SPOILER WARNING Aegon has gone from the Iron Throne to the latrine. This week on Thumb War, we're breaking down House of the Dragon Season 3 Episode 4, where Ormond Hightower takes over Tumbleton from a bathtub, sniffs his perfume ball, flashes the room, and apparently starts setting up a holy war against the Targaryens. Meanwhile, Aegon and Larys stumble upon Sunfire — who may or may not be dead — before Aegon gets assigned the worst job in Westeros: scraping shit out of latrines with a guy named Tangled Tongue. We also get into Rhaenyra's very tiny council, Allyn's “what about cats?” promotion, Ulf trying to cash in favors for his drinking buddies, Daemon finding Rhaena and Sheepstealer, Hugh's family being trapped in Tumbleton, and why Aegon might somehow be the most qualified ruler left. After setting an incredible pace in the first two episodes of Season 3 of House of the Dragon, episode 3 is much slower-paced, much more deliberate, and equally as compelling as the other episodes. Rhaenyra has finally assumed control of the Iron Throne. But with great power comes great responsibility, and Rhaenyra finds this out the hard way in this episode. The new Queen faces issues on all sides as she discovers the kingdom is broke, the Faith will not acknowledge her, the small folk are on the verge of starvation, and Daemon is imploring her to take the world by force and, if necessary, dragon fire. Even in victory, there is a price to be paid, and Rhaenyra discovers that truth in yet another excellent episode of House of the Dragon!Chairshot Radio NetworkLaunched in 2017, the Chairshot Radio Network presents you with the best in sports, entertainment, and sports entertainment. George Washington Rises, Westeros Crawls, and Jubilee Steals the Damn Show This week on the podcast, Brian and Darryl talk Young Washington, a good but slower week for House of the Dragon, and the absolute mutant madness of X-Men '97 Season 2. Spoiler alert: Jubilee is bad ass, and the boys are very much here for it. Episode Index Intro: 0:07 Supergirl/Sony Catchup: 4:50 Young Washington: 24:31 House of the Dragon (Season 2 Episode 3): 31:46 X-Men ’97 (Season 2 Episodes 1-4): 40:49 Supergirl and Sony Follow-Up Supergirl gets a quick follow-up after last week's conversation, with the focus on whether the new DCU is starting to build real momentum or still asking fans to trust the larger plan. There are pieces that could work, but the bigger question is whether those creative choices are actually landing yet. Sony's continued move away from physical media raises bigger questions for collectors, gamers, and fans who still care about owning what they buy. As entertainment keeps shifting toward digital libraries and platform control, the concern becomes whether fans are buying permanent access or just renting permission. Young Washington Release Date: July 3, 2026 Runtime: 122 minutes Director: Jon Erwin Writers: Jon Erwin, Tom Provost, and Diederik Hoogstraten Based On: The early life and military career of George Washington during the French and Indian War Studios: Wonder Project, 2521 Entertainment, 10 Ton Productions, and Red 56 Distributor: Angel Studios Summary: Young Washington follows George Washington before he became the Father of the Nation, focusing on his early military failures, his ambition, and the frontier conflict that helped shape the man he would become. The film tracks Washington as he is pulled into the French and Indian War, forced to deal with shifting alliances, dangerous mistakes, and the brutal reality of leadership before he is truly ready for it. Main Cast: William Franklyn-Miller as Young George Washington Mary-Louise Parker as Mary Washington Kelsey Grammer as Lord Fairfax Andy Serkis Ben Kingsley Production Notes: Directed and co-written by Jon Erwin, Young Washington arrives as a historical war drama built around the making of George Washington rather than the myth of George Washington. The film leans into the mistakes, pressure, and survival instincts of a young man caught in a conflict much bigger than himself. A sequel titled 1776 is already in development, continuing Washington's story into the American Revolution. Rating, Out of 10 Pawns Really Have a Way of Taking Down a King Brian: 8/10 Darryl: DWN House of the Dragon (HBO / Max) House of the Dragon, Season 3 Episode 3 Title: