In this episode of the Harvest Growth Podcast, Jon LaClare sits down with Colton Forth, President of Juke Audio, to discuss how a personal home audio problem turned into a fast-growing consumer electronics brand.Colton shares how he and his father originally developed Juke Audio for their own family home after receiving expensive five-figure quotes for an in-ceiling speaker system. What started as a practical solution for their own needs eventually became a commercial product designed to make whole-home audio more affordable, elegant, and reliable. The conversation explores the advantages of built-in audio systems over bulky “wireless” speakers, especially for new construction, remodels, and retrofits. Colton explains why hardwired, centralized audio systems can offer better aesthetics, stronger reliability, and higher sound quality than many plug-in alternatives.Colton also walks through the early days of launching Juke Audio, including the unforgettable first sale around Thanksgiving 2019, the simple website that helped validate demand, and the handwritten notes that helped create early customer loyalty. From there, he shares how the company built trust through industry trade shows, awards, customer support, Crutchfield, Amazon, authentic founder-led social media content, and user-generated videos. This episode also dives into one of the toughest challenges product brands face: copycats. Colton explains how Juke Audio dealt with a company that copied its product design, logo, listings, and marketing assets — and how patents, legal action, strong branding, and founder authenticity helped protect the business. In today's episode of the Harvest Growth Podcast, we cover:Why built-in home audio can outperform bulky wireless speaker systemsHow Juke Audio started as a solution for Colton's own family homeWhat Colton learned from the company's very first saleHow handwritten notes and accessible customer support built early trustWhy industry awards and trade shows helped validate the brandHow Juke Audio earned a major retail partnership with CrutchfieldWhy authentic founder-led video ads can outperform overproduced contentHow user-generated content can fuel both marketing and product developmentWhat product founders should know about copycats, patents, and brand protectionWhy the best time to start building your business may be right nowIf you're building a premium product, launching a technical consumer brand, or trying to create trust in a competitive market, this episode offers practical insight into product validation, customer support, authentic marketing, and long-term brand protection. To learn more about Juke Audio, visit JukeAudio.com. Brick Lombardi is back behind the mic, and he brought the war drums with him. Volume 2 of Tundra FM rolls through four original Packers anthems — heavier, stranger, and more cinematic than the first — with Brick's 30-year radio veteran voice threading it all together like a late-night transmission from somewhere frozen and beautiful. Tonight's setlist: Creeping Death (Green & Gold) — A Metallica-flavored plague descends on Lambeau. Opponents don't visit. They become cautionary tales. Lombardi's curse is operational. Yak God Two — Tucker Craft is a theological problem. Six-five, 260, ran a 4.6, and somehow the straight line after contact is the slow part. Farm boy power is real and it is punishing. The Predator Two — A tribute to Clay Matthews and 12 relentless seasons. The neck scan that made a surgeon go quiet. The comeback that was never in doubt. Legends aren't built on mercy. This Is My Domain — A special request from Riley for Yoshi the cat — a stray with no collar, no name, running on pure instinct until one dog changed everything. Chris Low on On3 Sports joined 3HL to discuss the latest intel on Juke Harris and Tennessee basketball, Kim Caldwell's progress in the transfer portal, and what is going on with the Texas Tech QB situation.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Things Discussed: Spring Game standouts: Hiter obviously. Buchanan, Tatum looks like a safety, Patterson, Edokpayi, and Palepale. Concern about Bryce? Nah, the situation was not conducive to seeing what Bryce can do; if you play Cov2 back all day for real we'll run like 2021 Washington. It was a better situation to show off what Carr can do. QB run game: rehash last year's issues: tactically it was there; strategically they hadn't run it so they screwed it up). Hoops transfers: Juke Harris or John Blackwell? For this team: Harris. Needs work on defense but Juke makes his own shots. Craig: how do the pieces fit together? Craig thinks Juke is a three. Is he coming? Sam was close to a gut feeling, but why have things dragged out? NIL numbers? Tennessee numbers embellished. Is it a bidding war? Don't know. Sam thinks Liburd is good enough that they don't need all their eggs in that basket. Thiam? Going against Pitino for him so that's big boy battle. Rez: Opt-outs might be moving him up the Draft; the Florida guys coming back has bumped him. If he's in the teens he's in the Draft for sure. Landon DuPont: first-ever status (can play younger) player in CHL, #1 overall potential, Denver/Michigan battle. Michigan hockey summer: Hage is coming back.

