Don’t make excuses! There are so many things that we can procrastinate about and we can come up with so many different excuses for why we are not doing something. But the actual reason why we procrastinate is really quite simple: We believe that taking action will cause us a certain amount of pain. We procrastinate because we all have too much to do We want to dodge things we don’t like. Set deadlines. Increase rewards. Involve others. Create a habit. What's your why behind doing it? Does it serve you? “Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today.” - Benjamin Franklin

DON’T MISTAKE MOVEMENT FOR ACHIEVEMENT (Episode 31)

The great Jim Rohn once said.. Don’t mistake movement for achievement. It’s easy to get faked out by being busy. The question is: Busy doing what? We all use the word busy. It's a busy day… I have a very busy schedule. When asked by your family, spouse, or boss how your day was or is, you say busy! What does that actually mean? When we break down the thousands of things we do each day, which of those things actually mattered? Which ones didn't? Were the tasks and things you did good for you and your business or were they time suckers or wasters. How much time did you spend doing the things that bring the most results? If you’re in sales, how long were you in front of prospects? What's the ONE Thing you can do such that by doing it everything else will be easier or unnecessary? These days, everyone is busy, but many are not productive. We are just wasting time. Go into any office and you’ll see people on the phone, shuffling papers, in meetings, talking business…everyone is busy. But busyness is not productivity. Busyness is the consumption of time through an activity. Any activity! On the other hand productivity is moving things forward toward a desired endpoint. Having a plan or goal that is measurable. Scheduling or time blocking specific time to ensure you can obtain the desired outcome is key to consuming and using your time properly and efficiently. Some say money is the most important commodity, but we can always earn more money. Time is the most important and precious commodity. Once it is spent, you cannot earn more… We have to remind ourselves daily of what we’re focused on because our attention is easily diverted. Between work, friends, activities, emails, texts, personal interests, and house work, it's so easy to be busy. Alerts, dings, timers, ads all diverting our attention. You can be busy by being productive, but you can’t be productive by being busy. Learn to know the difference between the two. It comes down to understanding the necessary from the unnecessary. Write down all the tasks you do in a day. Keep a journal, a ½ hour at a time. Do this for a week. It's definitely an eye opener to view all the tasks and habits we are doing that don't serve us! Once you highlight all the activities and habits you want to keep, start removing the ones you don’t. Make sure you are present when you are in a meeting, on a conference call, at home with family. When you're at work, be at work, when your home, be at home. Don’t let them steal from each other. All too often they tend to blend together and they end up robbing the time from each other. Learn To Ask Important Questions Up Front. How often have you spoken to someone at length or gone back and forth on a deal, only to find out if you just asked a few key questions up front, you could’ve saved all that time? Learn To Say No! There are a fixed amount of things for you to focus on that can move you towards your goals, but there are an infinite amount of things to distract you away from them. If you don’t like the way things are, change it! Be aware of each and everything you do. Once you have spent your time, there is no getting it back. Make the most out of life by designing it to serve you.

