We have seen Trump follow through on threats against late night hosts in the past, so this isn't a statement we should dismiss. Americans are going without their SNAP benefits this week, meaning that millions of adults and children might not have food this week as the government shutdown drags on. But instead of helping those in need, the Trump administration has decided to invest money in creating a spoof MySpace website to mock Democrats. THIS is how they choose to spend their time as the people who put them in power struggle to put food on the table. This should be in every single attack ad from now until the 2028 presidential elections.CBS did for Trump what Trump claimed the network did for Vice President Kamala Harris. Donald Trump's 60 Minutes interview that aired on Sunday evening was highly edited to cut out some of his more insane rants and claims, making the president appear far more coherent and rational than he actually is. This is EXACTLY what Trump sued the network for and he got millions of dollars from them in the process. Democrats need to follow suit and set an example that they won't let this go unpunished. We have heard Republican politicians tell us for decades that the federal government is bad and that the individual states should handle everything from education to disaster relief because they were better equipped for that. All of these "the states do it better" talking points were lies, and we're watching those lies unravel in real time as most states admit that they can't handle the burden of people going hungry as SNAP benefits dry up. Degens Andy S and Brandon Bombay decided to bring their degenerate sensibilities to a kids classic as they discussed 'Goonies.' Andy starts with a bang as he remembers playing around with dynamite like the gang uses in the film, but the results were far more frightening than what was depicted on screen. Then the boys talk about a movie that found the perfect '80s alchemy, and is so steeped in nostalgia it seems slightly AI-created. First they tackle the tough subjects, such as 60% of the film's runtime revolving around ripping on Chunk being overweight, and Sloth being mentally challenged. In the case of Chunk the on-camera shaming seemed to work as the real life actor went on to become a major player in Hollywood. It wasn't only those characters who had it rough, but Andy makes a case for the Fratelli family, who besides their murderous traits are just your typical Long Island crew. Bombay recalls the movie inspiring him and friends to go on an underground adventure in the sewers, and how it was far more harrowing than this Richard Donner-directed flick made it appear. Basically the episode devolves into the guys confessing all their sins just like Chunk being interrogated, except with less stories about pouring puke on people at the theater. By the end of the ep you'll find yourself doing the Truffle Shuffle.
