Welcome to Multiverse News, your source for information about all your favorite fictional universes.Marvel dropped the first full trailer for X-Men '97 Season 2 this week, confirming a July 1 premiere on Disney+ and Apocalypse as the season's central threat. The nine-episode season picks up from the Season 1 finale with the X-Men scattered across time from ancient Egypt to the far future, while those left behind in the '90s work to bring them back, with the trailer also sneaking in a Morph-as-Deadpool shapeshifting moment for good measure. A third season is already in production. On the Doomsday front, Joe and Anthony Russo posted a series of cryptic images to Instagram with various hints and teases towards an Avengers: Doomsday reveal connected to this week's SXSW Film Festival in London; as of Tuesday morning, the hype seems to have all been for a Doctor Doom themed coffee shop pop-up for attendees of the festival. James Gunn took to Instagram this week with a fit check from the set of Superman: Man of Tomorrow, revealing a first look at Nicholas Hoult in Lex Luthor's iconic mech-suit, which in the comics gives Luthor superhuman strength, flight, and force fields. The image also appears to show a sandy, otherworldly backdrop, leaving plenty to speculate about heading into the film's 2027 release. A24's Backrooms had one of the biggest opening weekends of the year, pulling in 81 million dollars domestically and 118 million worldwide in its debut, the largest opening in A24 history and more than triple what Civil War earned in 2024. The film was adapted from the viral YouTube web series by its creator Kane Parsons, who at 20 years old is now the youngest filmmaker ever to open a number one film, and was produced for roughly 10 million dollars. Meanwhile The Mandalorian and Grogu fell to third place after its second week in theaters with a 69% drop.Prime Video has renewed The Rings of Power for a fourth season ahead of its Season 3 debut later this year, with early preproduction beginning this fall and filming targeted for early 2027.A24 has released the first trailer for Primetime, starring Robert Pattinson as Chris Hansen of Dateline NBC's To Catch a Predator fame, from acclaimed documentarian Lance Oppenheim, with the film set to premiere this fall.ElevenLabs has struck a deal with the estate of Stan Lee, licensing the Marvel legend's voice and likeness for AI-generated content available both to app users and commercial partners. The Minecraft Movie sequel now has a title: A Minecraft Movie Squared, due in theaters next July.HBO has dropped the full trailer for House of the Dragon Season 3, offering the first look at the season's major battle sequences, with the show returning June 21st.Anna Kendrick has been tapped to direct Netflix's adaptation of Taylor Jenkins Reid's novel The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo.During Playstation's annual State of Play showcase, God of War: Laufey was announced to be the next entry in the franchise and an extended gameplay trailer for Insomaniac's Wolverine was released online.

X-MEN '97 SEASON 2 & DC GREEN LANTERNS OFFICIAL TRAILER REACTION & BREAKDOWN!! Check out the DC Studios: Showcase Podcast HERE https://app.magellan.ai/listen_links/... Greg & Coy dive into two of the most exciting trailer drops in the comic book world: Marvel Animation's X-Men '97 Season 2 and HBO/DC Studios' upcoming Green Lantern series, Lanterns. From nostalgic mutant mayhem to cosmic detective drama, we break down all the biggest moments, reveals, and what they could mean moving forward. First up, the X-Men '97 Season 2 trailer teases the next chapter following the shocking events of Season 1. Fan-favorite mutants return, including Cyclops, Jean Grey, Rogue, Storm, Beast, Gambit, and Wolverine—with voice talent like Ray Chase (Final Fantasy XV, Demon Slayer) as Cyclops and Jennifer Hale (Mass Effect, The Last of Us) as Jean Grey continuing to lead the charge. The footage hints at deeper fallout within the team, escalating threats, and the possible rise of iconic villains like Mr. Sinister and Apocalypse, all while maintaining the bold, retro animation style that made the revival a hit. We also break down the first