Now more than ever, we need to be aware of how we are spending our time.More and more people are working from home. Kids are being home schooled in most parts of the world. Daily tasks around the home can easily draw you away from your work. You are creating habits and you don't even know it. Fun and exciting things are around each and every corner of your home. Are you simply distracted or uninspired?Do you often give into these urges to be pulled away from your work? Let's dive in and find out why you might be finding it hard to concentrate. What you surround yourself with is where your focus will draw you. We did a recent show on this. What you focus on expands. It's the (RAS) Reticular Activating System at work. What does your home office, or even your office space at work look like? Does it inspire you to do great things? If it doesn't, get out a sheet of paper and write down what motivates and inspires you. Parked on a sofa with a laptop with kids running around you won't be very productive. Hold your time blocks hostage. Plan your day and carve out space in your home or at the office if you don’t already have a dedicated area. If you already have office space, take inventory. Look around and see if the items you have in there are serving you or distracting you. The items around you should inspire you. Once you have your work or collaboration space cleaned up to inspire you, now we have to look inward and ensure your goals and objectives are aligned with your purpose. What led you to do the job you're doing? If you find you don’t have a purpose, there’s no time like the present to consider changing your profession. Some people thrive at a 9-5 desk job. Some enjoy being out in the field, visiting and moving all day. Do some research on the company also. Make sure what they believe aligns well with your beliefs. Ask yourself, if finances or other circumstances were no issue, what would I want to do? Whether it's travelling the world, further study, a different job, consider your options for making it happen. Asking yourself who you need to become helps identify the qualities and traits you will need to execute your goals and progress towards the life you envision. Maybe it's something else. You need to identify which aspects of your life that need the most attention. There are many different facets to identify. Is it mental, physical, family, spiritual, financial, health, personal life or a relationship? Having a problem in one of these areas can definitely leave us feeling distracted or uninspired. Don’t focus too much on one part and let the rest fall to the wayside. Identify which parts are being neglected and implement an action plan. Look at the different facets and ask yourself, where am I not paying enough attention? Which areas need improvement and which areas am I succeeding in? Those who focus on and maintain balance in each of the areas will be able to live a much happier life than those who put too much focus on one area and ignore others. Becoming aware of this will allow you to take action. In order to turn inaction into action you need goals! Set goals in each of the categories, even if you think you are doing well. Make sure they are very specific, well defined and measurable. By identifying what it is you need and turning it into a specific, measurable goal, you now have something you can work towards. Next you need to set a timeline. Realistic to the specific goal you just set. Just like I said in the beginning, motivation is like showing, it must be done daily. Now you have everything you need.

When times get tough, people tend to freeze. Paralyzed by fear or uncertainty. They don't have plans in place for such an event or they haven't planned that far ahead. Fear takes over... I like to think of fear as an acronym for “False Evidence Appearing Real.” Don't get me wrong, fear can be very real, but don't let it stop you from moving forward. As business professionals, team leaders, sales people, let’s figure out how we can help our clients and customers. Lets pivot, and shift. What can we do right now to make the most of our time? I'm sure you’ve all heard the famous expression: When the going gets tough, the tough get going – meaning when the situation becomes difficult, the strong will work harder to meet the challenge. We as leaders and knowledge brokers in our industry are called upon to adapt quickly. This can be very disruptive and difficult to some. If we don't act now we will feel this 3-6 months from now. We are asked to make decisions on limited or incomplete information. We can however look at market trends or past events. We can find the similarities and put proven methods and models to work. We are forced to combat the negative stories and emotions that surround tough times. Whether it be a public health crisis, a recession, or just the holiday season. While these emotions and stories can be true and be very real, we need to keep our mindset intact. If we focus on the plan, not the problem you will be just fine. Check out podcast number 28 for more information and tips on how to do just that. Dig your heels in and roll up those sleeves! What type of business do you run? Look for creative ways to continue to move forward. Outwork everyone around you. Make a 30 day business plan and review every week to ensure that plan is working. Just because we made a business plan earlier in the year does not mean we have to stick to it. Call the people who you have done business with, or are currently working with you. Find out if they need anything from you. What value can you provide? Just making those “care calls” means enough to your sphere of influence and family. You may come to find out that the value you can provide may be different. Choose to focus your time and energy on doubling down on activities that bring you revenue. Focus on your family, friends, sphere of influence, clients and past clients. You could invest some of your time on reading, online training, and watching youtube videos. You could listen to podcasts or call mentors or colleagues to find out what strategies have helped them improve over the years. Use the time at hand to come out ahead, smarter, and on your way to winning. Whatever you do, develop a mindset to improve your mind, body, and spirit so you and your team can emerge stronger when the crisis abates. Creating the right environment is crucial to you and all those that depend on you. If you want to survive and do great things, you have to be willing to put the time in and work for it. The great Napoleon Hill once said, “Every adversity, every failure and every heartache carries with it the seed of an equivalent or a greater benefit.” Franklin D. Roosevelt said: “We have nothing to fear, but fear itself.” Fear just a construct of our mind. A tiny box we built for ourselves and then jumped inside of. You need to step out of your comfort zone in order to grow and become stronger. During times of change we need to change as well. Life begins at the end of your comfort zone. Some of the most beautiful things have grown in darkness.