Rhaenyra Triumphant Air date: July 5, 2026 Based On: Fire & Blood by George R. R. Martin Created By: Ryan Condal and George R. R. Martin Summary: Rhaenyra's hold on King's Landing is already starting to look more fragile than victorious. The city is starving, the treasury is gone, and ruling from the Iron Throne is proving to be very different from claiming it. While Rhaenyra tries to stabilize her rule, Daemon pushes for harsher action, Corlys fights for the future of his family, and the supposed Daeron situation becomes another political mess inside an already broken war. The episode is good, but slower this week, spending more time on fallout, legitimacy, and court tension than dragon fire or battlefield momentum. It is very much a table-setting episode, but the pieces it moves could matter a lot as the Dance keeps getting uglier. Main Cast: Emma D'Arcy as Rhaenyra Targaryen Matt Smith as Daemon Targaryen Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower Steve Toussaint as Corlys Velaryon Rhys Ifans as Otto Hightower Ewan Mitchell as Aemond Targaryen Tom Glynn-Carney as Aegon II Targaryen Rating out of 5, Fake Targaryens Does Not a Fun Episode Make Brian: 3.4/5 Darryl: 3.25/5 X-Men '97 (Disney+) X-Men '97, Season 2 Episodes 1-4 Air date: Season 2 premiered July 1, 2026, with new episodes releasing weekly on Disney+ Episode 4 Title: Rise of Apocalypse – Part II Based On: Marvel Comics' X-Men and X-Men: The Animated Series Developed By: Beau DeMayo Summary: X-Men '97 Season 2 picks up after the chaos of Season 1 by throwing the team into an even bigger, weirder, and more comic-book-ass corner of mutant history. With the X-Men scattered across time and Apocalypse looming large over the season, the show wastes no time going huge with the stakes, the emotion, and the deep-cut Marvel madness. Through the first four episodes, this season is already firing on all cylinders. The action is big, the character work is sharp, and the show continues to understand exactly why people love the X-Men. Jubilee, in particular, comes out looking like an absolute bad ass, bringing the kind of energy that makes this feel like peak Saturday morning cartoon nostalgia smashed together with modern serialized storytelling. Main Voice Cast: Ray Chase as Cyclops Jennifer Hale as Jean Grey Cal Dodd as Wolverine Lenore Zann as Rogue George Buza as Beast Alison Sealy-Smith as Storm A. J. LoCascio as Gambit Holly Chou as Jubilee Production Notes: X-Men '97 continues the legacy of X-Men: The Animated Series while pushing the story into darker, stranger, and more ambitious territory. Season 2 is leaning hard into time displacement, Apocalypse, mutant survival, and big emotional swings, while still keeping the colorful, fast-moving, comic-book energy that made Season 1 such a monster hit. House of the Dragon proves the throne is easier to take than to keep — Chanel & Brandon recap the episode where Rhaenyra's reign starts to crack.
Poor Rae Rae. She is now on the Iron Throne, but the job is not finished. house party, check! Blessing of the Throne, check! Blessing those who helped get me here, not so good! Rae abandoned her Dragon Stone council and may have possibly lost one of her last trusted members, Corlys. Rhae knights the bastards, but does not legitimize Addam as a Velyarian and this will have ongoing issues. We discuss taking out Daeron without true confirmation. THE DANCE OF THE DRAGONS TAKES ANOTHER HUGE TURN!
Send us Fan MailFor this episode of Brewstilled, I'm recapping episode 2 from HBO's House of Dragon season 3. For episode 2, the action picks up from the ending of episode 1 as we saw the aftermath of the naval battle and we got a glimpse of where season 3 will proceed. We saw Rhaenyra continue her quest for the Iron Throne while also embarking on a new quest for revenge while Alicent tries to adapt to a changing landscape. I'll discuss it here on Brewstilled will a beer from Belgium as the beer pairing.
Queen's Landing-er! Natalie & Ben are back with some origin myths & musical chit-chat, but then tangent time is over and they buckle in for intense Hot D action. Rhaenyra has the Iron Throne - at what cost? Daemon's having a very good day, Aemond is going ever more nuts, there's some massive casualties, Ben still can't stand Mysaria and Natalie just wants to see some locker room nudity. Enjoy!