Key new technologies include steer-by-wire — a first for a German production car — bidirectional charging, silicon oxide-graphite anodes pushing usable battery capacity to 122 kWh, a rear two-speed gearbox, and 385 kW regenerative braking, with a new entry-level EQS 400 starting at around £80,500 in the UK.***NISSAN CONFIRMS ELECTRIC JUKE FOR EUROPE IN 2027Nissan has revealed the third-generation Juke as a fully electric model, built at its Sunderland factory and going on sale exclusively in Europe in 2027, based on the CMF-EV platform shared with the new Nissan Leaf. The EV Juke will run alongside a continuing petrol version due to uncertainty around EV adoption, and is expected to offer up to 622 km (386 miles) of WLTP range with the larger 75.1 kWh battery option, though official specs have not yet been confirmed.***EUROPE EV SALES HIT MARCH RECORDEuropean BEV and plug-in hybrid registrations hit a monthly all-time high of nearly 540,000 units in March 2026, up 37% year-on-year, driven partly by sharp fuel price rises following the disruption of shipping routes at the start of the Iran war in late February. Global EV registrations also rose 3% to over 1.7 million in March, though China bucked the trend with a 14% fall in BEV sales after the end of purchase tax exemptions and trade-in subsidies.***KIA CONFIRMS EV1 FOR 2027Kia has confirmed a 2027 launch for its most affordable EV yet, expected to wear the EV1 badge, targeting the segment occupied by the BYD Dolphin and Renault 5 EV with European pricing expected around €25,000 (~£21,200). Built on the 400V E-GMP platform, it will offer two battery options — 42.2 kWh and 61 kWh — and is also set to replace Kia's last entry-level combustion car, the petrol Picanto.***FRANCE PREPARES THIRD EV SOCIAL LEASING ROUNDFrance will launch its third social EV leasing round in June, maintaining a quota of 50,000 contracts aimed at helping low-income households switch to EVs, with Prime Minister Lecornu citing EV running costs of just €2–3 per 100 km versus around €11 for diesel. The government has also set targets for Renault and Stellantis to produce 400,000 electric cars per year by 2027 and one million by 2030, alongside a new 50,000-contract programme for high-mileage middle-income workers such as carers and nurses.***FRANCE TIES ELECTRIFICATION TO ENERGY SECURITYFrance has become the first country to announce a major national electrification package directly in response to the Strait of Hormuz energy crisis, doubling annual state support from €5.5 billion to €10 billion through 2030 and targeting fossil dependence in both transport and heating. The plan includes banning gas heating in new buildings from late 2026 or 2027, subsidising 50,000 EVs for high-mileage drivers, offering businesses up to €100,000 per electric truck or van, and building 1 million domestically manufactured heat pumps per year by 2030.***US SOLAR SURGE DEEPENS COAL DECLINEThe US Energy Information Administration forecast on 6 April that solar energy generation will rise 17% this summer compared to 2025 levels, with solar projected to grow from 293 billion kWh in 2025 to 415 billion kWh in 2027, while coal generation is expected to fall roughly 10% in the first half of 2026. Over 90% of net new US generating capacity in 2026 is forecast to come from solar, wind, and battery storage, though rising solar shares are already exposing grids to sharper afternoon price swings and driving increased investment in battery storage alongside new capacity.***VOLVO TRUCKS PUSHES ELECTRIC HEAVY HAULAGE FURTHERVolvo Trucks has launched the FH Aero Electric with up to 700 km of range, 460 kW output, MCS charging at 700 kW (20–80% in around 50 minutes), and support for gross combination weights of up to 48 tonnes, directly targeting the range and payload objections that have held back heavy electric freight. Alongside it, updated FH, FM, and FMX Electric models for regional and construction work offer up to 470 km range, a new dual-motor driveline producing up to 540 kW, and an integrated gearbox PTO capable of driving equipment such as concrete mixers and cranes, with market rollout beginning in phases from 2026.