When you face problems or struggles in life what's the first thoughts that pop in your head? All too often, when facing a problem, the first thing we tend to do is focus on the negative situation. We need to rewire our brains. When faced with adversity, we must be resilient. Many people let their minds wander toward the negative, which then prompts them to focus on more problems instead of searching for ways to resolve the situation and grow from it. Have you ever had something bad happen and things just start spiraling out of control? Maybe one bad thing after another happens… We have to remember that what we focus on expands. If we focus on problems, we will get more problems. If we focus on solutions, we will get more solutions. Do not just react, take the time to fully analyze the problem then make a list of possible solutions. Start focusing on ways to resolve the problem. Focus on solutions. Create an actionable plan. Instead of saying why me, say try me! If the problem or obstacle warrants some reflection or time, perhaps give it just that. We practice a 5 second or even 5 minute funeral. (This means that you can give that thought some time! Yell out loud, scream, or cry.) Once that time is up however you need to let it go and change your way of thinking. Identify the problem(s) at hand. Try to isolate the origin of where this obstacle started. Once you can find this, then you can start to formulate an action plan. If you jump in to soon, you can be doing something that may make things worse Brainstorm possible solutions. Then make a list of those possible solutions and their outcomes. Ensure that if people are involved that you include them if possible. Remember that failure is the stepping stone to success. Without it we wouldn't be able to grow. Now it's time to implement the new Habit, idea, or plan. What does this look like? Who is going to hold you accountable? What will this help you achieve? What does this mean to you? This can be a very liberating and exciting experience. Do the thing, have the power Regardless of how bad your problem may be, the solution is there if you think long and hard enough. We live in a world where instant is normal. We don't need to react that way however. Give your thoughts time to develop. Turn failure into a gift and grow. Having persistence when faced with a setback is imperative. Failure is never the end, it is just a new beginning. If you do what’s easy, your life will be hard. If you do what’s hard, your life will be easy.

START YOUR DAY WITH GRATITUDE - WHAT YOU FOCUS ON EXPANDS (Episode 27)

When the day is started in a mindset of gratitude, happiness comes easily as you are reminded of all the blessings in your life. Your thousand year old brain is wired to find the negative and protect you from bad situations, it's up to you to rewire it! Activate the RAS otherwise known as the reticular activating system and create a habit of being grateful. What you focus on expands!! Have you ever purchased a new car? Phone? Purse? In the days and weeks leading up to that purchase, reflect back, what do you remember seeing everywhere you went? Maybe it was a blue car? You started noticing all the blue cars didn't you? Maybe it was a certain make and model? I bet you noticed all of those on the road as well. It's no coincidence, thats your RAS at work. The average person makes on average 35,000 decisions per day!! Without your RAS you would be overwhelmed with all of those decisions every second of the day. It essentially helps you focus on the important ones as long as that's the information you are feeding your brain... People who regularly practice gratitude by taking time to notice and reflect upon the things they're thankful for experience more positive emotions, feel more alive, sleep better, express more compassion and kindness, and even have stronger immune systems. Starting off the day with gratitude can change your entire perspective on decisions you make, reactions you have and just your overall happiness. Adopting a morning gratitude practice can make a huge difference in your overall mood and outlook on life. I practice this every morning with my children. We keep a daily journal where we all write down first thing in the morning, 3 things we are grateful for. It’s easiest to build and maintain a grateful mindset when you physically write down the things you’re grateful for. Keeping a journal also lets you look back over your past entries, which can be helpful for your personal development. You might not be sure what to write at first, and that’s fine. Write the first thing that comes to mind. There are no rules for practicing gratefulness. It takes a while to cultivate the mentality of being grateful. If you’ve been stuck in a negative mindset for a while, it will take weeks – if not months – to unlearn that mindset. Commit to writing in your journal frequently, and try not to miss any days if you can help it. Consider forming a new habit, first thing in the morning, grab your journal and write down 3-5 things that you are grateful for. You can start a 66 day challenge to help you form the habit. Keep the calendar log sheet near the journal to mark off the consecutive day you complete the new habit. Starting and maintaining a gratitude practice is simple, although not always easy. I agree with you Jeff create and form a healthy habit, since habits make up who we are. We recently did a show on just that if you would like to look back through our previous episodes. It’s been said in many different ways – whatever you focus on expands. What I say is “Whatever you focus on is what you get; negative or positive, so focus on the positive and you’ll bring more positive into your life.” I believe with FOCUS we can achieve almost anything. Think back to a time you were really, really focused… Look what you accomplished. Things just seemed to fall into place! Start a new habit, create a gratitude journal, write down your affirmations! We know what we feed our brains is what we believe. We attract that which we give our energy to. You manifest what you desire. What you focus on expands. What are you going to choose to focus on today?

