Given a $143 million investment grant from the U.S. government, SiO2 is on a mission to tackle the vaccine vial shortage. They hold over 300 patents and are known for their unique glass like barrier for application onto any plastic surface so as to increase its durability. Andrew Zuckerman studied Computer Science at Harvard, where he co-founded the Undergraduate Science of Psychedelics Club. During his time at college, he also ran a YouTube channel, which amassed over 3.8 million views across 18 self-produced videos. He previously interned at Bridgewater Associates, and is now the Executive Director of the Qualia Research Institute (QRI). Doug obtained a PhD from University of Colorado Boulder in Biochemistry, and he is now the founder of BioLoomics, a synthetic biology startup with the aim of accelerating protein drug discovery through biosensor arrays and discovery partnerships.
