Everybody sing *poooddccasssstttttt* Hello and welcome to The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Podcast! Chris and the team are taking a well-earned break this week but don't worry, you're in safe hands with trusty Toby Tarrant. Toby kicked off the week with a massive announcement about his ‘Tarrant vs The Thames' challenge, in aid of Global's Make Some Noise. He'll be travelling 56 miles down the river in true style: in a giant unicorn pedalo. The challenge will take place in October and Toby would be thrilled with any support or donations you can give. Toby was joined by some fabulous guests this week. Firstly, Teri Hatcher, aka Lois Lane, brought glamour and giggles, telling us all about how the spooky movie ‘Coraline' is returning to cinemas in 3D this August. Next, TV adventurer Aldo Kane made his most daring expedition yet to the Leicester Square studios, telling Toby all about the mental trails of exploring, as well as the importance of anti-chafing creams. Then, national treasure Mel Giedroyc met Toby for the first time, and agreed to join Toby on his pedalo challenge. Finally, comedian Maisie Adam made a last minute visit and, without knowing what she was in for, got roped into playing a quiz with the team. Speaking of quizzes, Toby turned the studio into his own house of games this week, with the return of Stumpy's Quiz, as well as two new games: Intern Bella's ‘Squeak, Squeal, Squawk' and Producer Harry's ‘Rock n Roll Games Console'. And that's a wrap! It's all good stuff, but here's some Tarrant treats...A spooky tale about sausage rolls in Sunderland An ‘encouraging' message from Sir Steve Redgrave Toby's roast from a robotEnjoy! Don't you hate it when three alligator brothers will not listen to each other when trying to find a safe place to build a home? The reason: Well, two of the brothers, Bumpy and Lumpy, ignore the other brother, Stumpy, who they think has a big mouth and who always reminds his siblings that he knows better. If you think Stumpy has problems, there is a story about Wilbur, the neighborhood sheep, who is ignored because his ideas are always very unsheep-like. Such is a day in the menagerie of Leslie (Hebert) Helakowski, a Lafayette native who divides her time in Michigan writing nationally-acclaimed children's books – 15 so far. She joins Louisiana Life Executive Editor Errol Laborde, along with Producer Kelly Massicot, to talk about the art of appealing to children through story telling. Will anyone ever listen to Lumpy? And does Wilbur have any credibility at all? These and other questions can be answered by getting to know Leslie and her books.

Happy New Years from the Misfits! This being our final show of 2023, we decided to invite listeners to join us via Zoom for our recording, and hear what they have to say. We talk about what bike is next on the list to buy, what's the next riding destination, and what everyone considers the golden era of motorcycles. The 90's sportbike era, the 1920s when people started to travel more by motorcycle, or is it still to come with all of the new technology around the corner? What do you think? Then we hit Emma with some Tell Me Why questions, and she does her best to explain things to us mere mortals. Thanks to everyone who joined us on the recording, and for making it feel like a party. But especially thanks to all of our listeners for keeping us going and looking ahead to all of our adventures in 2024. Unfortunately John's dad recently passed away, so John shares stories of his dad who was a great mechanic and racer in his time. And although he may have had what it takes to be a pro racer, he instead decided to have a family and keep racing as a hobby. John was fortunate enough to grow up racing and wrenching alongside his dad, and has so many wonderful memories of this time. And to show our appreciation of John, we gifted him with a new bike. Listen and find out what kind it is! With Liza, Stumpy John, Miss Emma, Naked Jim and Bagel.
