Postponed from last week: WGTD News Director Dave McGrath talks about his first novel, "24 Hours from Tulsa," which tells the fictitious backstory behind one of Gene Pitney's greatest hits. The book is a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at pop music in the 1960s. Although the book is a work of fiction, it springs in large measure from Dave McGrath's working relationship with Gene Pitney over the course of many years. Pitney figures prominently in the novel.

The President has visited the Wisconsin city of Kenosha after days of protests following the shooting of an unarmed African American man by a police officer. The White House says the visit would be 'unifying', but local officials, including Wisconsin's governor and the city's mayor, asked the President to stay away to allow the city time to "heal". Trump ignored their pleas as he pushed a strong "law and order" message ahead of November's election. Days of protests and unrest had broken out in the city after Jacob Blake was shot seven times in the back. Dave McGrath is from WGTD Radio in Kenosha. He's been following the President and speaks to Susie Ferguson.

Daytona Beach, FL (November 05, 2014) - David McGrath has a broad background in the sport of motorcycle road racing in America. Prior to coming on board with AMA Pro Racing as the road race director and later as the SeniorDirector of Competition, McGrath accomplished much. He was a rider/racer for a number of years before hanging up his leathers in 1999 and then used his experience to help others. He spent time at Vance and Hines as director of R & D, worked with Dunlop in tire development and also served eight years with American Honda in R & D development as well as Crew Chief. Coming on board at AMA Pro in 2010 just two weeks before the Daytona 200 was a big undertaking that ultimately led to him becoming the Senior Director of Competition.   Now that AMA Pro Racing no longer sanctions road racing, McGrath, along with several other key staff, has been released from his position from the road racing side.    McGrath will  discuss the past, present and future of road racing in America from his unique vantage point. We look at the various decisions made along the way that were both good and bad for the sport that he loves.
