After a fight with her husband, Carolyn Killaby disappears from a Vancouver, Washington bar late one November night in 1995. Witness reports, a found car, and traces of blood lead investigators to suspect Dennis Smith, a man with a violent past. The investigation used early DNA testing, a manhunt and a televised tip to capture Smith, who was later convicted and sentenced to life. When studying at UWG, Trey was awarded an US Army scholarship while a ROTC cadet and was inducted into two honor societies, Pi Gamma Mu and Omicron Delta Kappa.In 1987, Trey completed his bachelor's degree in psychology and was also awarded a minor in anthropology. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the US Army and branched as Military Intelligence.After college Trey worked as a private investigator investigating insurance fraud and also attended the Army Intelligence Officers Basic Course at Ft. Huachuca, AZ. In the Spring of 1988 he was certified as an All source Intelligence Officer (35D). He was assigned to the 372nd Military Intelligence Detachment and then the 337th Tactical Exploitation Battalion, both in the Army Reserves. An injury ended Trey's military career and he is now a disabled veteran.In 1989 Trey entered Federal Government service as a Security Specialist. UFO abduction accounts of grey aliens taking people from their homes and examining them in their spaceships started becoming typical after the publication in 1981 of Budd Hopkins's book Missing Time. However, there is an early account with these elements in the 1977 book Abducted!: Confrontations With Beings From Outer Space by the founders of the Aerial Phenomena Research Organization, Coral and Jim Lorenzen. The case was investigated by APRO Field Investigator Kevin Randle and APRO Consultant and Director of Research Dr. James Harder. Years later, Randle presented his thoughts on the case, which provide some insight into how the typical UFO abduction narrative might have evolved. Tonight, we're joined by Steven from New York State, who's had more than his share of strange encounters. One unforgettable night during his teenage years, a quiet swim with a friend turned surreal when a blinding light and a deep, vibrating hum descended above their pool, leaving the boys in stunned silence. Later in life, Steven witnessed a truly massive, flat-bottomed craft drifting silently over his neighborhood. It was a moment of awe, quickly followed by disbelief from others… until a friend independently confirmed seeing the same UFO just miles away, describing it in exact detail. But Steven's experiences go far beyond traditional sightings. In 1986, a weekend trip to a lakeside cottage took a bizarre turn when two men revealed that their friend “BILL” wasn't from Earth.
