In 1975 a dream was born down in south Texas. A dream to promote the sport, science and heritage of what we know as hunting. On that special day the Voice of Texas Hunting was conceived and for over 45 years Texas Trophy Hunters Association (TTHA) has protected and preserved Texas’ wildlife resources for our future generations. A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to be in camp with found of Texas Trophy Hunters, Jerry Johnson. This week on the Tour 12 Podcast, Heath and Cody had the opportunity to open for a live music act at a local Sports Bar and Grill with a live podcast.  Matt & Grace from The GGolden Road walked into Russellville this week and it gave our hometown the opportunity to welcome them.  After spending a little time with them, hearing about their passion, and talking about their future, we knew we needed to talk about it on a podcast! Matt & Grace are walking across America, from California to South Carolina raising money for Time in a Bottle a non profit organization raising funds to provide families battling cancer, undergoing chemo therapy, or any other terminal illness with 5 free cleaning at their home. The Tour Continues in Texas with Special Guest Tom Taylor, VP of Sig Sauer.  Heath and several of the guys from Xpedition Enterprises were in camp with Tom, Texas Trophy Hunters, and a few other leaders in the outdoor industry. Tom leads marketing and commercial sales for one of the global leaders and foremost brands in the firearms industry. SIG continues to grow as a complete weapons systems provider of consumer firearms, ammunition, silencers, optics, and airguns.  If you are a firearms person, you'll really enjoy this episode of the Tour 12 Podcast!

While there, they had the opportunity to hang out with country music singer/songwriter Adam Sanders.  Adam has written songs for Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley and Tyler Farr, among others. He has topped the charts with such No. 1 singles as Cole Swindell’s “Ain’t Worth the Whiskey” and Dustin Lynch’s “Hell of a Night.”  

On this episode of the Tour 12 Podcast Heath and Cody sat down with singer/songwriter Kenny Drain. He has written for Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Tracy Lawrence, Coca-Cola, and many other notable businesses and artists. This week on the Tour12 podcast, Heath, Brandon, and Cody sat down with a long time friend Brandon Motley. In this shocking episode of the tour 12 podcast, Heath and Cody talked a bit about life on the farm or as Heath would say, homesteading.  And we dug in and had a conversation about the difference between response and reaction and the importance of being prepared.

In this episode of the podcast, Cody called in Heath who was headed home from several meetings in Iowa.  They discussed the Fake Live Tour Band's debut during those meetings and they took the opportunity to dive into some of the things Heath has learned over the years from being in meetings with top executives.  While there are a lot of things that can be learned, knowing when to speak and when to listen will help you be more successful when put in big meetings.

So many people feel like they have to wait until they have a certain set of tools to be creative or do something different to move their lives, career, or organization forward.  In this episode, Heath and Cody talked about the importance of just using what you have access to and not letting what you don't have keep you from being creative.  Learning the skill of Using what you have will bring opportunity to your life.

It's sweet November and our crew is spread all over from Ohio to Oklahoma to Arkansas.  This week we throwback to one of our most downloaded episodes with Aaron Keller and Josh Kinser of Big&J and Swagger Bipods.  In that episode, we go down the entertaining and somewhat blunt conversation road of being an innovator in the outdoor industry.  It is aa lengthy discussion that includes more than a few rabbit trails. However, with all that being said Big & J and Swagger Bipods are both innovative companies at their core and have had major success in the outdoor industry with both brands.  It's a conversation we can all learn from and we believe it has what we consider to be; entertaining value at its finest.  

Heath, Cody, Brandon and Aaron Keller spent the morning checking food plots and stopped to talk about how exciting November is for deer hunting.  They also called Andy Stanphill of Hardwoods South to get the story on his 200" Kansas buck!

Heath and Cody recapped the conversation with John Sewell and discussed if it was realistic to believe you can live your passion.
