Today on the podcast, I am having a very honest chat with Gordon Reid, a designer who runs his own design agency all about the realities of juggling his business and becoming a parent, but also just the general challenge of running your own business. I've had this sort of conversation a lot with women, but less so with men, and so I was really interested to dig in compare my experience. I'm so grateful for his willingness to be open and honest with me and not bat an eyelid when I asked him difficult questions! I love hearing how different people overcome various challenges to build businesses that they love so I hope you enjoy the chat as much as I did. Episode highlights: 08:37 Navigating Sleep Deprivation and Work 16:54 Balancing Childcare and Career 26:09 Invisible Labour and Gender Roles 30:23 Impact of Parenthood on Career and Business 38:15 Redefining Success and Industry Changes Don't forget to check out Gordon online and if you'd like to have a chat come find me on Instagram. Can't wait to connect with you. This episode was written and recorded by me and produced by Lucy Lucraft. If you enjoyed this episode please leave a 5* rating and review!

It was a summer to remember for Norfolk's Alfie Hewett after winning the Wimbledon singles title in July, he then won Paralympic doubles gold alongside his partner Gordon Reid in Paris last month. It's been a journey of highs and lows for the current world No.1 in both singles and doubles to reach this point, which he speaks about at length. Alfie has been a lifelong Norwich City fan and goes to all lengths to follow the club he loves even when competing in far-flung places across the world. But he has enjoyed watching the recent games at Carrow Road. ** Picture: PA *** You can also hear the Pink Un Podcast on Norwich's Community radio station, Future Radio 107.8FM. *** To get in touch with the podcast now and in future, send any comments and questions into the crew with an email to norfolksport@archant.co.uk or get in touch with us @pinkun on Twitter, where our direct messages are open. With the Rugby World Cup getting underway, we are joined by Ireland fan Patrick Mullarkey to look at some of the highlights from an excellent opening weekend, including a big win for hosts France and Ireland, England and Wales all opening their accounts. He also shares his thoughts on how the next stages of the tournament could play out. We discuss Novak Djokovic and Coco Gauff's wins in the US Open Tennis, as well as another title for Britain's Alfie Hewitt, who beat his doubles partner Gordon Reid in the men's wheelchair singles. And as the Rugby League season moves into it's final fortnight we look at the 3 teams tied at the top of the table, as well as the race for play off places and the relegation battle between the bottom two. The Great North Run saw the final professional race in the career of Sir Mo Farah, whilst in Mexico 11,000 of the 30,000 field were disqualified amidst accusations of people taking short cuts or riding bikes, cars and public transport to get to the finish. We really don't make this up! Following the flurry of cards and varying refereeing decisions in the first games of the World Cup, we encourage the match officials and World Rugby to get a grip and get more consistency in their decisions.

It may be summer holiday season, but the sporting drama doesn't take a break! We start with Tony & Andy's thoughts on their Washes road trip. Despite Australia retaining the urn it was a superb game and atmosphere, fitting of a series where the best two teams in the world have gone toe to toe. It was Wimbledon finals weekend, with new names added to both the men's and women's singles trophies. Brits Alfie Hewitt and Gordon Reid won their fifth wheelchair doubles title, Neil Skupski won the men's doubles and teenager Henry Searle claimed the men's junior title. We have a preview of the Women's Football World Cup that starts in New Zealand and Australia this week, with Tony highlighting some of the teams and players to look out for. We have our usual summary of Rugby League and Rugby Union- including the ridiculously lenient suspension for Ireland's Jonny Sexton- updates from the Tour de France, where a fan taking a selfie caused a 20-rider pile up, and a brilliant haul of medals for British athletes at the World Para-Athletics Championships. With the British Open Golf starting at Royal Liverpool this week, our guest is golf professional and friend of the show Andy wild. Andy shares with us his predictions for the tournament, as well as some of the great features of the course which competitors will need to conquer if they want to get their hands on the Claret Jug on Sunday.
In our final Wimbledon episode, Joel, Kim and Chris wrap up all the action from Finals weekend at SW19, which saw first time Wimbledon Champions Carlos Alcaraz and Marketa Vondrousova crowned. With Carlos Alcaraz defying Djokovic's bid for a record equalling 8th Title, and Marketa Vondrousova getting the better of a disappointing Ons Jabeur to become the first unseeded women's Wimbledon Champion in the Open Era, there is plenty to discuss.British success was also claimed by Neal Skupski as he added the Men's Doubles to his Slam collection, whilst Henry Searle wins the boys singles for the first time since 1962 and Gordon Reid and Alfie Hewett claim another Slam together. The trio also reveal the winner of the latest edition of Collect A Set after 5 contenders battled it out in a tiebreak.__________________BRODIES TENNIS INVITATIONALFor 10% off tickets to The Brodies, go to https://brodiesinvitational.com/tickets/ and use code WEEKLY10 at checkout.__________________Tweet us @TennisWeeklyPod or email the show here: tennisweeklypod@gmail.comFollow us on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and make sure to check out our website as well to get your full Tennis Weekly fix.**Please take a moment to rate and review the show on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or wherever you get your pods. In Episode 106 we kick off with Andy trying (unsuccessfully) to get tony to talk about Manchester City's Champions League win to secure the treble. He is, however, more willing to talk about West Ham's win in the Europa Conference final. Our Golf expert Andy Wild has sent in a preview of this weekend's US Open tournament in Los Angeles, along with his tips for the title and some scurrilous allegations about Tony & Andy's past! The Netball Super League finals took place at London's Copper Box, with Loughborough Lightning beating London Pulse 57-48, to go one better than their runners up spot last year. In Tennis, the French Open saw wins for Iga Swiatek in the women's final, and Novak Djokovic securing a record 23rd grand slam title in the men's. British pair Alfie Hewitt and Gordon Reid won the men's wheelchair doubles title. Our guest this week is friend of the show Andy McMenemy- who always brings great positivity and inspiration to the show. Andy talks about how he has had superb results in shifting weight he had gained, and shares the tactics he has used that don't require any fancy gym equipment or radical diets-but instead require a shift in mindset and just putting one foot in front of the other! A really inspirational discussion that all Null & Void listeners can take motivation from. Andy can be contacted on: https://www.facebook.com/AndyMcMenemyPeakPersonalPerformance/