Paul and Andrea are back, and after last week's devastating Battle of the Gullet, this episode opens with Baela, his betrothed, returning Prince Jacaerys's ("Jace") body to Dragonstone. Rhaenyra is consumed by grief, but when Daemon returns from Harrenhal with news that Vhagar has left King's Landing, she finally agrees to retake the capital.Discussion HighlightsThe Battle of the Gullet — Revisionist HistoryThe hosts note the show's "unreliable narrator" device: the dragonseeds arrived at the Gullet after the battle was largely won, yet Ulf later claims credit for having "been there." They speculate the in-world histories may write Baela (and Moondancer) out of the record entirely — mirroring the books' own unreliable-narrator conceit.Emma D'Arcy's PerformanceExtensive praise for D'Arcy's portrayal of Rhaenyra's grief, compared to a similar physical breakdown moment in Downton Abbey. Special attention paid to the scene where Rhaenyra rebuffs Ser Lorent's comfort.Rhaenyra's Shift to DecisivenessThe hosts track Rhaenyra's arc from "what good would killing him do" to ordering Lorent's death moments later, tying it to Daemon's "did the queen stutter" energy and the prophecy (the Prince/Princess That Was Promised) as a source of newfound resolve.Alys Rivers & the Ruby TheoryA deep-cut theory: when Alys tells Daemon "I'll ask for food and you offer me rubies," the hosts connect it to Rhaegar's ruby breastplate and the Trident — suggesting Alys may be cryptically referencing the eventual fall of House Targaryen, generations later.Daemon & MysariaThe hosts debate Mysaria's actual value to Rhaenyra's council beyond being a confidante/paramour, noting she's stopped functioning as a spymaster despite that being her narrative purpose. They also flag how strange Rhaenyra's inner circle (Mysaria, and eventually Alicent) will look to outside lords. The Alicent MVP DiscussionAlicent is credited as the true architect of King's Landing's bloodless surrender — minimizing violence more effectively than Rhaenyra ever managed, while letting history hand the credit to Daemon. The hosts are far more critical of the Ironrod assault scene, calling it an unnecessary and "despicable" use of the sexual-violence-to-build-sympathy trope, seemingly deployed just to justify the audience enjoying his death.Rhaena, Lady Jeyne & the "Nettles" TheoryThe hosts revisit a fan theory (credited to an unnamed Threads user) that Rhaena may take on the identity of Nettles later in the story. They also debate the parentage of Sheepstealer, guessing at Vhagar or Dreamfire as the likely mother. The Velaryons on the BeachThe "Corlys has more than Rhaenyra" line gets pushback (Rhaenyra still has three living sons). The hosts liken the beach scene to a "secret meeting" and mourn how much House Velaryon has sacrificed for a cause that cost them Laenor and Laena outside of direct battle.Dark Sister's SymbolismDaemon gives Rhaenyra Jace's sword — Dark Sister, historically Visenya Targaryen's blade — for the execution. The hosts read this as deliberate: Visenya is remembered (rightly or wrongly) as the warrior-queen of the Conquest era, foreshadowing Rhaenyra's own turn toward decisive violence. The Execution & the ThroneMixed feelings on how the final walk to the Iron Throne was shot — visually stunning (deliberately echoing Viserys's own labored walk) but "heavy-handed" in symbolism. The hosts push back on audience discomfort with Rhaenyra's visible grief while executing Otto, arguing it's a more honest portrayal than the "affectless" violence typically rewarded on this show.Historical Parallels — Who Is Rhaenyra? An extended comparison to real English queens: initially set up like Elizabeth I (diplomat, problem-solver, besieged claim), but the hosts argue the writing is now trending toward Mary I ("Bloody Mary") — a traumatized, zealous ruler shaped by grief and a singular obsessive belief (the prophecy standing in for Mary's Catholicism). Alicent is compared to Margaret Beaufort — a soft-power operator rather than a battlefield figure.Succession Planning CritiqueThe hosts argue Viserys's biggest leadership failure wasn't naming Rhaenyra heir — it was failing to rebuild his council around people who'd actually support her once he was gone, leaving Otto and Alicent in place far too long.
