Is Keisean Nixon competing for his starting cornerback job? Based on the last two practices, the answer appears to be "yes." Nixon continues to rotate with free-agent signing Benjamin St-Juste between the first-team and second-team defense. Meanwhile, rookie Brandon Cisse has stuck with the "ones" each of the past two days. Marques talks about the cornerback room, as well as the uncertainty on the offensive line -- with Anthony Belton off to a slow start this summer. Javon Bullard missed Monday's practice, but doesn't sound concerned about his foot injury, which he called a bone bruise.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Boas escutas!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Zest has been nominated for Best Podcast. Vote here! This summer, we're checking in with some past Zest guests. Marques Clark grew up in South St. Petersburg, in a neighborhood considered to be a food desert. He went on to study culinary arts and as an adult founded the nonprofit YES CHEF Village. Dalia first spoke with Chef Marques when he visited the WUSF studio in 2024. She caught up with him again in June 2026 and shared the updates with our colleague Matthew Peddie on Florida Matters Live & Local.
Keisean Nixon returned to practice, while Matthew Golden had a big day for the offense, and Javon Bullard made a big play on defense. Plus, linebacker Zaire Franklin has already made a positive first impression both on the field and in the locker room. Meanwhile, Marques tried to get to the bottom of the story behind Tucker Kraft and the City of Green Bay's Sanitary Waste System after Kraft's tweet on June 30th sparked a lot of speculation.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
This month on The Cisco AI Insights Podcast, hosts Rafael Herrera and Sónia Marques are joined by Cisco software engineer João Costa to explore Andrej Karpathy's GitHub Gist on the LLM wiki pattern concept. It imagines how Large Language Models can move beyond one-off chat sessions and help build a persistent, interconnected knowledge base that grows and improves over time. The conversation examines how an LLM wiki turns raw sources such as meeting transcripts, research papers, websites, and project notes into structured markdown pages with cross-links between related concepts, creating something closer to a living digital brain than a static document store. João explains how tools like Obsidian can provide a clear window into this knowledge graph, while the LLM acts as a scribe that summarizes, curates, connects, and updates information for personal productivity, software development, research, and collaborative work. The episode also highlights the importance of linting, the ongoing process of detecting contradictions, removing stale details, and reducing hallucinated information before it spreads through the wider knowledge base.

Rowling quote that shaped his outlook, rock bottom is the moment that rebuilt my life, and the parallel of Rowling writing Harry Potter while living in her car Marques' journey into professional speaking, starting in September 2013 and going two and a half years before his first paid engagement in April 2016 Meeting Mel Robbins in 2018, getting coached, learning the business, and going on to work with more than ninety Fortune 500 companies Becoming a six time best selling author, with a seventh book, Built From The Storm, The Bison Operating System, currently in progress The Bison mindset, a leadership framework built around being bold, having integrity, practicing self awareness, taking ownership, and never quitting Why bison move as a herd through a storm, protecting the weaker, older, and younger members while the strong and bold face the brunt of the storm, and what that teaches us about leadership and community The idea of purpose driven leadership, and why this phase of Marques' life feels more meaningful to him than football or business ever did Julie's own story of rock bottom during her divorce, and the parallels between her journey and Marques' story of resilience The importance of authenticity and vulnerability in leadership, and why judgment should never stop anyone from telling their real story A favorite quote from Franklin Delano Roosevelt, smooth seas never made skilled sailors, and what it means to grow through hardship rather than ease This conversation is filled with ingredients for success, insight on resilience, and encouragement for anyone facing their own storm right now. If you are stuck in a Sauvignon Blanc rut, then Verdejo is here to come to your rescue. This great white wine from Rueda Spain is very similar to Sauvignon Blanc, in fact it is sometimes called the “love child” between Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio, and it combines many of the wonderful tropical fruit and citrus smells and flavors of Sauv Blanc with just a bit more mouthfeel. This is a lovely wine from Spain's most important white wine region. Verdejo is a fantastic summer wine, great for sipping outdoors, and awesome with fish and shellfish, fried and salty foods, as well as chicken and charcuterie. It still flies a little under the radar, which is why now is the perfect time to be the one to introduce Verdejo to your family and friends and be considered the cool kid dropping wine knowledge! Finger-pointing is often a sign that team members do not have clear ownership of essential practice responsibilities. In this episode, Kirk Behrendt speaks with Charlene Marques, an ACT Dental coach, about using a function accountability chart to clarify roles, establish measurable accountability, and prevent important tasks from slipping through the cracks. You will learn how consistent reporting, scorecards, and one-on-one feedback can reduce conflict and help team members understand how to succeed in their roles. To create clearer ownership throughout your practice, listen to Episode 1071 of The Best Practices Show!Main Takeaways:Finger-pointing is usually a symptom of unclear ownership and accountability.A lack of clarity can cause missed follow-ups, aging insurance claims, unsigned treatment plans, ordering mistakes, and scheduling problems.Leaders often respond to unclear accountability by fixing problems themselves, double-checking work, and micromanaging team members.A function accountability chart defines the practice's major functions, the seats within each function, and the responsibilities assigned to each seat. The responsibilities of each seat should be defined before assigning a person to that seat.Scorecards and key performance indicators help teams identify whether a function is on track or off track.Regular one-on-one conversations provide timely feedback and allow leaders to coach team members throughout the year.Snippets:00:00 Intro02:00 Finger-pointing is a symptom of unclear ownership and accountability.04:17 Common language that reveals an ownership gap.05:00 Operational problems caused by unclear responsibilities.06:10 How practice leaders become fixers and micromanagers.08:21 The purpose of a function accountability chart.09:44 Why the person should be assigned to the seat last.11:00 Creating a consistent rhythm of reporting and feedback.12:00 Using a 90-day scorecard to track functional health.13:47 Tracking insurance aging and outstanding claims.15:24 Why annual performance reviews do not provide enough feedback.16:34 Structuring regular one-on-one check-ins.18:18 How consistent meetings build trust and develop leaders.19:24 Three requirements for reducing finger-pointing.20:21 Function accountability chart and scorecard resources.Guest Bio/Guest Resources:With over 20 years of experience in the administrative side of dentistry, Charlene has become a trusted coach and partner for dental practices looking to reach their full potential.