Everything happens for a reason right? Certainly does!! Look at truly successful people. Most of them have overcome some sort of hardship, the kind of hardship that would make most people give up. Why is that? The responsibility to succeed rests solely on you. You can either rise and shine or fall. You and only you are responsible for creating the outcome from life's disappointments. You write the words to your story. Does your life happen to you or because of you? It's because of you and your prior actions We don't own events or their reasons. We own what we do with them and how we respond to them Most of you are so afraid of failure that you spend most of your lives avoiding or running from it. We should be welcoming and embracing it! You will never learn from success. You will never improve when handed everything We grow in times of hardship and in learning from failure and turning it into growth. Where on the path are you? Where did your journey begin? What decisions were made to land you where you are now? What shortcuts did you take? Did you miss something perhaps? Overlook a crucial part of the process? Have you looked back and studied your past decisions and how you reacted during tough times and growth or good times? If you are on top, how did you pave the road to success? What obstacles did you have to overcome? What did it look like during that long journey? Ultimately, you need to understand that not everything is in your control, nor should it be. You simply can’t control everything that happens to you in life. But you can control how you respond. There’s an old quote that says life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. The definition of Luck is where preparation and opportunity meet. You create your own luck. Don't forget to look for the opportunities. It’s all about progress and not perfection. Imagine being able to improve any area of your life by just one percent every day. That one percent compounds on itself over time. This is where you start to take action on writing a new chapter of your own book. Lots of successful people have big goals. These goals can seem overwhelming and you can take small actionable steps each day to reach that goal. I have a few quotes for you I pulled from online: "Eventually all things fall into place. Until then, laugh at the confusion, live for the moments, and know EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON." -- Albert Schweitzer Miracles happen every day, change your perception of what a miracle is and you'll see them all around you. -Jon Bon Jovi Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen. -Michael Jordan Famous philosopher Aristotle explains it perfectly. In his lifelong journey to know the true meaning of life, he has managed to impart one of the most valuable pieces of wisdom. For him, there are two constants in life. One, that the universe is constantly changing. It is always evolving. What it is today is never the same tomorrow. And second, a thing he calls “entelechy.” (ənˈteləkē) It means, “that which turns potential into reality.” Aristotle believed that things happen today because they have a purpose later on. Every choice we make, every outcome that happens from these choices, every person who comes into our lives, and every person who leaves — all of these elements have a reason. They make us who we are today. Moving forward, take a step back and think about the message of the situation at hand. Good things may lay ahead for you. It all depends on your outlook, perception and in the end your reaction to what is happening in the moment. Carpe Diem - Seize the day

