One of the Administration's primary goals with the tariff wars seems to be onshoring production jobs. Intuitively, that makes sense. More jobs are almost always better than fewer. However, are these the types of jobs the American economy actually needs and the American workers actually wants? Further, what is the likelihood companies make drastic shifts in their production facilities, understanding President Trump will be gone in less than 4 years? These are great questions which need real answers. In this week's Trading Perspectives, Sam Clement, John Norris and special guest David McGrath discuss the potential for more manufacturing jobs in the economy and wonder whether they are worth the pain.
True Crime Tuesday presents Obsessed: Finding Justice For The Lost Boys Of New England with Investigator/Author, David McGrath! In the tranquil towns of New England during the 1970s, a sinister mystery unfolded when several boys vanished without a trace and the community's peace was shattered. With law enforcement stymied in its search for answers, whispers of a possible serial killer surfaced, especially after one boy's body was found years after his disappearance. But what happened to the others remained a heart-wrenching puzzle. In 2013, author David McGrath, a former host on the Law Enforcement Today Network and an investigator with a relentless drive for justice, watched a documentary about the cold case investigation regarding the missing boys. Himself a survivor of childhood sexual abuse and active in his local community with a sex abuse therapy group, McGrath was struck by the number of unanswered questions in the documentary. What followed, beginning in January 2014, was a five-year quest to find the answers to this child abduction and murder mystery. Traveling all over the United States, he uncovered a labyrinth of dark secrets just beneath the surface and unknown to most residents of the bucolic communities from which the boys disappeared. Haunted by his own past, he had to navigate these dark waters if he wanted to bring truth and justice to the victims and their families. OBSESSED: A Survivor's Quest To Find The Lost Boys of New England is McGrath's riveting true crime memoir. A poignant, horrifying, incredible story of suspense, courage, and the unyielding quest for truth.* David joins today's TCT to talk about the pedophiles he pursued in this case, some of the unfortunate victims, and the history of the area. Welcome back to Season 2 of The Kriya Yoga Podcast. Kriya Yoga teacher and psychoanalyst David McGrath (https://www.davidmcgrath.ie/) and I explore the benefits of counseling and psychotherapy as a way to accelerate one's spiritual growth process. Over the last 25 years, I have had significant shifts in capacity for meditation by engaging with a counselor, when needed, to help address psychological blind spots and complexes, and have seen outstanding progress in students of Kriya Yoga who remained steady in their meditation practice and supplemented their spiritual growth procedures with effective guidance from a skilled psychological professional. If you have been practicing for a while, and are curious why your spiritual awareness is not deepening or expanding, the topic of this podcast could make a big difference in your appreciation of the spiritual path. In this discussion we talk about my own experiences moving through difficult internal dynamics as well as the difficulty finding a helpful guide on the path to psychological harmony. Yogananda was known to have said that 90% of the spiritual battle is psychological, and after that, it tends to take care of itself. In the Bhagavad Gita, the allegory is one of profound inner growth and resolving the tendencies of confusion, doubt, fear, etc. For those on an advanced path to spiritual realization, consideration of the themes within this podcast will be of great benefit. You can also explore episode #95 from season 1, Healing Blockages of the Heart Chakra to deepen your understanding of this discussion. Your host, Ryan Kurczak, is a Kriya Yoga meditation teacher and author. He was authorized to teach Kriya Yoga in 2005, by Roy Eugene Davis, a direct student of Paramahansa Yogananda. Val and Faith are in the studio today to celebrate May Day with stories of the bicycle and it's crucial role in organising workers in Australia at the turn of the nineteenth century. After sharing our bike moments we dive right in!Val kicks off with first May Day celebrations in the world here in Australia in 1891. We take a look at when shearers fought for their rights. and the impact of the bicycle on shearer's work and organising later inthe 1890s as it allowed them to travel across long distances for work and became integral to their bargaining with employers. The Australian Worker's Union found the bicycle so useful for reaching and organising workers they developed their own bicycle corps to do just that. The role of the bicycle in building a network and recruting members continued into the C20th when Frank Anstey and David McGrath, then two young Labor MPs, toured Gippsland by bike in November 1904. Over twenty-two days with speaking events organised in eleven towns they recruited members for the Labourite League, harranged pastoralists and talked to farmers and miners in particluar about their ideas. On their fixed gear bicycles with swags slung over their shoulders they rode the notorious roads of the High Country from Rutherglen and Wodonga via Tallangatta, Mitta Mitta and Omeo to Bairnsdale. You can read a contemporary account of their journey here

In an incredible 6-year investigation, True crime writer and investigative journalist David McGrath tells the unbelievable story of one of the most prolific predators in American history. Wayne Chapman admitted to abusing 100 children over a 8-year span from 1967-76. What the world could never have known is that Chapman did not act alone. He worked in concert with other serial predators unbeknownst to parents and law enforcement. Chapman was suspected in multiple child murders, and was a completely fixated abuser. McGrath lifts the veil on Wayne Chapman, and a child sex-ring that operated in the area at the time, in this incredible true story. MONSTER: The Life and Crimes of Wayne Chapman-David McGrath
True Crime Tuesday reveals a Monster: The Life & Crimes of Wayne Chapman with guest David McGrath Wayne Chapman has admitted to molesting up to 100 boys across multiple states and remains a suspect in the 1976 disappearance of a 10-year-old Lawrence, MA boy. The term Monster is thrown around sometimes too generally but in describing Wayne Chapman it fits, and yet still, it feels like it only scratches the surface of what he truly is. From early onset attraction, manipulation and molestation to a much larger, darker and terrifyingly complex web of predators, Wayne Chapman is among the most terrifying...and worse yet, he is back out, among the population. David McGrath, a forensics investigator has spent 7 years on his obsession to understand this monster and uncover his hidden past. Through multiple interviews and recollections of eyewitnesses and survivors to court transcripts to a face to face encounter, McGrath takes us into the dark with no promise of light at the end of this tunnel. It is a revealing and horrifying look at someone born a monster, not groomed, abused or mistreated, from the day he was born, Wayne Chapman was evil. David McGrath does not mince words when describing Lloyd Austin, Mark Milly, and what is called the “Military-Industrial Complex.” Austin and Milley, he said, are not bright generals and have no real connection to wars other than making money. The more boots on the ground for these generals, the more money they make. The military veteran, who was stationed in Kabul, said...

The Ohio State University Center for Innovation Strategies has an incredible program called OnRamp, which is a corporate innovation idea accelerator driven by innovative students. Given initial concepts generated by a sponsor, a group of students conduct customer validation and innovation techniques over a multi-week program to result in out-of-the-box solutions. This gives students from any area of the school an opportunity to experience what it’s like to work within a Lean Startup environment, working collaboratively with other students and a corporate sponsor to solve real-world problems. And today, we’re going to talk to three students who either have participated in or are currently participating in OnRamp: Drew Mayerson, a fourth-year scholar student at Ohio State, who is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration through the Max Fisher College of Business and OnRamp graduate. Szofi Wiksell, a sophomore at the Ohio State University with a double major in marketing and public policy, who is currently in the middle of the program. David McGrath, who is currently studying finance at OSU and participated in the program a couple years ago.
