Don and Dude channel Ren & Stumpy and search for "Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy." The boys explore two joyful records that turned pure happiness into chart gold and lifelong fan obsessions. From psychedelic club anthems to bar band singalongs, the guys trace how these albums turned big smiles, tight grooves, and radio hooks into proof that joy never goes out of style. The AlbumsDeee-Lite – World Clique (1990)A colorful debut blending house grooves, funk samples, and club culture idealism, powered by Lady Miss Kier's vocals, guest appearances from Bootsy Collins and Q-Tip, and a world clique vision of global connection through rhythm and joy.Huey Lewis and the News – Sports (1983)A polished bar band record built from tight pop rock hooks, relatable adult themes, and a mix of modern production with classic R&B and country touches, delivering 37 minutes of earnest, sweaty, sing-along happiness that defined mid-80s radio.Diggin' AlbumsAshley McBryde – Wild (2026)Gritty country rock balancing hard-driving energy with vulnerable storytelling about sobriety and survival. The Cars – The Cars (1978)Sleek new wave debut bridging rock guitars and synth textures into radio-ready hooks that shaped the sound of the early 80s.Modest Mouse – An Eraser and a Maze (2026)Pacific Northwest indie rock exploring progress, self-sabotage, and navigating chaos through Isaac Brock's jagged guitar work and anxious lyrics.Death Cab for Cutie – I Built You a Tower (2026)Reflective indie rock from Ben Gibbard circling themes of loss and grief, building an inner tower to hold heavy experiences while moving forward.Follow & SupportFollow the show on Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and Bluesky @albumnerds, and support by subscribing, rating, reviewing, and sharing with another music obsessive who still loves hearing whole albums front to back."Happiness is anyone and anything at all that's loved by you." - from You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, music and lyrics by Clark Gesner (1967)

All Home Care Matters and our host, Lance A. Slatton were honored to welcome Deanna Gerstel Harris as guest to the show. About Deanna Gerstel Harris: Deanna Gerstel Harris is a writer, director, producer, board-certified holistic health practitioner, and former creator of digital content for children with developmental disabilities. She was featured in Redbook Magazine's “Heroes: 10 Moms Who Are Changing the Face of Autism.” A caregiver for over 20 years, Deanna has served as a Fellow with Caring Across Generations, a national organization working to transform the way we care in this country. An experienced manager of Broadway, film, and television talent, Deanna's projects are deeply informed by her lived experience as both a caregiver and care recipient, as well as her passion for centering caregiver resilience and uplifting underrepresented voices and experiences. About When We Care: When We Care is an upcoming animated short film that explores the profound and urgent intersection of the climate and caregiving crises. With an Academy Award-winning animation director and a celebrated Disney composer, the film uses stunning animation and evocative music to tell a moving story of connection, resilience, and shared responsibility. At a time of deep societal polarization and ecological instability, When We Care offers a poetic reminder of the beauty that emerges when we care for one another—and for the environments we call home. Written and directed by Deanna Gerstel Harris and co-produced with Monica Lund and Marian Yeager, the film is deeply rooted in the personal experiences of its creator, who is among the 105 million caregivers impacted by America's growing care crisis. As caregivers and global citizens, Deanna and the When We Care team bring a rare, authentic lens to a story that is both intimate and universal. Their creative vision underscores the growing urgency of two converging global challenges—how we care for people and how we care for the planet—and the opportunity to build a more compassionate and sustainable future. Inspired by real-life events surrounding a beloved cherry blossom tree affectionately known as “Stumpy,” the film draws on both natural symbolism and lived experience to explore themes of care, interdependence, grief, joy, and endurance, and resilience. When We Care is not only a visual and emotional experience—it is a call to action, urging audiences to rethink how we define compassion, strength, sustainability, and community in the face of overlapping crises. With its compelling narrative, artistic excellence, and social impact potential, When We Care explores finding resilience amidst the caregiving and climate crises through the challenges associated with sandwich generation caregiving, aging with dignity, pediatric cancer, the unhoused and homelessness, preserving our environment, and care of our veterans, while inviting viewers to imagine a world in which care, for each other and the Earth, is not a burden, but a shared value that binds us together and helps us all to thrive.

Everybody sing *poooddccasssstttttt* Hello and welcome to The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast! Chris and the team are taking a well-earned break this week but don't worry, you're in safe hands with trusty Toby Tarrant. Toby kicked off the week with a massive announcement about his ‘Tarrant vs The Thames' challenge, in aid of Global's Make Some Noise. He'll be travelling 56 miles down the river in true style: in a giant unicorn pedalo. The challenge will take place in October and Toby would be thrilled with any support or donations you can give. Toby was joined by some fabulous guests this week. Firstly, Teri Hatcher, aka Lois Lane, brought glamour and giggles, telling us all about how the spooky movie ‘Coraline' is returning to cinemas in 3D this August. Next, TV adventurer Aldo Kane made his most daring expedition yet to the Leicester Square studios, telling Toby all about the mental trails of exploring, as well as the importance of anti-chafing creams. Then, national treasure Mel Giedroyc met Toby for the first time, and agreed to join Toby on his pedalo challenge. Finally, comedian Maisie Adam made a last minute visit and, without knowing what she was in for, got roped into playing a quiz with the team. Speaking of quizzes, Toby turned the studio into his own house of games this week, with the return of Stumpy's Quiz, as well as two new games: Intern Bella's ‘Squeak, Squeal, Squawk' and Producer Harry's ‘Rock n Roll Games Console'. And that's a wrap! It's all good stuff, but here's some Tarrant treats...A spooky tale about sausage rolls in Sunderland An ‘encouraging' message from Sir Steve Redgrave Toby's roast from a robotEnjoy! Don't you hate it when three alligator brothers will not listen to each other when trying to find a safe place to build a home? The reason: Well, two of the brothers, Bumpy and Lumpy, ignore the other brother, Stumpy, who they think has a big mouth and who always reminds his siblings that he knows better. If you think Stumpy has problems, there is a story about Wilbur, the neighborhood sheep, who is ignored because his ideas are always very unsheep-like. Such is a day in the menagerie of Leslie (Hebert) Helakowski, a Lafayette native who divides her time in Michigan writing nationally-acclaimed children's books – 15 so far. She joins Louisiana Life Executive Editor Errol Laborde, along with Producer Kelly Massicot, to talk about the art of appealing to children through story telling. Will anyone ever listen to Lumpy? And does Wilbur have any credibility at all? These and other questions can be answered by getting to know Leslie and her books.

Happy New Years from the Misfits! This being our final show of 2023, we decided to invite listeners to join us via Zoom for our recording, and hear what they have to say. We talk about what bike is next on the list to buy, what's the next riding destination, and what everyone considers the golden era of motorcycles. The 90's sportbike era, the 1920s when people started to travel more by motorcycle, or is it still to come with all of the new technology around the corner? What do you think? Then we hit Emma with some Tell Me Why questions, and she does her best to explain things to us mere mortals. Thanks to everyone who joined us on the recording, and for making it feel like a party. But especially thanks to all of our listeners for keeping us going and looking ahead to all of our adventures in 2024. With Liza, Stumpy John, Miss Emma, Scottie, Mrs. Stumpy and the Zoom crew. breakingawayadventures.com/misfits-rally-vol-2 www.vintagerides.travel Join our Discord at discord.gg/hpRZcucHCT www.motorcyclesandmisfits.com motorcyclesandmisfits@gmail.com www.patreon.com/motorcyclesandmisfits www.zazzle.com/store/recyclegarage www.youtube.com/channel/UC3wKZSP0J9FBGB79169ciew
