The Axeman of New Orleans was a nearly forgotten serial murderer who assaulted twelve victims in the late 1910s. What has kept him from fading into complete obscurity is his letter to the local newspaper in which he claimed to be a demon from Hell that loved jazz music - and if the citizens of New Orleans wanted him to stop killing, they'd be in the middle of a swinging jazz party when he next visited their city. Barbara began a stage career at age 15 with Little Theatre Productions. A demanding performance schedule sometimes required appearances in three states a day. At 19, Barbara enrolled in formal studies of music, theater, and dance at Indiana University. Although she had been steeped in classical music forms from childhood, jazz and blues fanned her inner fire as an entertainer coming of age. When an offer came to perform in Las Vegas, she was "all in." She relocated to Nevada and, over the next 14 years, captivated audiences with inspired interpretations of jazz standards, show tunes, and popular songs across genres. Barbara became known not only for her pure voice and exceptional, five-octave range but for her ability to connect with audiences emotionally and draw them into the music. A reputation for professionalism found her sharing the spotlight with such talents as Frank Sinatra Jr. and Billy Preston. As returned to the Midwest and, in collaboration with other jazz musicians, continued to perform in clubs and private venues. When the USO came calling, Barbara answered and joined the show, traveling the globe for three years as a featured entertainer, lifting the spirits of our men and women in uniform. Back at home, Barbara formed "Jazzin," her own ensemble, and her duo, Side by Side, with pianist, singer, and composer, John Michael O'Leary, is a perfect example of bringing jazz and timeless classics with a flair for love & laughter to audiences of all ages. Favorited Quote: Once there was a moment and four men, and of the moment and four men only one survived because he alone was able to step over the moment and move on to the next... Barbara Santora's new single 'Are you really here?' Other songs will be played...

Darbojas Equanimity Trio. Uzstājies kopā ar mūziķiem: Marks Dresers, Julia Silvera, Mariuss Ungureanu, Jespers Lovdals, Roks Zubovs, Ahto Abners un citi. Piedalījies projektos Kenneth Dahl Knudsen's Orchestra, UNIT, Skaggerak, festivālos “Saulkrasti Jazz”, “Rīgas Ritmi”, Baltic Breeze, Den Blaa Festival, Festivalul Capitalelor Natiunilor Centenare.

For the younger generations, music is a bit periferal, they listen to it while they are doing other things. While in the past, listening to music was a primary activity, where you could also read the liner notes. 22:40 This year and a half, its been very hard for jazz musicians to make a living. Without the live side, most of the artists cannot live off of the sale of their music. 31:15 There are some many sites that explore the style of jazz iconic personalities like Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong and many more.