Your life is hectic, right? You may say you're really “busy” But are you really? You may find yourself bouncing between meetings, conferences and endless hours checking your inbox… Is this really time spent being productive? Aimlessly letting others control your day, being reactive instead of proactive. Have you placed your big rocks in the stream? Time spent with family, loved ones, vacations? Have you scheduled time off? Time to work on your business rather than in? If you don't plan the most important things first then they won't get scheduled. We set up our calendar for success. Let's break down the process to ensure you can also! Start with your overall goal, business plan, or plan of action for what you are trying to accomplish. Make sure the goal is obtainable, yet just outside your comfort zone. Something that will make you strive towards it. Then break down that goal into smaller goals. We utilize what's called a 4-1-1 action goal worksheet. This breaks down your annual goals, monthly goals and weekly goals. What's the one thing you can do such that by doing it everything else will be easier or unnecessary? Once you have broken down your goals to this level things become very clear. You have a better picture of what actually needs to be done versus the things that steal our attention. Each month review your calendar, placing those big rocks you now discovered. Some examples are date night, kids practices or games. Dinner with the family. Dinner dates with friends. Script practice, accountability or coaching meetings. Lead generation. I think you get the picture. It's the 80/20 rule 20% of your activities will account for 80% of your results. Lets get even more precise! Let's review every Sunday prior to the week and do the same thing. What can be removed? What did we forget to add that we can plug in now? By doing this you are also setting yourself up for a great week because you took the time to seek clarity of what your goals and objectives were for the week and days ahead. You were intentional about it. You focused on what you wanted to extract from your week and your business. Pair with this amazing scheduling technique to-do list that you review nightly and re re write and you are even more clear on what needs to be done vs what has to get done. We rewrite our to-do lists nightly to clean up the stuff that we jot down during the day, and also prioritize what needs to happen in order of importance. You can then time block things in the calendar if needed while reviewing. Ensure to limit the time. The calendar tends to default to 1 hour however we may only need 15 min. The key to getting things done is to use your calendar, and then do what it says in your calendar. Most of us are self employed, meaning we don't have to punch a clock. For some this can be amazing and we work well this way and for others it can be catastrophic. When you schedule items be sure to allocate the proper amount of time for every aspect of the task. Otherwise it won’t get done. Though this won’t guarantee that the item will get done, it will significantly raise the likelihood of it being completed. STEP OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE - DON’T LISTEN TO YOUR DRUNK MONKEY (Episode 24)

Play Episode Listen Later Mar 16, 2020 14:29

We are often afraid of taking that first step.. But what changed? From the very day we are born we are excited to explore the world around us. The ability to take risks by stepping outside your comfort zone is the primary reason in which we grow. Comfort zones are not really comfortable at all, they are riddled with fear. Breaking down the barriers of fear will help you break free and then you can finally learn to enjoy the process of taking risks and growing. We call this failing forward! A term we use at Keller Williams is “Don’t Listen to Your Drunk Monkey” Simply put this means, identify and stop that voice in your head that tells you what you can’t accomplish instead of encouraging you to go forward even when you don’t want to. Self realization is the first step in the process. Become aware of what you feel is just outside your “Comfort zone” Identify those items. Next become clear on the objective. The reason or why behind the task at hand. Create a list of why they are important to overcome. Now it's time to get comfortable being uncomfortable! One way to get outside of your comfort zone is to literally expand it. For some people diving right in will work best, and for others taking baby steps and wading into the uncomfortableness will help you ease into overcoming your fear. I'm sure everyone has heard the phrase, “Practice makes perfect” It's completely true! Practice doing the thing that scares you to help you overcome it. This will help build your confidence. Start hanging out with other people that are doing the very thing you want to start doing. You can learn, make mental notes and their influence over time will start to have an effect on your behavior as well. Be sure to have a clear vision. Focus on the future and the “why” behind what you are doing. How will this benefit you, your career or others? Use these things to pull you into becoming the future you. Enjoy and embrace the process. Enjoy the fun of discovering new things just as you did when you were younger. It may seem overwhelming to step into the unknown. Be open to the experience. Do the thing, and have the power! Until next time.