look at Lanterns, the highly anticipated DC series centered on the Green Lantern Corps. The show stars Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights, Bloodline) as veteran Lantern Hal Jordan and Aaron Pierre (Rebel Ridge, Krypton) as John Stewart, pairing two iconic ring-bearers in what's being described as a grounded, True Detective-style mystery on Earth. The trailer hints at a darker tone, intergalactic stakes, and possible connections to the broader DC Universe, with teases of the Guardians of the Universe and the emotional spectrum mythology. Other confirmed Characters for X-Men '97 S2 include: Scott Summers / Cyclops, Jean Grey, Ororo Munroe / Storm, Logan / Wolverine, Morph, Rogue, Dr. Henry “Hank” McCoy / Beast, Erik “Magnus” Lehnsherr / Magneto, Professor Charles Xavier, Apocalypse / En Sabah Nur, Kurt Wagner / Nightcrawler, X-Force, & more... "You are a fool, Sinister! The most powerful mutants on Earth shall hunt you down to see Charles Xavier avenged!" And with this 2-part season finale, another 13 episodes of X-Men: The Animated Series are in the books! On paper, it's a pretty straightforward, conventional affair, serving as a wrap-up to Professor Xavier and Magneto's exile in the Savage Land and a bookend to the season opener starring Mr. Sinister as the show's new major villain. There's a bit of questionable storytelling as well, on the basis of some circular login at its core. Sinister lured Magneto and Xavier to the Savage Land, and in turn used the latter to bait the X-Men into his clutches as well. Which would be fine enough (albeit convoluted), if not for the fact that he already successfully captured Cyclops and Jean Grey in the season premiere and dismissed the other X-Men as beneath his care or attention. And while his motives could have evolved, the plan was already in motion to send the Professor and Magneto off to the Savage Land from the first episode of the season. Nevertheless, this finale patches over what should be a gaping plot hole through its sheer energy and commitment. What it does do well, it does very, VERY well. As a testament to the show's effectiveness in endearing its cast to the audience, several characters get big moments throughout. From Cyclops making good on his earlier threat to Sinister, to Wolverine's "Die Hard" meets "Jurassic Park" solo run through the Savage Land, to Morph's redemption after a return from (near) death, it's an impressive undertaking that all of this lands in an already stacked pair of episodes. Perhaps most memorable is Gambit and Rogue's declaration of love under less than ideal circumstances. Their first kiss manages to be powerful and convincing thanks to two seasons worth of a slow burn love story growing from mild flirtation to genuine affection, with our understanding of both characters informed by revelations about their tumultuous backstories. The climax also delivers one of the show's most fist-pumping "beat the bad guys to the beat of the theme song" action sequences, a feature that had admittedly been lacking throughout the season. Following this, there are few scenes more cathartic than seeing Sinister literally blown apart and scattered to the four winds. Even if it all doesn't quite hang together story-wise, that's pretty consistent with the comics of the era from which the season draws so much of its inspiration. At the end of the day, this finale is here to have a good time while juggling a bevy of captivating characters in a colorful setting. Although the season as a whole is less ambitious structurally than its predecessor, with its only dedicated two-parters in the beginning, middle, and end, you'd never know it thanks to the Savage Land adventure being dispersed in the form of brief vignettes to create a sense of cohesion and serialization across the standalone episodes. It's a stroke of brilliance that avoids the production and scheduling problems of the first season, allowing the true ambition to shine in the depth of character writing. The Saturday morning sensation has now done seemingly the impossible: topping itself in terms of sophistication and quality, while becoming a well-oiled machine in the process. Where could it possibly go next??