Netflix rewrites beloved characters, Sony walks away from physical media, Westeros delivers, and DC Studios stumbles out of the gate again. This week on the podcast, Brian and Darryl discuss Netflix's handling of Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 and why disrespecting beloved characters is becoming one of streaming's biggest problems. They also break down Sony's latest PlayStation decisions and what they mean for the future of physical media and game ownership. Then it's back to Westeros for House of the Dragon Season 3 Episode 2 before wrapping things up with their review of Supergirl (2026) and whether DC Studios has another winner on its hands. Episode Index Intro: 0:07 Playstation Kill Physical Media: 06:07 AtLAB, Netfilx is why we can’t have nice things: 28:20 House of the Dragon: 41:57 Supergirl: 56:27 PlayStation Announces the End of Physical Media Announcement Date: July 1, 2026 Effective Date: January 2028 Company: Sony Interactive Entertainment Summary: Sony announced that beginning in January 2028, all new PlayStation games will be released digitally only, ending production of physical Blu-ray game discs for future releases. Games already released—or scheduled for release before the 2028 cutoff—will continue to be sold on disc, but every new title afterward will require a digital download through the PlayStation Store or participating retailers. Sony says the decision reflects changing consumer habits, noting that digital purchases now account for roughly 80% of full-game sales on PlayStation. Key Details: – Physical discs for new PlayStation releases end in January 2028. – Existing disc-based games will continue to work and remain available while supplies last. – Retailers will transition to selling digital download codes instead of boxed games. – Sony says the move follows overwhelming consumer preference for digital purchases. Why It Matters: – Gamers lose the ability to buy, sell, trade, or lend future PlayStation games. – Collectors will no longer have physical editions for new releases. – Consumers become increasingly tied to Sony's digital storefront and licensing model. – Preservation advocates worry that future games could become inaccessible if licensing changes or digital storefronts eventually close. – Digital-only distribution gives publishers greater pricing control by reducing competition from the used-game market. Discussion Points: – Do you really own a digital game, or are you simply purchasing a revocable license? – What happens to game preservation when no physical copy exists? – Will digital-only distribution lead to higher prices due to reduced retail competition? – Is convenience worth giving up ownership rights? – Does this set the stage for the PlayStation 6 to become a fully digital platform? Industry analysts increasingly believe so. Infamous Take: While digital downloads are undeniably convenient, this announcement marks the end of an era. Physical media has always given players tangible ownership, resale value, and long-term access independent of corporate licensing agreements. Sony's decision may make business sense, but it also shifts even more control away from consumers and toward platform holders; a trend that extends far beyond gaming. Avatar: The Last Airbender (Netflix) Season: 2 Platform: Netflix Summary: Brian and Darryl discuss Netflix's continued adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender and why they believe the series is losing sight of what made the original so beloved. The conversation focuses on major character changes, the difference between adaptation and rewriting, and why respecting the heart of the source material matters just as much as updating it for a modern audience. House of the Dragon (HBO Max) Season 3, Episode 2 Title: Queen’s Landing Air Date: June 28, 2026 Director: Clare Kilner Writer: Sara Hess Summary: Following the devastating Battle of the Gullet, Rhaenyra's grief quickly turns into resolve as Team Black moves to seize King's Landing. Alicent secretly conspires to surrender the city in hopes of saving part of her family, while Daemon returns to continue the campaign. The episode marks a major turning point in the Dance of the Dragons as alliances shift, old loyalties collapse, and Rhaenyra finally claims the Iron Throne at tremendous personal cost. Pictures Summary: Kara Zor-El embarks on a brutal interstellar journey alongside the young warrior Ruthye Marye Knoll to hunt down the man responsible for murdering Ruthye's family. Along the way, Kara confronts her own trauma while facing the ruthless Krem of the Yellow Hills, resulting in a darker, more cosmic take on the Girl of Steel than previous film adaptations. Main Cast: – Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El / Supergirl – Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll – Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills – Jason Momoa as Lobo – David Krumholtz as Zor-El – Emily Beecham as Alura In-Ze – David Corenswet as Superman (cameo) Production Notes: The second film in DC Studios' new shared universe adapts Tom King's acclaimed Woman of Tomorrow storyline, emphasizing Kara's emotional scars and cosmic adventures over a traditional superhero origin. Despite strong expectations and praise for Milly Alcock's performance, the film opened below box office projections and received mixed critical reception, making it one of the first commercial disappointments of the new DC Universe. Send us Fan MailAmerica didn't wake