COMMUNICATE TO GET CLARITY - THINGS AREN’T ALWAYS HOW THEY APPEAR TO BE (Episode 23)

Play Episode Listen Later Mar 6, 2020 15:11

“Clarity is power.” Anthony Robbins That is a very powerful quote. Can you create clarity through your message so others can understand... How many times have you had an experience and it wasn’t what you thought it was going to be but you had already predetermined what was going to happen? How often have you judged someone in your life only to get to know them and they were very different from who you thought they really were? We often go through life thinking we know what is going on. We have preconceived ideas about a situation and others, that can block us from truly experiencing the gift that the moment has for us. What might be clear to you might not be clear to another, and what might not be obvious to you might be obvious to another. Simplicity empowers the communicator. It frees the recipient from interpretation due to a lack of clarity. If your message isn't clear it harms good communications. Complexity can leave your audience lost leaving them no choice than to make assumptions. Simple and clear direction produces higher quality results. Clear and concise messaging is the key to convincing others to take action. It is no secret, business leaders are often frustrated by the lack of understanding when they “feel” they provide explicit direction or orders. The frustration comes from the failure to communicate, which is often caused by lack of clarity. The associated business risks and costs of failed communications can be astronomical. Bad communications can negatively impact revenues, growth, relationships and confidence. Know your audience and set your own expectations as the communicator. Humans are not skilled in being great listeners. We also have very active brains, myriads of distractions and tend to listen to respond rather than listen to reflect. Knowing who you will be speaking or presenting to is very important. Presenting information to kindergartners will be far different than presenting to business professionals. Never Assume Communication is tricky. It’s an art. The biggest mistake made in business today is assuming others will clearly know what you are asking and what you want. For critical communications, it is important to follow up with a memo or email. The results may require sharpening the messaging or providing clarifications to ensure the message is clearly understood. Remember just because things seem a certain way doesn’t mean it really is. We will continue to bring value and impact to everything we do. We hope you do the same. Until next time!

Words That Can Kill A Deal. Logic Makes You Think, Emotion Makes You Act. (Episode 22)

There are many words a lot of us use on a daily basis that, until you hear them explained you might not have thought much about them. In today's episode we are going to dive a bit deeper because top salespeople are successful because they pay attention to the details. I know all of you listening are top salespeople or successful in your area of business. We want to make sure you are credible, articulate, and professional, when it comes to having a conversation with others. Every word you say either makes them trust you or weakens your credibility. Here are 7 of the most common words and phrases NOT to use in your everyday conversation. “Trust Me” Using this gives the impression that you are brushing over something. It implies that you don’t really want to explain the answer to the person's question, or even worse, you don’t think they will understand. If you have already established trust, then why do you need to say this at all? “My Client - Seller - Buyer” Don’t personalize or add feelings when working with a client. Adding the word “my” implies ownership or a familiar person. Even though you may owe your client specific duties per contract, you still are acting as a liaison between two parties. The common good of a deal depends on you. You also should not talk or speak on behalf of your client without confirming with them first. “Acronyms or Industry Lingo” Think of all the awesome language your company and industry uses. For the outside that can look and sound pretty weird! Keep that in mind when working with or talking to someone. They have no idea what you are talking about. It may make the person feel dumb or even confuse them. That's definitely not how we want to conduct business. “To Be Honest” Like trust, if you have established that already and they are an acquaintance or client, this should not have to be addressed. This will put doubt in every conversation that you have had with them prior. Were you being honest prior to saying that? “I Think We Can Do That” Don’t say something because you are unsure of how to answer a question. Giving an incorrect answer will be far more damaging than waiting to find the correct one. A better response would be to say, “That’s a great question, let me find that answer for you!” “Contract” This word has the same effect “marriage” does during a first date. Say “agreement” or “paperwork” or “form” instead. This will make it seem less like a sales tactic or something they will be bound to for life. “Show You How” Do not overuse this phrase while talking with a client, prospect or in general. Spend more energy showing them “Why” Instead. Making that subtle change in your language can make a huge impact on how they respond to you. Moving forward be mindful of your words and phrases. We will continue to bring value and impact to everything we do. We hope you do the same. Until next time!