So here is what happened—in case you are not up to speed. My friend Brooks Potteiger was on a podcast with Joshua Haymes and the topic of James Talarico, a death angel from Texas, came up. Now to be fair, he doesn't look like a death angel. As one meme put it, he looks like a walking embodiment of that COEXIST bumper sticker. But despite the choir boy appearances, he is a card-carrying member of the abortion death cult. For more from Doug, subscribe to Canon+: https://canonplus.com/

Shoot us a Text.Episode #1167: GM kills its creative EV tax credit plan while Ford plays coy, the Chevy Bolt returns faster and cheaper than ever, and three Nissan dealers take their high-mileage heroes on a 1,500-mile proving ground through the American West.General Motors has scrapped a short-lived plan that would have allowed dealers to keep offering a $7,500 federal EV lease credit after the subsidy expired on September 30. The move follows political pushback and dealer uncertainty around compliance.GM's plan involved having GM Financial buy EVs from dealer inventory, claim the federal credit, and pass the savings into leases through the end of 2024.GM had already begun funding incentives on about 20,000 EVs, with 5% down payments made on those vehicles prior to September 30.The program was meant to help dealers avoid being stuck with higher-priced EVs post-credit, but Senator Bernie Moreno (R-OH), a former dealer, objected to the move, calling it an overreach beyond the law's expiration. GM ended the plan shortly after.Ford rolled out a similar workaround ahead of the credit's expiration but has declined to confirm whether it plans to continue offering the lease incentives. At a “Bolt Block Party” at Universal Studios Hollywood, GM has officially reintroduced the Chevy Bolt, its beloved affordable EV.The new Bolt gains GM's Ultium 65kWh LFP battery for faster charging, improved range, and bidirectional home power support.Charging now jumps to 150kW (10–80% in 26 minutes) — triple the previous speed — with 255 miles of range and Tesla's NACS port for Supercharger access. The interior gets a bigger screen, refreshed materials and GM's SuperCruise driver assist with lane-changing “route following.”Pricing starts at just under $29K, making it the cheapest announced EV in the U.S., with production starting in early 2026.The only controversy? No more Apple CarPlay or Android Auto — GM is betting on its new in-house infotainment instead.Three Nissan dealers traded in their desks for desert dust, road-tripping 1,500 miles across the American West in three used Nissans — all over 100K miles and under $10K — to prove the brand's reliability and shake up customer perceptions. The “Tour Detour” YouTube series follows the group's off-road trek through salt flats, canyons, dunes, and mountain passes in two Muranos and a Juke.Dealers Tim Pohanka, Chris Lenckosz, and Jason Cole financed and drove the cars themselves, documenting every gritty mile. The goal: to challenge Nissan's reputation around “continuously variable transmissions” durability and show that even high-mileage models can take a beating.“We bought the cars ourselves and pushed them through the toughest roads in the West,” said Pohanka. “We wanted them to earn our trust — and our customeJoin Paul J Daly and Kyle Mountsier every morning for the Automotive State of the Union podcast as they connect the dots across car dealerships, retail trends, emerging tech like AI, and cultural shifts—bringing clarity, speed, and people-first insight to automotive leaders navigating a rapidly changing industry.Get the Daily Push Back email at https://www.asotu.com/ JOIN the conversation on LinkedIn at: https://www.linkedin.com/company/asotu/
