Reporter Cara McGoogan investigates shocking claims of bullying, sexual harassment and violence within the ranks of the police towards female officers. When the revelations about toxic behaviour at Charing Cross Police Station emerged, including WhatsApp messages boasting of graphic sexual violence against female police, officers up and down the country would have been deleting their messaging history. So says an ex-officer who has spoken to Cara McGoogan: “There'll be a lot of people worried about the information they've shared.” But the behaviour goes much deeper than WhatsApp messages. Female officers tell Cara they have been bullied, harassed, emotionally abused and sexually assaulted - all at the hands of their colleagues. They paint a picture of a broken system - victims are punished, perpetrators promoted. As Cara's investigation deepens, more and more women approach her from inside the police, Some, having won sex discrimination complaints, feel free to speak openly. Others feel intimidated, too fearful of reprisals and revenge. Disloyalty is often punished, “career suicide” says an anonymous speaker. Others say the police operate like a gang, protecting their own and pushing out women who ‘grass'. Sue Fish, former chief constable at Nottinghamshire Police, strongly disputes the defence of a few ‘bad apples'. So are the police guilty of institutional misogyny - and a cover-up? Cara Lunsford began her nurse career in pediatric oncology at Children's Hospital Los Angeles in 2008. She first discovered an interest in oncology when she worked as a sign language interpreter at Cal State Northridge, interpreting the Biology of Cancer class two semesters in a row. It was that class that put her on her path to become a nurse. As a nurse she witnessed, and experienced first hand, the level of burnout that was happening in the profession. She worked with her co-workers to create the first Supportive Care Committee aimed at providing a safe and supportive place for caregivers to cope with the stress of their job. Life eventually took Cara into a variety of other nurse professions, including home health, infusion nursing, hospice, private duty and a Director of Nursing role at a concierge home health in Los Angeles. With a wide variety of experience under her belt, she noticed that there were many pain points in the industry; nurses were in need of a supportive community and companies needed help with retention and recruiting. As Cara was driving to see one of her many home health patients, an idea came to her: a piece of technology that would not only improve retention and recruiting efforts for healthcare companies but would also create a supportive community for nurses. On this day, HOLLIBLU was born. A company that is dedicated to building a vibrant community where nurses THRIVE, because when nurses thrive, so does the industry in which they serve.

Cara North is a learning experience designer at THE Ohio State University and the President of the Central Ohio Chapter of the Association for Talent Development. However, I did not invite her to be a guest on this podcast because of her day job. I invited her to be a guest because, as she says, "I love connecting others to people and opportunities." She loves networking, making connections, and creating opportunities – and I know that is a big fear for a lot of people, but it’s also a necessary part of being a lifelong learning and, increasingly, growing your career. As Cara says, “If you work with me, you don't just get me – you get my network.” That's an extremely valuable thing you can offer employers and clients, and it’s a resource that will only get more valuable over time. “We're all in this together, we all want to do better, everybody wants to feel valued, everybody wants to be respected, and I feel like collaboration is the best way to do that.” So, why do so many people hate the word networking? I blame it on most people’s mothers, and then most people laugh at me. But what did your mother always tell you? Never talk to strangers! And when most of us think about networking, we think of talking to a group of strangers. But a stranger is somebody with a bottle of Mogen David at the Ohio Stadium looking at a lamp post going, "Oh, you're awfully tall." That's a stranger. But in a business environment, people that we don't know are opportunities. You don’t even have to get face-to-face with real people to get started! One of Cara’s mentors, Mike Taylor, once said during a presentation that Twitter is the number one professional development tool. She signed up for Twitter during his presentation and, fast forward to 2019, she uses Twitter daily to talk to people all across the world that do the work and have the same challenges that she does. “And I feel like, especially since I've been more networked, that my depth of knowledge has expanded more than somebody that has been doing the same old thing for five years or ten years because it's so important to me, and so important for your growth, to constantly be getting feedback.” People that embrace that growth mindset won’t just have a better network – they’ll be better positioned over the next 10 to 15 years, as our workplaces evolve. “You're going to have to have a growth mindset to stay malleable and employable,” and that’s true in pretty much every industry, but it is especially true for CPAs. As we’ve mentioned before, CPAs will need more than just technical skills to thrive in the coming years. So what are your next steps in becoming a better networker? Is it changing your mindset? Is it not sitting or standing with your office friends and meeting new people? Is it breaking through your shyness and comfort zone to explore possibilities? What do you need to do? And where could you get out of your comfort zone? I challenge you to start by just taking 10 minutes, writing down some ideas – But the key here is follow through. Whatever you come up with, just do it! Resources:Twitter: https://twitter.com/caranorth11LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/caranorth11/ Learn more about your ad choices. NSFW Body awareness, Sensuality, and open conversations Cara Judea Alhadeff has no problems with her own natural human form. We discuss how she came to teaching naked yoga classes on such a public forum, female body issues and discovery. In this interview with