Always Be Testing - Implementing new ideas and strategies is crucial to an ever evolving business model Testing just might be the small business owners greatest tool – and yet, so few take the time to do it at all. Heck this could be for anyone in any area of their life! (ie fitness, business, finance, social etc) Don't get caught up in chasing the shiny new penny and waste countless hours and lots of money trying every new idea and product out there. Be sure to focus on the one thing that will bring you closer to achieving your goals. What’s the one thing you can do, such that by doing it, everything else will be easier or unnecessary? -Quote from (The One Thing by Gary Keller) Once you have that, research proven methods. It's good to model a proven method. There is no need to reinvent the wheel…..just yet (We can revisit this once we have found a method that works!) This is where the testing begins. Try one, two, or several methods until one resonates with you. Let's take working out for example. Do you lift weights? Do yoga? Maybe run or do cardio? When you are happy with your choice you know you’ve found the right fit. Next is how to hold yourself accountable to doing it. We just did an entire show on this. We suggest a 66 day challenge which can be found attached to the show notes. Gary Keller and Jay Papasan Created the 66 day challenge. You can download it here→ https://www.the1thing.com/blog/produc... Your action now needs to be implemented. Are you going to download a regiment? Download and app to tell you what to do or follow along with. Will you get a gym membership? How about a personal trainer? We advise starting small. Creating a plan or vision. Being clear on the intent and your one thing. Use free or cheaper solutions to start and track progress. Make sure whatever it is your testing, that you give it enough time to ensure that it will either work for you. If after 30 -60 days it's not providing the desired outcome it may be time to scrap that idea and move onto the next one. Don't get discouraged along the way. It takes time to build upon a new idea or habit. There are many roads out there that all ultimately lead to the same destination. You just have to find yours. Once you find the one that works, dive in. Explore the different facets and ways to go about doing your new found idea. Track how it impacts your business or personal life. Become knowledgeable in all areas that pertain to it. Once you have mastered the new idea or strategy you can either move onto the next and focus all your time on the new (one thing) or you can take the one you mastered and expand on it, possibly re inventing the wheel and making something totally new or improved. The sky is not the limit, it's just the beginning. Until next time, be amazing.

Motivation is powerful, yet tricky. Sometimes it is really easy to get motivated, and you find yourself wrapped up in a whirlwind of excitement. Other times, it is nearly impossible to figure out how to motivate yourself and you're trapped in a spiral of procrastination. If you want to make it easy to find motivation and get started, then it helps to automate the early stages of your behavior. Like I always say, If it's not in your calendar it doesn't exist! If you don’t have a scheduled time to do a certain task every week, then you’ll find yourself saying things like, “I just need to find the willpower to do it.” or “I don’t have the time” Just remember the 3 R’s of creating a habit. Reminder (calendar task) Routine ( the habit itself) Reward ( If positive you have a desire to continue) Ready to change or create a habit for greater success? Habit formation isn’t a quick or easy process, but once the habit is formed it takes little effort to maintain. Studies have shown it takes approximately 66 days to alter or establish habits. Put it to work with your very own challenge Gary Keller and Jay Papasan Created the 66 day challenge. You can download it here→ https://www.the1thing.com/blog/produc... Start with just “one thing” Don’t try to take on 3 or 4 66 day challenges. Remember Discomfort is temporary You will never regret good work once its done. Life is a constant balance between giving into the ease of distraction or overcoming the pain of discipline. MOTIVATION KEEPS YOU IN THE GAME, BUT HABITS KEEP YOU THERE

It's not what you sell, it's what you stand for or believe in. Be clear on your purpose and identity. What makes your organization different, what difference are you trying to make?
