**Discussion begins at 3:10**Picture this: You're standing on a tiny island in the middle of San Francisco Bay.  The city skyline is just over one mile away.  You can see it.  At night, you can see the lights.  If the wind is right, you can even hear the sounds of people living their normal, free lives across the water.  But between you and them is freezing water, brutal currents, and a prison specifically designed to make sure you never leave.  Welcome to Alcatraz.  From 1934-1962 the former military fortress became the home of some of America's most notorious criminals, including Al Capone, George “Machine Gun” Kelly, and Whitey Bulger to name a few.  If they were too notorious, too dangerous, or too escape prone for normal prisons, they were sent to Alcatraz.  And honestly, the setup was pretty solid.  You had reinforced cells, armed guards, watchtowers, barbed wire, and almost two miles of San Francisco Bay between you and freedom.  The government was so confident in this arrangement that Alcatraz developed a reputation as being virtually escape-proof.  Officially, no prisoner ever successfully escaped Alcatraz.But on the morning of June 12, 1962, guards discovered something very inconvenient.  Frank Morris and brothers John and Clarence Anglin were not in their cells.  The men had spent months secretly digging holes through the walls of their cells using homemade tools, hiding the damage behind fake vents, building dummy heads out of soap, concrete dust, paint and actual human hair, constructing a raft out of stolen raincoats, and essentially running a tiny arts-and-crafts program behind the backs of the federal government.  Then they climbed through the walls, got onto the roof, made their way to the shoreline, launched their homemade raft into San Francisco Bay…. and vanished.The FBI eventually concluded that the men most likely drowned, despite the bodies never being found.  And this is where we put on our little tin foil hats.  Because over the decades, there have been alleged sightings, family stories, mysterious photographs, flowers reportedly sent to the Anglin brothers' mother, and even a letter allegedly written by one of the escapees claiming that all three men survived.  So either three convicted criminals drowned in one of the coldest, roughest stretches of water in California... or the federal government spent years insisting that nobody could escape Alcatraz after three men successfully escaped Alcatraz.  And that is not even the only weird thing about this island.Alcatraz has military history, infamous mobsters, bizarre escape attempts, a violent prison uprising literally called the Battle of Alcatraz in which the Marines had to save the day, an Indigenous occupation, and enough alleged paranormal activity that apparently even after the prison closed, some residents still refused to check out.  Get your drinks ready Foil Heads, because today we are going to The Rock.Send us Fan MailSupport the showTheme song by INDA

What happens when the Holy Spirit's power comes upon a person's life? In this message, we continue exploring the anointing through the story of Saul in 1 Samuel 10 and discover how God's anointing distinguishes, dedicates, and makes us different.Saul's experience reveals that the anointing is purposeful, prophetical, powerful, and perceptible. God anointed Saul for a specific purpose, gave him prophetic direction, transformed his heart, and empowered him through the Holy Spirit. The Spirit didn't simply change what was happening around Saul—it changed Saul himself. What God poured into him began to flow through him, even affecting the way he spoke.The same Holy Spirit is available to God's people today. This message challenges us to pursue the fullness of what God wants to do in our lives, to desire spiritual gifts, and to allow the Spirit to flow through us in ways that impact others. When the Holy Spirit truly moves in a person's life, the change should become evident. People should be able to look at us and say, “Something happened to them!”Whether you need a first anointing or a fresh anointing, this message is an invitation to ask, seek, and knock—to receive the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit and experience the freedom that comes when His anointing makes the difference.

What does it mean to be anointed by God? In this message, we explore the biblical meaning of anointing through the story of Saul in 1 Samuel 10 and Paul's declaration in 2 Corinthians 1:21 that God “has anointed us.” From the Old Testament to the New Testament, we see that God's anointing sets people apart for His purposes and is fulfilled through the work of the Holy Spirit.Saul's anointing reveals that God's anointing is purposeful and prophetical. God anointed Saul for a specific assignment, and the Spirit of God came powerfully upon him, transforming his heart and marking him as someone set apart by God.But God's anointing also makes a difference in our lives. It distinguishes us, dedicates us, and makes us different as we walk in the purpose God has given us. This message challenges us to recognize what God has placed on our lives and to understand that there is an attack against the anointing God has given us. The question is not simply whether God has called us, but whether we will faithfully walk in what He has anointed us to do.

Are you being discipled? In this message, we look at Jesus calling Peter, Andrew, James, and John in Matthew 4 and discover three essential facets of discipleship: Decision, Development, and Duplication.Discipleship begins with a decision to answer Jesus' invitation to “Follow me.” But following Jesus doesn't stop with a decision—it is a lifelong process of being developed, built up, and established in the faith. The people we surround ourselves with matter, and healthy relationships with other believers should challenge us to become closer, stronger, and more faithful followers of Christ.But discipleship doesn't end with our own growth. Jesus called His disciples to become “fishers of men,” showing us that what God is doing in us is meant to be duplicated in someone else. As Paul said, “Imitate me, as I also imitate Christ.” Biblical discipleship is ultimately about living in such a way that we can say to someone else, “Follow me while I follow Jesus.”The question is simple but deeply important: Have you made the decision to follow Jesus? Are you being developed by other believers? And who are you currently helping become a disciple of Christ?

Jesus told this parable in response to the Pharisees' criticism of Him welcoming sinners, revealing that while religion often resists grace, the Father always celebrates repentance.This message explores the Father's response to restoration and the invitation for every believer to join the celebration. Heaven rejoices when the lost are found, the Father throws the party, the restored son celebrates his new beginning, and the family is called to rejoice together. But Jesus also exposes the danger of a judgmental heart through the older brother, who refused to celebrate what the Father was celebrating. His response mirrored the Pharisees, reminding us that legalism can rob us of the joy of God's grace.As followers of Christ, we're called to reflect the Father's heart, not the older brother's attitude. Every salvation, every restored life, and every prodigal who returns is a reason to celebrate. When someone comes home to God, it's not just good news—it's party time.