up in a ditch overnight.Like a washed-out country road, the damage to our republic has been building beneath the surface for years.Today's Opening Argument begins in a small American town where a road has washed out, a mayor is standing in the mud, and everyone wants the same thing:“Fix it.”But one person cannot rebuild a road, run a town, spend public money, and answer to the people all by himself. That is not weakness. That is self-government.And somewhere between towns like Maple Creek and Pennsylvania Avenue, America forgot that lesson. The presidency was never supposed to be an Iron Throne. Congress was never supposed to be a Small Council. And the American people were never supposed to be subjects choosing which political house gets to rule over them.We do not need a better king.We need our republic back.Read more at The Coffman Chronicle:https://www.thecoffmanchronicle.comGet the free Squawk Boss Coffee Freshness Guide:https://WakeUpYourCoffee.comSupport the show

This week, Da7e and Neil are surrendering immediately as Rhaenyra finally makes her way to toward that big spikey chair on House of the Dragon. In The Calm [04:40], they analyze the show's shaky relationship with the concept of honor, discuss this episode's original purpose as a season 2 finale, and throw their support behind the Emmy campaign for Emma D'Arcy. Then in The Storm [01:06:04], they look ahead to what happens now that the Iron Throne has changed hands. And they engage in debate about Daeron, who still may be useful in the weeks to come.Next week, House of the Dragon continues with a third episode that may also be more of a season premiere. Either way, there will be more polygons to discuss on Monday. To interact with the show, send your comments and questions to stormofspoilers@gmail.com, and follow us on Twitter/X and Bluesky @Da7eandNeil.You can also support Da7e and Neil and get all kinds of bonus content (from the Game of Thrones era to the LOST rewatch to our Twin Peaks rewatch project to our current Adventure Pod and Dark watch project) by subscribing to our Patreon here: patreon.com/Da7eandNeil

Support The Channel By Getting Some REEL REJECTS Apparel! https://www.rejectnationshop.com/ In this final review and reaction, Tara and Andrew brace themselves for complete chaos as Daenerys Targaryen goes full Dark Phoenix, completely reshaping the landscape of Westeros forever. We unpack the massive emotional scale and stellar performances of this iconic ensemble cast, featuring Emilia Clarke (Solo: A Star Wars Story, Me Before You) delivering absolute terrifying intensity as the spiraling Mad Queen Daenerys, Kit Harington (Eternals, Pompeii) as the deeply conflicted true heir Jon Snow, and Peter Dinklage (Cyrano, Avengers: Infinity War) giving a masterful, heart-wrenching performance as Tyrion Lannister. We also react to the monumental final arcs for Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Jaime Lannister, Lena Headey as the cornered Queen Cersei, Sophie Turner as Sansa Stark, Maisie Williams as Arya Stark, and Gwendoline Christie as Brienne of Tarth. Our hosts react to every jaw-dropping highlight, brutal execution, and bittersweet farewell this massive two-part finale delivers. We break down the absolute dread of Varys being sentenced to dragon fire by a ruthlessly unhinged Daenerys, the jaw-dropping scale of the attack on King's Landing, and the pure horror of the dragon completely torching innocent civilians long after the city bells rang to surrender. We unpack the bloody, pride-fueled duel between Jaime Lannister and Euron Greyjoy, the hyper-violent poetry of the long-awaited Cleganebowl where the Hound and the Mountain fall together into the flames, and Cersei and Jaime's tragic "Romeo and Juliet" style demise beneath the rubble of the crumbling Red Keep. Finally, we break down the monumental throne room confrontation where Jon Snow delivers a shocking, devastating stab to his queen, Drogon completely melting down the Iron Throne before flying away with his mother, and the highly chaotic Small Council assembly where Tyrion hilariously fields a democratic vote before crowning Bran the Broken as King. We evaluate the incredible cinematic tracking shots, the massive storytelling logic leaps, and the pure emotional weight of the Starks' split endings—including Sansa becoming Queen of the North, Arya exploring uncharted maps, and Jon Snow finally giving Ghost a proper, long-overdue embrace before leading the wildlings back beyond the Wall! His companions stay with him, but they're less convinced. They arrange a meeting with the Tattered Prince, the leader of the Windblown sellsword company. He's not overjoyed to treat with oath-breakers whose treachery has led to the ongoing incarceration of several of his loyal soldiers. He finds it particularly galling when the young prince tries to make a pact with him, based on promises of future payment. The request? Oh the simple matter of aiding Quentyn in stealing a dragon. Well, in that case the payment would have to be the whole of Pentos.Characters/Places/Names/Events:Quentyn Martell - Eldest son, and second child of Prince Doran Martell of Dorne.Gerris Drinkwater “Dink” - Quentyn's companion.Archibald Yronwood “Arch” - Final member of the trio.Windblown - Sellsword company that has entered the fight against Daenerys Targaryen.Tattered Prince - Captain of the Windblown.Daenerys Targaryen - Last remaining descendent of the royal Targaryen line, Stormborn, Mother of Dragons, claimant