The investigation continues into yesterday's plane crash in Toronto in which a Delta jet somehow flipped onto its roof after landing on an icy and windy runway. Incredibly all 80 passengers and the crew got out alive, thanks in no small part to some heroes on board. A number of passengers stepped up and worked with the flight crew to get everyone out safely. Keith Urban recently released a song called "Break the Chain". One aspect that makes this song unique is that it was written in just one sitting! Urban said that before He realized what was happening, He had burst into tears as He wrote about His difficult childhood and alcoholic father. He quickly recognized that He had repeated the pattern that was modeled to Him. The song was later recorded in just one take, with no redo. Despite the dark backstory, the song is about hope and breaking the chain of a destructive cycle. This process starts with recognizing the truth and confessing wrongdoing.

Madeline Merlo is a rising force in modern country, blending raw emotion with breathtaking vocals. A two-time CCMA award winner and 2024 nominee for Female Artist of the Year, her new EP One House Down (from the Girl Next Door) explores the emotional journey of a breakup, with each track representing a different room in a house. Produced by Zach Crowell and featuring Keith Urban’s guitar, the EP reflects Madeline’s unique ability to combine tenderness and power in her music. Known for writing Lady A’s three-week No. 1 hit “Champagne Night,” Madeline is a multi-platinum, award-winning songwriter whose work has earned her accolades like the CCMA Songwriter of the Year. Her music is deeply personal, written not only for herself but for others navigating love, loss, and self-discovery. “It’s my struggle through finding myself,” she says, “and I hope this project makes people feel heard, seen, and understood.” With a foundation of family support and a refreshing perspective on mental health, Madeline’s music is both a raw emotional release and a beacon of hope, showing that even in the toughest moments, we’re never truly alone.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
