It didn't upload properly and I didn't realize that it didn't go through until Saturday afternoon. Anyway, final rounds of the Marvel Madness tournament with special guest judge William Soller!

I'm gonna level with y'all, shit got crazy in the book Rob's been reading, so he ending up reading the last couple hundred pages Thursday night instead of finishing editing and uploading this episode, sorry it's a day late!In this one we're joined by guest judge and notorious fan fiction author Annabelle Fisher to knock out the Elite Eight of our Marvel Madness tournament, and talk about Queens, capes, and Queens some more. Matches include Spiderman v Agent Coulson, Thor v Groot, Thanos v Hulk and Okoye v Captain Marvel. Final Four and Championship are next week!! 

The exciting second half of the Sweet Sixteen! We're joined by special guest judge Lucas Southworth. featuring Iron Man v Hawkeye, Captain Marvel v Doctor Strange, Groot v Black Panther, and Thor v Star Lord, plus a surprise twist! 

We've made it to the Sweet Sixteen of the Marvel Madness tournament, and things are getting heated! Special guest judge/producer/birthday girl Michelle Bouchard joins us to kill off a few more of our favorites. This weeks match ups include Captain America v Agent Coulson, Scarlet Witch v Spiderman, Thanos v Black Widow, and The Hulk v Loki! 

Week three of the Marvel Madness Tournament completes our first round matches with guest judge Tori Smith! Lot of white men in this one, and we discover which Marvel movie Beau hasn't actually seen. Matches include Iron Man v Wong, Hawkeye v Valkyrie, Captain Marvel v Yondu, Doctor Strange v Rocket Raccoon, and Captain America v Mantis. 

In week 2 of our Marvel Madness tournament we cover the next 6 round one matches, joined by guest judge Danni Hepp. Match ups include Hulk v Wasp, Loki v Drax, Thor v Falcon, Star Lord v Winter Soldier, Black Panther v Heimdall, and Groot v War Machine. 

IT'S FINALLY TIME! The tournament that no one asked for!To celebrate the impending release of Avengers Endgame (and the success of Captain Marvel) we're holding a Marvel Madness tournament to select, once and for all, the BEST AVENGER. To kick off the tourney, we're joined by Huge Nerd Dale Van Slyke!

Simon teaches Rob and Beau a thing or two about the secret history of giant skeletons, and the web of conspiracies surrounding it. Let's get weird.

This week our guest Annabelle comes to fight for the good side of fandoms in response to Episode 29's topic. We cover the ins and outs of what fandoms are really all about. (Hint- it is not the Hokey Pokey (except for the Hokey Pokey fandom (in which case that very much IS what they are all about)))

Episode 30 (flirty and thriving) SPOILER WARNING: This episode contains heavy spoilers for what we think The Girl On The Train is probably about. This week Beau and Rob are joined by a couple of the hosts from Of Myths and Men, a podcast about mythology and menology (except not menology because apparently that's a real word that means something else). They came to find out once and for all which God of Thunder reigns supreme, Thor or Zeus? And along they way they all learn a thing or two about horse-beings, Daniel Radcliffe, terrible things happening to lettuce, and the extended Thomas-verse.  

Episode 29! This week we've got one of our fan-favorite guests back in the super fancy recording studio- Danni Hepp! She came to talk about how fandoms are awful and full of terrible people, and honestly, we barely fight her on it. Think of this one as more of a "us vs fans" instead of the usual host v guest set up. We rip apart fans of across all of nerd culture, in the hopes that people will just be a bit nicer to each other. 

28 episodes later.... This week Rob and Beau are joined by hosts of the movie podcast LoveWatch, Justin and Ricky, for a debate about one of the most polarizing directors in Hollywood. They try to determine what it means to be an artist, they address the complex relationship between artist and audience, and most importantly, they mourn the cinematic tragedy that was The Last Airbender (Beau is still hella bitter about that one). 

We now have as many episodes as there are dresses in the film 27 Dresses (I assume). This week Beau and Rob are joined by the hosts of The Untitled Gaming Podcast to argue about the immersiveness of media, then they keep up the gaming theme with a death match between two classic characters- Spyro the Dragon, and Mario the... not dragon. 

Episode 26 sees the return of the good old host fight. Back by popular demand, we go guestless this week and let Beau and Rob do their classic Beau and Rob thing (which in this case means bicker about the finer points of a zombie apocalypse.)We fight about if it could happen, how it would happen, and how we could stop it, and Rob has to spend a concerning amount of time talking Beau down from nuclear destruction. Then in our death match of the week, we celebrate the upcoming release of M Knight Shyamalan's Avengers with a deathmatch between a couple of his creations. Kicking off the New Year with episode 25! We're back in action with our first ever double guest fight, Beau and Rob go toe to toe with hosts of the new podcast My Scientist Friend, Garrett Merz and Abby Lamb, on the portrayal of science culture in The Big Bang Theory. Episode 22 seemed like the perfect time to streamline our format. From now on we're making these episodes more focused on the guests, so we can spend more time explaining to them why they're wrong about things. But don't worry, we still wrap things up some real weird death matches. This week we're joined by Danni Hepp, who has some OPINIONS about Batman. In episode 9 it's raining cats and dogs! And by "raining" I mean "arguing about". Finally we close things out with a perfectly reasonable fight to the death between 2 of our nations most important historical figures- The Ancient One vs The Town Destroyer.We were pretty tired when we recorded this one. Episode eight hits all the right spots. In the host fight Rob presents a formal thesis in defense of Nickelback, and they invent the only natural evolution of the rick roll- the Nick-Kroll. Then special guest Casey Shuler addresses all sorts of issues with an extended analogy about carrot cake. Or maybe she was just talking about actual cake, it's hard to tell. Finally two half man, half beasts square off in this weeks hypothetical deathmatch- Centaur v Minotaur.

WHAT'S IN THE BOX?! get it? cause this is episode Seven. This episode is full of jokes of equal (or greater) quality. And almost zero disembodied heads. We tackle another hot button issue, finally getting to the bottom of pineapple pizza. Then special guest Patrick Garr joins us for a truly legendary guest fight, and finally we have the softest, kindest, and arguably most upsetting hypothetical deathmatch to date- Paddington v Pooh: Battle of the Bears. Let's get weird. 

We've now officially referenced a Sprouse in 2 out of 6 Episodes. Let's try to maintain a perfect 33.333% Sprouse rate. This week Rob leads Beau on a mental Bigfoot hunt, Micala Stone stops by the studio because she's mad about a plot point from a 1994 sitcom, roaches take on fire ants in a full scale insect war, and we push really hard to get Beau's cousin a dog.

Proved you wrong again. Seriously though, we almost didn't land this one, we were betrayed by technology, but saved in the nick of time by our guest and savior Tori "WorldWideBlonde" Smith! Topics this week include the eternal rivalry of film vs theatre, Zoos: Are They Chill?, and a star-studded death match guaranteed to make us best friends with at least one celebrity. Three is the magic number! When the Rob is the seventh house, and Jupiter aligns with Beau, then zodiac will guide the debate, and love will steer the stars. Then guest Tennessee will bring us the dawning of the age of gentrification, and two wizards will fight to the death for the honor of their fandoms. P.S. apparently we have Thomas Jefferson to thank for mac and cheese?

Episode two, we've come so far. This time around, Rob rambles about the fourth dimension, and Beau won't let him play with alternate timelines. Guest Michaela sheds some light on the Miss/Mr/Mrs/Captain America Pageant, and they wrap things up with a rumble down under. Sorry about the bad Australian voice.
