I cannot express enough how much I adore The Exploring Faith, Pursuing Grace podcast. From the moment it came into my life, I knew that it was a divine gift from God, teaching me to extend grace just as He did and to view everything and everyone with a Kingdom mindset. At the time, I was in the midst of helping some friends through difficult situations and I didn't know how to approach them mentally. But the first two episodes of this podcast completely shifted my perspective, not only on those current situations but on everything I would encounter for the rest of my life. It provided me with a solid foundation of understanding God's character and has made all the difference in how I perceive various circumstances. This podcast has been invaluable in helping me confront prejudices and preconceptions, allowing God's character to permeate through every topic discussed.

The best aspect of The Exploring Faith, Pursuing Grace podcast is how Kevin and Lee flesh out each topic with such depth that one almost doesn't have any questions left unanswered. Their genuine openness to feedback and questions is truly commendable. They take the time to thoroughly examine new ideas presented to them and are dedicated to seeking the truth. What sets this podcast apart is their willingness to explore topics from different perspectives with an open mind, creating an environment that encourages listeners to truly engage in seeking God's truth.

While there may be occasional instances where I don't agree with everything said in the episodes, what stands out is Kevin and Lee's dedication to seeking truth when faced with differing opinions or new ideas. Their soft hearts towards discovering genuine truth shine through in their discussions. It is refreshing to witness their commitment to looking deep into the Word of God in an open and honest manner.

In conclusion, The Exploring Faith, Pursuing Grace podcast has been a source of immense encouragement for me as I listen to these hosts delve deeply into Scripture with openness and vulnerability. While not every aspect may align with my personal beliefs, I have complete confidence in their commitment to seeking truth. This podcast is a must-listen for anyone searching to know who God truly is, instead of relying solely on the perceptions of others. If you're struggling with legalism, external expectations that contradict biblical principles, or face challenges in your faith journey, this podcast will provide valuable insights and guidance. Give it a listen and experience the soft hearts these hosts have towards pursuing genuine truth.

They also emphasize that this perspective is not new, but has been recognized by Jewish interpreters for centuries. They argue that understanding the intended value of Jonah is more important than trying to make it fit into a specific historical framework. The conversation explores the themes of rebirth, descent, and salvation in the book of Jonah. In this conversation, Daniel Rogers interviews William Paul Young, the author of The Shack. They discuss the imagery of God as Father and why some people struggle with this concept. Young explains that many people have difficulty with the Father imagery because of negative experiences with their own fathers. He emphasizes that God as Father is a metaphor and not a literal representation, and that the best traits of a father can be found in the character and nature of God. Young also discusses the importance of healing our theology and reexamining our understanding of the Old Testament scriptures. He suggests looking for Jesus in the story and reading the scriptures literarily instead of literally. Daniel Rogers and Paul Young discuss various theological topics, including the nature of God, the interpretation of Old Testament violence, and the concept of eternal conscious torment. They explore the idea that God is love and that everything about God should be understood through the lens of love. They also discuss the Trinity as the mutual interpenetration of the three persons without the loss of personhood. Paul Young shares insights from his book 'The Shack' and his upcoming sequel. Overall, the conversation challenges traditional theological beliefs and encourages a deeper understanding of God's love and grace.