to the Iron Throne of Westeros, Queen of Meereen.Meereen - Largest of the major slaver cities of Slaver's Bay.Hizdar zo Loraq - Ghiscari nobleman and King Consort to Daenerys. Send a textJoin us on the Entertain This! podcast for a chivalrous dissection of HBO's A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, where we gallantly charge through each episode of this Game of Thrones prequel, set a century before the Iron Throne became everyone's favorite hot seat. Follow the towering Ser Duncan the Tall and his pint-sized squire Egg as they navigate Westeros' thorny politics and perilous tourneys—proving that in Martin's world, even hedge knights can uproot dynasties. We scrutinize pivotal scenes from “The Hedge Knight” (January 18, 2026), “Hard Salt Beef” (January 25, 2026), “The Squire” (February 1, 2026), “Seven” (February 8, 2026), “In the Name of the Mother” (February 15, 2026), and the climactic “The Morrow” (February 22, 2026), delving into character arcs, unexpected twists, and ties to the larger saga—because who needs dragons when you have dramatic irony?Shifting to more refined pursuits, we waltz into Netflix's Bridgerton Season 4, fully unveiled after its bifurcated debut on January 29 and February 26, 2026. This octet of episodes spotlights Benedict Bridgerton's masquerade mishap with the mysterious Sophie Baek, weaving romance, scandal, and Shondaland splendor—reminding us that in Regency England, love is but a ballroom away from a societal slip-up.We then gear up for a critical evaluation of Netflix's sci-fi spectacle War Machine (premiered March 6, 2026), with Alan Ritchson as an Army Ranger battling extraterrestrial automatons—proving that when machines wage war, humanity's best defense is a well-oiled action hero. Under Patrick Hughes' direction, the film unleashes intense skirmishes and probes themes of endurance against alien incursions, where survival hinges on more than just firepower.Concluding with our host's astute musings on Arc Raiders, the PvPvE extraction shooter launched October 30, 2025, after wrapping Mitch's first expedition—a fleeting foray into scavenging, convoy crafting, and reset rigors. We explore its tactical intricacies, strategic layers, and dystopian domain, offering guidance for novices and veterans alike—because in a post-apocalyptic raid, wit is the ultimate loot.Support the show

Send a textBarristan Selmy takes stock after the departure of Daenerys on Drogon. As Hizdahr cements his power, the old knight is forced into plots that he hoped he'd left behind. Simon and Mackelly egg him on.Chapter Review:With Queen Daenerys Targaryen still missing, Ser Barristan Selmy is informed by the seneschal Reznak mo Reznak that King Hizdahr zo Loraq no longer needs him by the new king's side. Selmy is fine with that. He's short of friends right now, with Daario and company still hostages of the Yunkai'i, but Missandei tells him that a masked Brazen Beast approached her to say that the Shavepate (Skahaz mo Kandaq) wants to meet with Selmy. He doesn't trust these masked men, but he agrees to the meeting.Barristan is convinced that Dany lives. She was riding Drogon like the Targaryens of old. But also like the dragons of old, the body count can get out of control. More than 200 burned to death at the fighting pit. He reminisces about his early life and bemoans that he is now engaging in the plots and schemes he hoped he'd left behind in King's Landing. He meets with Skahaz who wants rebellion. The Volantenes are coming to re-enslave everyone. The peace treaty is a sham. Send us a textDaenerys attends the reopening of the fighting pits. It's pretty much as she expected until Drogon arrives and whisks her away. Simon and Mackelly try not to get carried away.Chapter Review:Daenerys Targaryen dons a tokar for the reopening of the fighting pits. Barristan Selmy reports that he freed Meris of the Windblown who assured him that she and the rest of the Westerosi deserters were in fact emissaries from the Tattered Prince who was ready to switch sides. A shadow passes over the pit as Drogon arrives and feasts of boar and Barsena. Pandemonium descends as pit-men try to kill Drogon. Dany drops to the fighting floor and stares down her eldest. Send us a textDaenerys hosts her conquerors, the Yunkai'i. Peace has cost her more than she can stomach. Mackelly and Simon sympathize with her.Chapter Review:Daenerys Targaryen attends a banquet thrown for the Yunkai'i to celebrate the peace. The accords hold, no re-enslavement, no more freeing of the existing slaves, but Daenerys is far from pleased that a slave market has been opened outside her walls - technically not in violation, but an obvious goad to her.To ensure a peaceful evening, hostages have been sent to the Yunkai'i, including Daario Naharis. Probably for the best because one of the envoys from Yunkai is Brown Ben Plum. He tries to smooth things over with Daenerys, but she's still bridling at his betrayal. She asks Barristan Selmy to make overtures to the sellsword companies, not believing that this peace can truly last. She takes Quentyn Martell to see the dragons, and urges him to go home. He wants to stay and fight for her. That night Hizdahr Zo Loraq drunkenly consummates his marriage and hopes for a son as he falls asleep. Daenerys has reason to doubt that his wish will be answered. The queen cannot sleep, tomorrow sees the unwelcome reopening of the fighting pits. She passes the small hours chatting with Missandei about sweet things.