Cara Judea Alhadeff, we get down to exactly how we came to know each other and delve deep into the issues that should be naturally important to us as a society. If you are familiar with the earlier interview with Cara Judea Alhadeff then you understand that our coming together was due in part from me studying a naked yoga video in which she was the teacher. watching Cara instruct the naked yoga school class for prenatal, natal Yoga and everyday yoga for people who are unrestrained by clothing it became very apparent to me that this was no ordinary person. Making Contact Initially upon contacting Cara I was a little apprehensive because we live in a creepy kind of world today when it comes to the human body we just can't accept each other for our basic human formed from which we came into the Earth with. regardless there was something drawing me to this human and I had to make contact just to see if what I was feeling about this individual was true that she is a free Dynamic person who is untethered by the Norms of our society. Living Her Life, influencing the world Cara has made a conscious decision to live Her life in a specific mode. As Cara puts it she doesn't want to be a petroleum parent or petroleum person, that being a person who is just stuck in this capitalistic materialistic world for which we find ourselves in the Industrialized Nations. Upon doing some research I found that she is a Ph.D. photographer, social activist and a very conscious human being about her body her mind her soul and the planet. During our most recent conversation, we touched upon a great many topics such as nudity, Female ejaculation, photography, art, and a whole host of other topics and her works. There is only so much I can put into words on this blog post to prep you for our conversation as our conversation could have gone for hours. The limitations and understanding the time constraints of the podcast audience, we kept it to about an hour. in my opinion, I believe that our conversation is suited to bolster the feminine on this planet but it doesn't good for men as well to help men understand some of the ideologies that have been historically pressed upon the society and has hampered much of our human freedoms. Name your Kryptonite. Then let it go. Kryptonite is a fictional substance best known as SuperMan’s weakness. It's a special rock that, when held, makes his eyes blurry and knees buckle. In the latest episode of The Higherside Chats, Greg Carlwood hosts returning guest Cara St. Louis. On her previous appearance, she outlined the details of the new chronology, the missing time phenomenon, the mind weapon we call the Prussian Education System and the dumbing down it facilitates. As Cara looked deeper into the narrative of history, missing time and those who question it, she found more than enough meat on those bones and set out on her new venture: a series of episodic titles she calls The Workbook. Join them as they go for the conspiratorial one-two punch of the highest order as we explore Missing time and the New Chronology. 4:00 Greg and Cara begin by giving some context on the New Chronology. Cara details her path of initiation starting with the work of Sylvie' Ivanowa and leading to Russian astronomer and mathematician,Anatoly Fomenko. Cara explains that the timeline used by today's elite, contributes to the justification of things such as wars and the rising of certain dynastic families. Using astronomical events, such as the cycles of the moon, movements of the planets and eclipses, we are able to see the manipulation of humankind's understanding of history. 11:30 Knowing our current timeline may be completely inaccurate, Greg and Cara discuss the ways in which establishments such as the Catholic church were capable of altering the dates of history to fit their desired paradigm. Cara contends Jesuits scholars Scaliger and his contemporary Dionysius Petavias, with the help of Benedictine monks, at the will of the Vatican, and against all history fiction or science rewrote chronology to pre-date the existence of Christianity. Further illustrating her point, Cara also explains that all astronomical evidence dates Jesus' period of existence to Medieval times, which gravely affects our current chronology. 15:00 Digging deeper into the Jesuit's brutal involvement in the Prussian education system, Cara briefly lays out the bullet points and a few keys players from along the way, including Pope Pius X. 24:42 Greg and Cara continue to put a point on the finer details of the key figures involved in altering the timeline. One such contributing character was none other than esteemed mathematician, astronomer and physicist, Isaac Newton. 28:00 Cara makes the case against the flat earth theory by contending that it discredits traditional astronomy. 29:45 Greg and Cara examine the work of Ivanowa involving the decedents of Atlantis whom she refers to as "the Survivors". Known as the keepers of the peace, the Survivors imparted knowledge to the indigenous people who in turn used their culture of oral storytelling to spread this knowledge for generations. Cara details the what she believes to be a critical moment in the lost history, the Battle of Moytura, a literal fairy tale taking place in Ireland. 38:00 Cara continues to detail her path of research for listeners. As a self-identified Faye, Cara believes the Faye exist in a different way. Cara outlines her theory, stating the Faye have been and may still be an extra-terrestrial race, as well as existing intra–dimensionally. Listen as Cara and Greg discuss the tumultuous relationship between the Faye and Drakos. 46:00 The scope of the human mind is endless. With the recent calls to creative types from CERN, Cara elaborates on the theory they may be attempting to harness the imagination to control and disrupt the morphogenetic field. 51:00 Listen as Cara describes the current landscape of terror, anxiety and fear being used to manipulate, weaken and control the population. 58:40 Greg and Cara continue to trace missing time conspiracy and this alternative history through the rule of Nero in Rome. With disparities in the timeline becoming more evident as we narrow in on details of history, Cara explains the fallacies in our current understanding of history. 1:03:20 Greg and Cara continue their discussion by tackling the Phantom time hy...