While the son returned home believing he deserved to be treated as a servant, the father responded with compassion, restoration, and celebration. Jesus paints a beautiful picture of our Heavenly Father's heart—a Father who never stopped looking, never stopped loving, and never stopped calling His children home.Through the father's embrace, the robe, the ring, the sandals, and the feast, we're reminded that repentance doesn't lead to rejection—it leads to restoration. God doesn't reluctantly receive us back; He runs to meet us, covers our shame, restores our identity, and reminds us that we still belong to Him. His grace is greater than our failures, and His love is stronger than our shame.If you've ever wondered whether you've gone too far or failed too greatly, this message offers hope: your Heavenly Father is still watching, still waiting, and still ready to welcome you home. Through the story of John the Baptist in Matthew 11, we see how doubt can creep in—but also how Jesus responds by reminding us of who He is and what He's doing. Even when circumstances don't change, our faith can be set free when we choose to trust God anyway.

In this message, we explore why people are so easily offended and how believers can break free from the trap of taking everything personally. Looking at the example of King David in 2 Samuel 16, we learn how to respond to criticism, conflict, and hurt with humility, peace, and grace instead of pride or emotion. When we remember the grace God has shown us, we can stop living offended and start living free.

Fasting is more than just abstaining from food - it's a powerful spiritual discipline that can break dependencies and create freedom in your Christian walk. When we're too full of ourselves, our flesh, and our selfish desires, fasting teaches us to say no to self while saying yes to God. By partnering fasting with prayer, we unplug from worldly distractions and tune into God's frequency. This practice helps break underlying dependencies and creates space for God to work in our lives. Whether fasting from food, social media, or other habits, the goal is shifting our dependency from ourselves to God and experiencing true spiritual freedom.

Financial stress affects nearly every household in America, including Christians who find themselves trapped in financial bondage despite their spiritual freedom. With average household debt at 130% of yearly income and 59% of families living paycheck to paycheck, many believers are enslaved by money rather than using it as a tool for God's kingdom. The Bible warns that the borrower becomes a slave to the lender, and our consumer culture traps us by convincing us that possessions equal self-worth. True financial freedom isn't about how much you make but how much you owe, and it requires renewing your mind through determination, devotion to God as the true owner of everything, and discipline through the Holy Spirit's help.

Among other things, it would require disclosures, and mandate supervision and fact-checking by actual human editors. It received a hearty endorsement from journalism industry unions. But there's a lot of catching up to do to reign in the robots.

Many Christians live saved but not free, like birds in open cages who refuse to fly. True freedom comes through knowing God's truth, which reveals sin's destructiveness, Christ's power, and our identity as more than conquerors. While salvation opens the cage door, walking in freedom requires three deliberate choices: deciding to live free, declaring biblical truth about ourselves, and departing from old patterns. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in believers, making complete freedom possible. Yet many resist this freedom due to blindness to their bondage, comfort in familiar patterns, or confusion between religion and relationship with Christ.

Paul reminds us in Ephesians 3:20-21 that God is able to do above and beyond all we ask or think. Nothing in your life takes God by surprise - He operates on a completely different level than we do. There's power in asking God questions rather than just making statements in prayer. When we ask questions, we demonstrate faith and create intimacy with God. Sometimes we don't ask because we lack confidence in God's ability or fear His answer. Remember what God has already done in your life to build confidence for present prayers.

True worship extends far beyond Sunday morning singing or church attendance. According to Romans 12:1, biblical worship means presenting our bodies as living sacrifices to God in response to His mercies. This involves offering our entire being - thoughts, actions, and daily choices - as continuous acts of worship. True worship is a family experience among believers, begins by recognizing God's abundant mercies, and requires actively surrendering ourselves to Him. Rather than being limited to emotional responses or religious activities, authentic worship is a lifestyle of daily surrender where every moment becomes an opportunity to honor God with how we live.

In Numbers 32, two and a half tribes of Israel chose to settle for less than God's best, staying in familiar territory instead of entering the Promised Land. They chose their cattle over Canaan, representing how we often choose comfort over God's calling. The cattle in our lives might be jobs, relationships, money, or anything familiar that keeps us from pursuing God's abundant plan. When we settle for good enough instead of God's best, we not only limit ourselves but also impact future generations. God calls us to cross over from the wilderness of mediocrity into the promised land of supernatural living, where His presence and power transform ordinary life into extraordinary purpose.

Many Christians focus on church attendance and involvement but lack a foundational element: personal devotion with God. True devotion involves spending consistent time with God through Bible reading and prayer, just as any relationship deepens through time invested. The Bereans provide an excellent example by examining Scripture daily with eagerness and scrutiny. Effective Bible reading requires a study Bible, distraction-free environment, and focusing on quality over quantity. Prayer follows a three-part method from Matthew 6: acknowledge God as Father, align with His will, then appeal with your needs. Starting with just 10-15 minutes daily can transform your spiritual foundation and maturity.

Many Christians struggle with church commitment, but being connected to a local church is essential for spiritual growth. The enemy actively fights against church involvement because committed believers become powerful soldiers in God's army. Missing church can easily become a habit that causes you to miss divine appointments and God's movement. To break this pattern, get involved through serving rather than just attending, and build encouraging relationships with other believers. As we approach the end times, church commitment becomes even more critical for spiritual strength and community support.

True faith in Jesus is transformational and cannot be hidden. It's more than a simple prayer or one-time decision—it's a life built on the solid foundation of Christ.