META-MORPH / 13 YEARS OF DOOMCORE RECORDS ON TOXIC SICKNESS / 2012 - 2020 / MARCH / 2026 by TOXIC SICKNESS OFFICIAL
A veteran of the global crypto industry, Colin Goltra has been an early adopter and advocate for digital assets throughout his career.Colin Goltra is the Chief Executive Officer of Morph, a blockchain platform building universal infrastructure for borderless payments and financial services. He recently joined the Bitcoin.com News Podcast to talk about the market. In this episode Colin identifies the previous year as the critical "stablecoin moment," driven by a perfect storm of regulatory clarity (like the Genius Act and MiCA) and technological advancements on smart-contracting ecosystems that have finally solved the performance and scalability issues that plagued earlier attempts with Bitcoin. Morph's mission has pivoted to stablecoin-based global payment settlement, adopting a "ruthlessly pragmatic" strategy to prepare for a market that could be dominated by either one or two fiat-backed stablecoins (USD-linked like USDC and USDT) or by a rise in relevant regional stablecoins. He highlights the profound impact of stablecoins in emerging economies, where access to the dollar provides a crucial hedge against high local fiat inflation, citing the Philippine Peso as a prime example. Looking at the current landscape, Colin pinpoints four key active verticals in crypto: institutional stablecoin-based payments, the significant growth of Real-World Assets (RWAs), prediction markets for valuable information, and the emerging space of Agentic AI, which will require crypto layers for payment and transacting. The long-term vision for crypto, according to Colin, anticipates a transition from a purely "cryptonative" era to a more institutional and pragmatic phase over the next decade. He predicts that for the average person, the underlying blockchain infrastructure will "melt away at the UX level," becoming an invisible rail for better, faster payment solutions. A major challenge remains a knowledge gap for small and mid-sized businesses. To address this, Morph is funding a $150 million payment accelerator to incentivize traditional payment businesses to migrate their transaction volume onto the Morph chain.

Not being full time on music makes it hard to stay on top of things. Respect to my friend Pasha for driving me forward with his interest in DJ'ing at the start of his journey. However, thankfully good music is timeless..... This is a really different set on many levels. It based on tunes I have heard and loved from festival sets around the world over the last 2 years. This set spans various house genres (afro, indie, tribal, melodic techno, soulful, etc.) but isn't delivered in a typical build up journey. It almost peaks in the middle from an up-tempo perspective. The programming of the flow fell in place first shot which has never happened before. Was not easy getting some of these tunes despite their age, had to search hard Bandcamp, SoundCloud, etc. I have only used hires files (AIFF) for 10 years but there are 2 here that I could only get on MP3. Unorthodox yes but this is a set of JAMS I absolutely love. I could imagine playing this during the day at a festival (Big Chill in my mind). As ever please like, comment and share. It is an inspiration to get your messages, it means everything. Anyway time to listen, please turn it up and enjoy!Tracklist:1 Superman Damien Lazarus edit 2 On My Knees (Adriatique Remix) Adriatique / RÜFÜS DU SOL 3 Break My Love (Samm Remix) Samm / RÜFÜS DU SOL 4 No End Da Africa Deep & NuroGroove 5 You Can Dance Now (Original Mix) Liva K 6 Push The Feeling On. A message from "The Gospel of Matthew" a sermon series from Pastor Jimmy Holbrook.
The '90s are back in style in X-Men '97. Marvel Animation's revival of X-Men: The Animated Series revisits the iconic era of the 1990s and the team of mutants — Cyclops, Jean Grey, Wolverine, Storm, Jubilee, Beast, Bishop, Rogue, Gambit, Morph, Nightcrawler, and Magneto — who use their uncanny gifts to protect a world that hates and fears them. The all-new episodes pick up where the beloved Saturday morning cartoon left off in 1997: with the X-Men facing a dangerous and unexpected new future without their leader, Professor Charles Xavier. Okay ........... batter late then NEVER right ?? having premiered March 20 on Disney+ back in 2024, it certainly was the original intent to cover X-Men 97 on a dual podcast titled 'Previously on X-Cast Days of Future Animated X-Men', with later episodes (of course), going BACK IN TIME you might say LOL LOL LOL hahahahahhahahaha, where your hosts David Senden and our boi Mark Hurliman would be covering the four season of the X-Men: the Animated series, THAT was the original plan ................ but *sigh* often times the PODCASTING GODS lol lol lol mess with those plans For reasons 'outside' of podcasting of course Mark Hurliman had to step back, he'll RETURN again at some point, WHO KNOWS ............. maybe for SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY in 2026, HECK maybe even AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY perhaps but hey we will get there, and we'll see what happens. But hey here at Marvel-Cast: Earth's Mightiest Podcast; the SHOW GOES ON !!!!!!!!!!!!! On the premier episode of Previously on X-Cast Days of Future Animated X-Men, your hosts David Senden and (fill in co-host) Kyle Wagner review the first five episodes of X-Men 97 S1.E1 ∙ To Me, My X-Men S1.E2 ∙ Mutant Liberation Begins S1.E3 ∙ Fire Made Flesh S1.E4 ∙ Motendo/Lifedeath - Part 1 S1.E5 ∙ Remember It In 2026 David Senden and Kyle Wagner will reunite through those MULTIVERSAL podcasting tunnels LOL LOL LOL hahahahahahaha to bring YOU a review of the FINAL 4 S1.E6 ∙ Lifedeath - Part 2 S1.E7 ∙ Bright EyeS1.E8 ∙ Tolerance Is Extinction - Part 1 S1.E9 ∙ Tolerance Is Extinction - Part 2 S1.E10 ∙ Tolerance Is Extinction - Part 3 Your premier episode of Previously on X-Cast Days of Future Animated X-Men starts RIGHT NOW
In this episode, I break down the spiciest debates in the reptile-keeping world — the topics that always light up comment sections and split the hobby right down the middle. We dig into:Rack & tub keeping — outdated or perfectly functional?“Old school” husbandry advice — why some keepers are still spreading bad info.Morph breeding — ethical concerns, genetic bottlenecks, and what the future looks like.Venomous and giant species — who should be keeping them (if anyone)?…and several more hot-button issues that the reptile community can't stop arguing about.Whether you're a keeper, breeder, or brand-new hobbyist, this video will challenge the norms and get you thinking about where our community is headed.

Voice actor JP Karliak (Morph in X-Men '97, Gargamel and Razamel in Smurfs) joins us for a fascinating discussion about how nerdy media shapes our understanding of identity, community, and civic participation. As founder of Queer Vox, a nonprofit supporting LGBTQIA+ voice actors, and co-founder of NerdsVote, which works to get nerds involved in democracy, JP brings a unique perspective on how superhero stories and geek culture can serve as gateways to uncomfortable but necessary conversations about representation and social change.Key Discussion Points:How voice actors can use their "notable nerd" status to mobilize fan communities toward civic engagementWhy nerddom inherently connects to empathy and understanding otherness, particularly through franchises like X-MenWhat authentic casting means for LGBTQIA+ characters beyond performative diversityWhy seeking only comfort in entertainment prevents engagement with different perspectivesThe essential role of discomfort in growth and understandingJP brings depth and nuance to these topics through his experience voicing Morph, a non-binary shapeshifter in X-Men '97, while sharing insights about the voice acting industry and the importance of authentic representation both in front of and behind the microphone. The conversation weaves through representation, activism, and the power of storytelling to create change, ultimately highlighting how superhero narratives can serve as modern mythology that helps us process and progress through today's most challenging social issues.Guest Bio:JP Karliak is a veteran voice actor whose characters span animation, gaming, and anime. Notable roles include Morph in X-Men '97, Gargamel and Razamel in Smurfs (2025), Boss Baby in Netflix series, and the Joker in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. In anime, he's known for voicing Kozo Fuyutsuki in Netflix's Neon Genesis Evangelion dub. His gaming credits include N. Tropy in Crash Bandicoot titles and Wolfgang in the Skylanders series. As founder of Queer Vox and co-founder of NerdsVote, JP actively works to create positive change in both the voiceover industry and civic engagement.Connect with JP:WebsiteInstagramQueer VoxNerdsVote**************************************************************************This episode is a production of Superhero Ethics, a The Ethical Panda Podcast and part of the TruStory FM Entertainment Podcast Network. I have two guests on this week's Sewers of Paris, both of them connected to a secret society of mutants. JP Karliak is the voice of Morph on X-Men ‘97, among many other roles; and Anthony Oliveira is a writer of many Marvel comics, among many other books. I spoke to them both about why the X-Men hold particular importance for them — part of my research for a new video about the 2000 X-Men films. That video goes live this Sunday, August 31, 2025, and it'll feature excerpts from my conversations with Anthony and JP. But I wanted to make my full conversations with them available for you to listen to here.
