It's only been a few days since the last pod but so much has happened at Indian Wells for Catherine, David and Matt to get stuck into. Part one - ATP (00:00 - 40:17) It's been a thrilling week on the ATP side with the return of Jack Draper and Arthur Fils helping to reinvigorate the tour. We discuss Draper's epic win over Novak Djokovic and the technical tweaks which have helped Fils on his return. But will it still be a Carlos Alcaraz - Jannik Sinner final? There's chat about Alcaraz's absurd level against Casper Ruud and Sinner's steel in seeing off a fine performance from Joao Fonseca. Part two - WTA (40:18 - 1:11:48) The matches may not have quite lived up to expectations so far, but there's still been plenty of intrigue. We cover Iga Swiatek's perfect tactics against Karolina Muchova, Aryna Sabalenka displaying how she's evolved her game by beating Naomi Osaka handily, the impressive form of Jessica Pegula, Elena Rybakina and Victoria Mboko, and the worrying pattern of Mirra Andreeva losing her composure in matches. Part three - News (1:11:49 - 1:23:50). We react to reporting in The Athletic about how the ATP and Saudi Arabia plans to reshape the men's tennis calendar by going on a shopping spree and buying back tournament licenses. The former Top 15 player also examines the game's of Jack Draper and Novak Djokovic as they prepare to faceoff, and analyzing Arthur Fils' successful run at Tennis Paradise. Gambill also highlights what Elena Rybakina is doing even better in 2026, and how Aryna Sabalenka has evolved her already outstanding tennis arsenal. The broadcaster looks at Iga Swiatek's tailor-made style of play for the Indian Wells' conditions, and recaps Mirra Andreeva's outburst after falling to Katerina Siniakova. And Gambill explains why coaching is a vital necessity in pro tennis, even if not everyone believes it. Hosted by Mitch Michals. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.

Tennis broadcaster Candy Reid joins the podcast to recap her time covering the ATP tournament in Doha, where Carlos Alcaraz took home another title. Reid explains how Alcaraz was able to make quick-work of Arthur Fils in the final, and looks at how the World No. 1 continues to improve as he remains undefeated in 2026. The commentator also reacts to Jakub Mensik's upset win over Jannik Sinner, and analyzes what to make of Sinner's game after a lackluster performance in Doha. Reid also recaps Tomas Martin Etcheverry's first title in Rio that saw him play two matches in one day, and gives her take on the status of The Golden Swing. The broadcaster also discusses several stories from around the game, including Stefanos Tsitsipas' struggles, the dynamic between Andrey Rublev and Marat Safin, and the coaching free-agent that could be a huge addition to some perspective players. Tennis and Bagels solo time! My thoughts on how I see the season unfolding for the top players, especially those who made big at he Australian Open.A quick look into the overall progression of players from last year: who seems to be even better? Who has stagnated? Who's regressed?Alcaraz, Rybakina, Sabalenka are in my radar.I am starting to worry a little about Swiatek and Sinner.I personally continue to believe Zverev will never win a major title unless all the stars align - and he might even not be able to win it then.Comments? Calvin Betton is perfectly safe in Acapulco, James Gray is finally home and George Bellshaw is about to head off to India - but for now at least two of the Tennis Unfiltered gang are in the same timezone. Here are the stories they're talking about this week... - Carlos Alcaraz only needed 50 minutes to beat Arthur Fils and claim the 26th title of his young career in Doha - It extends his ranking lead over Jannik Sinner, after he came unstuck against Jakub Mensik in the quarter-finals - Jessica Pegula finally converted one of her semi-final appearances into a title, winning in Dubai (and proving Calvin right) - She beat Elina Svitolina, who spent three hours eliminating Coco Gauff, who in turn seems to be falling out of love with her biomechanics coach - Alexandra Eala keeps selling tickets - The WTA are forming a 13-player council to fix the schedule - Emma Raducanu has signed for Uniqlo (See James's story here: https://inews.co.uk/sport/tennis/emma-raducanu-nike-uniqlo-4255160) And SO much more!
