We’re just a couple of moms who like to talk about weird shit, like true crime and the world of the paranormal. We also happen to be best sister-friends. If you like weird shit too, and don’t get offended easily, we hope you’ll give us a listen!
Cecelia Alles & Jules Creighton
This week Jules & CiCi reflect on a year of podcasting and lessons learned, and read some saucy old newspaper articles about past cases. We also have some very big news to share.
This week, CiCi finishes up the Alcatraz series by talking about the potentially successful prison break by Morris and the Anglin brothers. We also cover the hauntings!
We're taking a brief hiatus from Alcatraz for a special Mother's Day episode with new mom, Concrete Kira! She takes us on a wild ride with the tale of the Headless Camelman.
This week CiCi tells us about the history of Alcatraz, some of its most notable prisoners, why nobody wants to be there, why its so fucking hard to escape, and all the ways people failed. Jules inserts Albatrosses into the narrative.
This week, Jules tells us about the creepy ass little Moon Eyed people, who may have been real, or just another member of the Others. We also debate theories of white indigenous tribes in the U.S.
This week CiCi talks about the legend of the Men in Black. Is it the government? Time travelers? Extraterrestrials? Hear about stories like the Maury Island Incident, Alfred K. Bender, the Flatwoods Monster, and Mothman. We'll tie it all up in a bow with Tom DeLonge's "The Others" theory.
This week Jules and CiCi talk about haunted hotels that they've mostly been to. Chase on the Lake in Walker, Minnesota, DeSoto House in Galena, IL, Windsor Hotel in Georgia, and the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, WI all made the list.
This week Jules finishes out the Fred Deeming case. Find out how he gets caught!
This week, Jules starts telling us about the life and crimes of Fred Deeming, a serial killer. Is he Jack the Ripper? Is he just a dick? Does he love love or does he just love a good wedding registry? Listen in to find out!
This week, Cici dives into the crimes of HH Holmes, who was a super big douchebag. Was there really a murder castle? Listen to find out!
This week Jules takes us to San Antonio, TX to some haunted hotels at the site of the Alamo! Annnd, she actually STAYED THERE.
CiCi talks more about the spirit world and what happens when you decide to return to earth!
This week, Cici takes us into the research and findings of Dr. Michael Newton, a hypnotist that studied the period of time between our past lives and current. It's pretty far out there, and very trippy, but consistent findings across individuals of various backgrounds and religions makes for a very compelling argument.
This week, Jules dives into the mystical murder of Charles Walton, who may or may not have been a warlock who was involved in Natterjack toad husbandry.
Hold onto your calf-headed anacondas, friends. This week CiCi dives into El Chupacabra and some of his Spanish speaking buddies. And yes, we know that CiCi's audio sucks, so please forgive us this time.
This week, Jules covers the trial and murder theories. CiCi covers the hauntings of both the Borden family home and Lizzie/Lizbeth's Maplecroft Mansion that she lived in after the murders until her death.
This week, Jules continues what will probably be a 4 part series on the Lizzie Borden case, getting into detail about what went down in the Borden's home on the morning her parents were MURDERED. Also, detail is an understatement, so buckle up, bitches.
This week, we continue what is likely to be a 3-4 part series on the Lizzie Borden case. Doc joins us to analyze the crime scene photos and give his professional opinion on the limited information available. Doc, also known as Mr. Jules, has an extensive background as a homicide investigator, professor of forensics, and has spent countless hours at the autopsy table. With all of this set, in the next episode, Jules will dive into the trial!
This week Jules begins diving into what will likely be a 3 or 4 part series on the Lizzie Borden case. As most know, Lizzie Borden was accused of murdering her father and step-mother with a hatchet in the late 1800s. Jules sets us up in the first couple of episodes with background information about the family, the layout of their home, and what hygiene we might expect from the ladies of this time, given that there wasn't much plumbing going on in this house. This will be extremely helpful in Episode 3, where she'll start talking in more detail about the trial. For pictures referenced in this episode, head to Historic Trial Transcripts. This week CiCi finishes out Bob Lazar's crazy story! And then touches on the weird rabbit hole she's fallen down whilst learning about Tom DeLonge's UFO theories.
This week, CiCi dives into Bob Lazar's claims that in the late 80's, he worked at an area called S4 our near Groom Lake and Area 51 in the Nevada desert. These claims put Area 51 on the map for UFO enthusiasts. This story is wild in more ways than one. This week Jules covers the cold case of Lydia Thompson from the 1940's. This shit is bananas. B A N A N A S.
This week, CiCi covers the festive holiday murders of the Lawson family in 1929. She also discusses new answers to this mystery possibly given to us by the new Netflix show 28 Days Haunted.
This week, Jules dives into the tale of Peter Stube, or Stubbe, or Stübbe or Peter Stumpf, or just "Stumpy." CiCi will give some more detail on what he was accused of and a little bit of ridiculous history and lore around werewolves. You'll also get to hear a mostly unrelated tale from our childhood.
This week, Jules and CiCi cover North American Cryptids like Razor Elbows, Flying Head Guy, and the Perverted Merman. It's a fun time. Heavily referencing and quoting an article, by Steve (no last name?) at https://historycollection.com/18-spooky-native-american-monsters-that-will-keep-you-awake-at-night/2/
This week, CiCi dives into the case of Bobby Dunbar, a 4 year old boy who went missing during a family fishing trip on Swayze Lake in Louisiana. After the boy's body was never recovered, the family concluded that Bobby must have been kidnapped and after 8 months, they finally found him and brought him home. The only problem is that another woman claimed this was her son. Who was actually recovered? Bobby, or Bruce?
This week, Jules introduces us to Dr. Satan, Marcel Petiot, who guised himself as a member of the French Resistance during WWII, but was actually a complete and total monster.
This week CiCi dives into witness accounts of what really happened near Roswell in July of 1947. Were there actually alien bodies recovered? Was one of them alive?! Was the military threatening the lives of children? Probably.
This week, CiCi puts back on her tin foil hat to bring you back to Roswell, New Mexico in July of 1947 when a crazy discovery on a rural ranch leads to the US Military to tell the world they recovered a crashed alien spacecraft... only to announce the next day that it was very confusing and it was nothing more than a weather balloon. https://patreon.com/weirdshitmymomsayspodcast https://facebook.com/weirdshtmymomsayspodcast Instagram @weirdshitmymomsayspodcast TikTok @weirdshitmymomsayspodcast weirdshitmymomsays@gmail.com
This week, CiCi tells the tale of the real life story behind the Exorcism of Emily Rose. Annaliese Michel was either possessed by a demon or fell victim to mental illness, exacerbated by devout religious belief. Also - we want to get to know our listeners better!
