Simon and Mackelly admire Jon's transformation - from boy to man.Chapter Review:Jon has met with Maester Aemon, who provided the same advice he once gave to his brother Egg: Kill the boy so that the man may be born. She agrees under considerable duress.Next, he meets with Sam who must go to Oldtown and become a maester. Sam is flustered, a Tarly cannot wear a chain of servitude, and he cannot learn to heal because he's scared of blood. Steve Toussaint Accidentally Confirms Daeron Targaryen Casting for House of the Dragon Season 3

Actor Steve Toussaint, known for his role as Lord Corlys Velaryon in House of the Dragon, may have inadvertently confirmed a major casting decision for the upcoming third season. In a now-deleted Instagram post, Toussaint shared a cast list for House of the Dragon Season 3, Episode 4, revealing the inclusion of Prince Daeron Targaryen—a character long speculated to appear in the show. The post was quickly taken down, but not before fan accounts captured and circulated screenshots across social media platforms. The list also included Lady Jeyne Arryn, a character who briefly appeared in Season 2, suggesting an expanded role in the upcoming season.Daeron Targaryen is the youngest son of King Viserys I and Alicent Hightower, making him the younger brother of King Aegon II, Queen Helaena, and Prince Aemond. Unlike his siblings, Daeron was sent to be fostered by House Hightower in Oldtown, a decision made to solidify the family's influence in Westeros. Though absent from the first two seasons, his existence has been subtly acknowledged in dialogue, most notably in a conversation between Alicent and her brother, Ser Gwayne Hightower. In Fire & Blood, the novel by George R.R. Martin that serves as the basis for the series, Daeron is known to be a skilled dragon-rider, bonded with Tessarion, a blue-scaled she-dragon. While details about her age and growth differ in the source material, she is expected to be large enough for battle by the time the Targaryen civil war—known as the Dance of the Dragons—reaches its peak.Daeron's arrival is a significant development in the ongoing struggle between Rhaenyra and Aegon II for the Iron Throne. With another dragon-rider entering the fray, the balance of power may shift dramatically. His presence could also deepen the internal conflicts within House Hightower and the Targaryen factions.Additionally, Toussaint's leaked cast list hints at other notable absences and inclusions. Episode 4 will reportedly omit major players such as Prince Aemond, Otto Hightower, and Addam Velaryon, while featuring Lady Jeyne Arryn. If Jeyne plays a more substantial role, this could indicate increased focus on the Vale and its strategic importance in the war. This is not the first time House of the Dragon has faced early leaks. Casting confirmations and behind-the-scenes photos frequently surface online, fueling speculation about future plotlines. While HBO has yet to officially announce Daeron's casting, Toussaint's deleted post serves as the strongest evidence yet of his upcoming debut.Season 3 of House of the Dragon is currently in production, with a release date expected in 2026 on HBO and Max.Who is Daeron Targaryen? What This Means for Season 3A Pattern of Early Reveals

Mackelly and Simon try to imagine what that must be like.Chapter Review:Tyrion Lannister and Illyrio Mopatis leave Pentos in a closed palanquin. Nobody can know of Tyrion's presence or destination. He thinks that between the sailors and Mopatis' servants the word is already out. But his host is confident of their discretion. Tyrion is doubtful. Tyrion tries to unearth Mopatis' true motivations in helping Daenerys Targaryen regain the Iron Throne. The Pentosi claims that he just wants to help the young girl he fell in love with, that he was promised a Westerosi lordship and the role of Master of Coin. None of that convinces Tyrion. They're headed east toward the Rhoyne, where Tyrion will go south by river to Volantis. There Mopatis expects he'll rendezvous with Daenerys and her growing army. Game of Thrones continues to impress us with its plot twists. Stories from behind the scenes of your favorite TV show can be just as interesting as the main plotlines. The Dothraki language has a vocabulary of over 3,000 words and continues to grow. The language was created by David Joshua Peterson for the TV series. The recipe for pigeon pie was not created by George R. R. Martin: he borrowed it from the 16th-century author Giovanni de' Rosselli. Game of Thrones hit all the possible ratings and became the most pirated TV series of all time. In one episode, one of the spikes at the Red Keep displays the prosthetic head of a former President George Bush. The directors of the show sell replicas of the actual Iron Throne for $30,000 (height: 7′ 2″; weight: 350 pounds). A replica of Gandalf's sword from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit is forged inside the Iron Throne. Baelor the Blessed's surprising ascent to the Iron Throne was followed by a dizzying series of rulings unlike any King before or after. His reign was a decade dedicated to peace… unless it interfered with piety. King Baelor was a man of the seven, often called the Septon King, but he was also a burner of books and a man capable of consigning innocents to homelessness and starvation. Baelor was one of the most exceptional and extreme dragon Kings to sit the Iron Throne, an example of both the best and the worst their line could produce. Send us a Text Message. For this episode of Brewstilled, I'll be recapping the Season 2 finale of HBO's House of The Dragon. For the Season 2 finale, it was anti climatic as the episode was based more on character study and as a preview for what we could see for season 3. We saw the buildup for the war between Team Green and Team Black in this episode with a few of our characters making a last ditch effort for their own respective agendas with some seeking the Iron Throne or to support someone whose seeking it. We also got a very surreal scene in this episode that gave us a reminder of the days of Game of Thrones. I'll be recapping it here on Brewstilled with a Cold IPA from Black Hammer Brewing as the beer pairing.

What's up Bros? In part 1 of our recap, the cast is dealing with the loss of Rhaenys. Corlys finds himself alone at Driftmark, Rhaenyra struggles with allowing those around her to fight her battles. The smallfolk in Kings Landing are facing food shortages and a bad omen as Criston Cole continues to suck and parades a decapitated dragon head through the streets of Kings Landing. Aegon appears to be alive but only barely and the Iron Throne sits vacant for the time being. Criston Cole is struggling to find his way after realizing just how irrelevant he and other foot soldiers are when it comes to dragon war. Rhaenyra feels as though her council is not following her and is doing her best to maintain control over her people. Jace flies to the Frey after frustration boils over from him not being able to contribute to the fight and ends up enlisting the Frey's at the Twins in exchange for Harrenhall. What's up Bros? In the conclusion of our episode, Aemond takes over as King while Aegon is recovering (if Aegon recovers). Alicent attempts to cope with losing all of her power on the council as pretty much everyone agrees that Aemond is the clear choice. Jace successfully enlists the Frey's at the Twins in exchange for Harrenhall. Meanwhile at Harrenhall, Daemon continues his spiral towards insanity as he tries to navigate his battle of who he is. Does he have a heart? Is he on team Rhaenyra? He makes it known that a potential plan is that he himself takes over the Iron Throne. Baela successfully enlists Corlys as Hand of The King which hopefully garners more support for Rhaenyra as she navigates her next moves. Hugh Hammer (the blacksmith) shows us the state of Kings Landing as Aemond orders the gate shut. And could we be seeing the set up for another member of the Targaryen bloodline...? House Blackwood successfully recruits the Brackens, or so we thought, until the Riverlords come to Daemon and inform him that the Blackwoods pillaged and plundered their lands under the Targaryen banner. Not exactly instilling hope that those two armies can come together. Jace returns to Dragonstone and he and Rhaenyra decide to search for distant relatives that also contain dragon blood to hopefully recruit more dragon riders to the cause...
