Linda King caught the travel bug at an early age. She also grew up in a family of writers. After working in the travel and banking industries—and discovering that there was an appetite for her travel advice—she started The Smart Travelista: a website and series of travel books to help people travel wisely and save money doing it. Linda tells me more about that journey and about her more recent foray into creative nonfiction, and also offers some travel tips and a pep talk for anyone who needs a little motivation to give travel a try. We also talk about how travel influences your creative process. Check out the show notes at fycuriosity.com, and join the conversation on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter! Linda King, a travel writer, and blogger of the smarttravelista site stopped by to chat about budget travel and safety on the road among other topics. Her past experiences in the travel (airline) and banking industries allowed her to start her own business that deals with all aspects of traveling for would-be travelers. Her quick-read books are available on Amazon.
Working as a Banker and a Travel Agent made a good combination for Linda King. She is now an expert on advising people how to save money by traveling.Travel well without the cost is a good motto. This also applies to International travel, where many people just assume that it has to be more expensive to take a trip out of the country rather than stay in a hotel or rent a home on the beach close to home. In addition, there are many ways to earn "points" on airlines and hotel programs, but using them at the right time can also provide savings. It all sounds complicated, but its not.So, if you have any ambition to travel to a faraway destination but are thinking that it is too costly, well maybe think again. As far as other factors are concerned: healthcare, safety, jetlag, locations, to name a few, Linda probably has the answers .Check her out here:https://twitter.com/the_travelistahttps://www.instagram.com/thesmartravelistahttps://www.facebook.com/Thesmartravelistahttps://www.thesmarttravelista.com

Life's Issues with Lloyd Rosen and his guest Allen Klein & Lori Finnila aka Lori Jean Always Look on the Bright Side is the essence of Allen Klein's thinking. As I read through it I was reminded of how powerful words can be. The quotations in this book will stir your emotions and spark your imagination. Some will take you back to precious moments from days gone by. While others will cause you to reminisce and appreciate how important the simple things in life are. The true beauty of this book however, is that you can pick it up any time, turn to any page and read any quote and you will feel something resonate within you. This book is a gem in that it reminds you that every day is a reason to rejoice and to be thankful, regardless of your circumstances. It's an emotional roller coaster that embraces life to the fullest. Come on Lori's HEALING JOURNEY from Abuse!!
