Colleen and Colleen share real life stories, motivating insights & helpful tips that will inspire you to live a kinder and happier life.
For the past 8+ years, we have poured all of our energy into starting starting and building a business on the backbone of our passion to live kind lives and spread kindness wherever we can. For the past few months we have taken a step back to reevaluate our "why" without even really discussing it. And we have decided that our lives are simply better when we focus on the things that bring us joy, teach us lessons, and encourage us to be as kind as humanly possible. We are BACK! And we are going to balance being moms and women with doing what we do best together (long distance): have conversations that inspire us to do better and be better. We hope you'll tune in, and stay tuned, too! EVERYKIND: https://EVERYKIND.com

But just like that, they've done it again! ENCANTO!!!!! We love it so much we decided to break it down for you. There are so many lessons to be learned and discussed, so many relatable characters, and to top it off... the music gets A ZILLION STARS/five. Post new year celebrations, we reflected on the things we focused on this past year, and how everything relates to our vision and mission to make the world a better place. It starts with us. It starts with you. It starts with intention and believing in oneself to improve as a whole. And "it" starts whenever you want your 525,600 minutes to begin again. It has been a while since we have recorded an episode. But we went ahead and recorded a conversation yesterday and for us, the timing is perfect. If the title of this episode is any indicator, it's all about how are spending our time to plan for and improve our futures. We are each on our own self discovery journey, writing our own chapters that make up the book of our lives. The question is... what have you learned/are you learning/do you plan on learning to help yourself become a better version of you? Tune in and hear our thoughts on the topic! It's been a while! Today's episode contains material pertaining to suicidal thoughts and OCD. Please be advised that if these topics are a trigger for you, you may want to postpone listening. That being said, it is jam packed with amazing takeaways from a really real story, and we know that whoever listens will be forever changed for the better. Erin did not deny the fact that she should get a little help when certain thoughts and feelings became hard to not think and feel. Looking back she would say that from the first time she realized that she was lost or confused about who she was, it has been the small steps she has taken that have made the biggest difference. When serious thoughts led to planning how her life would end, Erin's roommate convinced her to get the help she needed. It might have been the biggest step she took to heal, but it most certainly wasn't the only. Tune in today to be inspired by someone else's struggle, overshadowed by her triumph. The concept for this design was born when we knew we wanted to make a shirt about #neversaynever, but we knew we needed something to make it "fly". We all know that pigs don't have wings, but that doesn't mean we can't aid their flying efforts, right? This little brainstorm lent itself to the topic and so after lots of scribbles and back and forths, our sweet little pig hoisted by a balloon was born! NEVER SAY NEVER, friends! But so much has happened since then and we could not WAIT to let her inspire us and you again today with all of her updates. The last time we spoke, Chellsie was “dabbling” with the idea of competing again. And low and behold! She decided to go for it! This time around, her fan club is being led by her husband and their two children, ages 3 and 6, sporting T-shirts reading, “Chell, yeah!” She has encouraged SO many people to continue doing what they love and not set limits for themselves, proving that: THE LIMIT DOES NOT EXIST! When we make assumptions, we tell ourselves that something is true without any real evidence that it is. Is making a guess about someone or something worth the risk that we may be wrong? Is it worth ruining a friendship over? When we begin to make assumptions about how other people think or feel, we automatically eliminate what might have been a good conversation where we learn another viewpoint and come to an understanding. Let's try to make fewer assumptions, shall we? And if we can't see eye to eye... let's start with heart to heart. Tune in to be inspired! On one hand, fear holds us back from doing so many things that we really want to do. On the other hand, there’s something to be said for being smart and thinking things through and feeling scared, but really just being rational. We think there is a happy medium between healthy fear and unhealthy fear, and in it lies the secret to going after what you really want and achieving happiness. Tune in to today's episode to hear our insights, and why we think it's important to ask ourselves certain questions when the only thing between us and the stars (or our dreams) is fear. He didn't hit the bottom of the pool. He hit the water. Incorrectly. And just like that, everything changed. We all want peace and harmony. But the thing is…. EVERYBODY IS DIFFERENT. Which we think is the coolest thing about HUMANITY. It is our differences that make us who we are, but it also makes it a little harder to get along when our differences divide us. Everybody thinks differently and learns different things and feels a different way. So what that leaves us with is all these different people from all walks of life all over the world, and a gap of hot lava in the middle. Metaphorically, of course. And it's on us to bridge the gap! Tune in to learn more than you bargained for about how to accomplish this, and let's make the world better together! Judy Greenfeld did her undergraduate work at the University of Arizona and received her Cantorial ordination, as well as a Master’s Degree, in Jewish Sacred Music from the Academy for Jewish Religion. After working as a Cantor at several traditional temples, Greenfeld established "Nachshon Minyan." Several years after her ordination as a Cantor, she returned to the Seminary to become a Rabbi as well. On today's episode we talk about the inspiration behind our original HUMAN design, talk about the new design, and how why this single, simple word is so important to us. Though our differences may be the only thing we see sometimes, we need to remember that at the end of the day we are all the same. We all have feelings and we all deserve to be loved & respected. We often forget to treat others how we want to be treated. The things that make us different make us WHO we are. But no matter who we are, what we do, what we don’t do, what we choose to do, what we can’t do, what we excel at, what we get, what we don’t get etc…. we are ALL HUMAN. Join us and gain some practical tips for living by the golden rule! On today's episode of You Fit Here we talk about how much we have learned to love learning. We believe it is our duty to share what we have learned and use this platform as an opportunity to do so. Things in the world today are really really heavy: A lot of us are being weighed down with new information, old information that's new to us, and many of us are learning enough to know that we are growing and changing. But that doesn't mean that we can't be kind to those who don't share our same thoughts, beliefs, or values. If anything, we should be more accepting, open minded, and understanding! Tune in to hear more on this topic! EPISODE SHOW NOTESYOU FIT HERE INSTAGRAMSHOP EVERYKIND
