Let's be honest—sometimes, marriage can feel like a battleground. We know communication is key, yet, we avoid talking about what's really going on. Lance and Brandy Salazar have lived through this and come out stronger. Their story and practical wisdom offer real hope for couples struggling to overcoming the stigma of silence in marriage. In this episode, Whit has a candid conversation with Lance and Brandy Salazar on how they brought their marriage back from the brink of divorce and how God is using their story to help couples today. Why do the same (lame) topics of "controversy" keep coming up in the TTRPG space? Because... it's the "Controversy Carousel!" The only way un-creatives can put themselves and their terrible ideology over! After a few go-rounds, the guys talk about a serious accusation and blowup in the OSR over potential reverse racism from a game group finding app. Lastly, the gang goes through the news and talks about sidestepping from a TTRPG to some other sort of nerdy goodness. ----more---- ----more---- The News: Monte Cook's Invisible Sun A New Take on Monopoly?!? Convert to Raid Presents: The podcast for World of Warcraft and other Blizzard Games!
This week the guys have plenty to talk about as everyone from Blizzard seems to have finally come back from the winter break! More raiding stats are unleashed on the internet as MMO-Champion takes a look at heroic progression. Only 0.23% of active raiders have downed heroic Garrosh, but what does that mean in the scheme of things? Blizzard’s Lead Encounter Designer Ion Hazzikostas joined Twitter this week and had plenty to say about some of the upcoming plans (or lack thereof) for the future of raiding. But is short form social media a good thing for players looking to glean some insight, or is it all too much noise for the average consumer? Hazzikostas did state via Twitter that there were no plans for a raid-wide nerf in Siege of Orgrimmar. The players discuss whether (and when) they think it’s going to come, and how big of an influence Flex Raids are in the equation. Also, with the flexible raiding system and the proposed Group Finder tool for Warlords, where does LFR fit in the next expansion? The guys tell you their reasons why Blizzard needs to nerf this feature even further in the future. And… Convert to Raid is covering PvP news? Sure! Afterall, the announcement of a new PvP season could point to when the next expansion may drop. The crew updates their calendars and make new predictions based off the latest information. And Pat, Koltrane and Dairies wrap up last week’s segment on how to be a better raid leader for 2014 with some more advice on communication and taking a look at different loot systems around the World of Warcraft.
Broadcasting from beautiful Northern California, this is Ghomus. Joining me from only a quarter of the state away is Alludra. We've got a great show today, with special guests Abovan and Machia, but first, the news... AIE NEWS Our guild remembrance for Vandiclaw will be taking place this saturday October 13th at 2pm server. Our intrepid reporter Alludra, found a handy guide that Nessa put together! Nessa, sadly isn't a guildie (At least that we know of!), but she is someone who can help us out! Thank you Nessa, wherever you are! We know there are a ton of games out there lately to play, but TF2 is still a guild favorite. Been enjoying the Mann vs Machine recent DLC? With the forthwith upcoming hither release of Black ops 2 AIE steam wonders if there are there enough players that would be interested in a private AIE server? Share your thoughts on the AIE steam forums Steam group forums? What's that? Steam in their latest software release made huge changes to the Community section. A Facebook like feed to keep up with your friends and a completely revamped group page. If you haven't seen it, shame on you and your next of kin. GAME NEWS Welcome, Machia to the SWTOR Officers! Our condolences... Talk to Machia for a bit. What does he like about SWTOR. -it's Scifi -Legacy exp perks -all the different ablities like force leap, saber throw, force choke etc etc Lords of Light Operation Team(s) (that's raiding for the non-SWTOR community) Lords of light is my ops group that runs on the Republic and Imperial side. We run on Sunday and Wednesday nights the Republic side we are doing Explosive Conflict 8 man hard mode. Once we have taken down Explosive conflict Hard Mode. We will progress into Terror from Beyond Hard Mode. Imp side Lord of Lights is doing 8 man Story Mode Terror from Beyond. Once we have taken that down we will progress straight into Hard Mode Explosive Conflict We were at one time running just on the Republic side, but I want a way to make it where the op team did not get bored doing content over and over. plus it lets us help out on the Imp side if a ops team needs bodies. We also use TurnTable in all of our runs which helps to mix up the ops feel. Talk about AIE in SWTOR 2 Factions, both great. Both provide AIE experiences in different ways. Empire - Larger group. Republic - Smaller, more intimate group Both are AIE-awesome! Patch 1.4 Terror from Beyond Terror from Beyond is the new operation dropped in patch 1.4. This storyline also ties into the Explosive conflict story line. Terror from Beyond is set on the remote planet so Asation, where the sith lords know as the Dreadmasters have opened a Gree Hypergate. The Hypergate opens the door to an unknown place with unknown horrors. Your team is tasked with shutting down the Hypergate and kill anything that has come through. This op has 8man and 16 man Story Mode and Hard mode. I love this Op so far. New Operation (raid) Group Finder enhancements (drops from where you came,
