on Monday from Blaine Bradford. Not only is he the nation's No. 1 Class of 2026 defensive back, according to the 247Sports Composite, the 6-foot-1, 207-pound safety is from Baton Rouge, La. Is Ohio State on its way to crafting another epic secondary haul? Does the Bradford pledge affect Mississippi safety Bralan Womack (the nation's No. 2DB who is scheduled to visit this coming weekend).
