In 2011, I received an account from an Ohio woman who had previously shared her intuitive experiences with me. This woman led a difficult life growing up, even though she was quite astute. It was also obvious that the family dealt with dysfunction, as you'll hear as I get deeper into the story. Her parents, particularly her father, realized she possessed intuitive and psychic abilities. I believe that her father was also intuitive. The remarkable narrative may very well add credence to the Mothman phenomenon and, frankly, I have no reason not to believe the story. I have not edited the original text except for a few minor errors. I realize that the allegory is hard to follow at certain spots, but I wanted to save the integrity of the experiencer's thoughts and emotions. This account resulted in quite a bit of feedback. Returning to the world of cryptozoology again by popular demand, tonight's episode of Crime in the Coalfields focuses on the most well-known Cryptid in the Mountain State. Bill and Jaci Kousoulas have done extensive research on the 1967 Silver Bridge Disaster in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, interviewing numerous witnesses of The Mothman and other unusual and psychological phenomena surrounding those events.
