Kelley Fox and Rev. Terry Williams take time to honor the life and story of Dr. George Tiller, an abortion provider who was murdered while serving as an usher at his church on May 31, 2009. Centering the episode on the life of Dr. Tiller, Kelley and Terry connect the dots between violent religious extremism and anti-abortion acts of terror, drawing the link between forces at play in the murder of Dr. Tiller and modern violence against reproductive health providers as recent as this year. Ever found yourself tangled in a web of unspoken emotions and complex relationships? That's exactly what we explore as we unravel the chaotic yet fascinating dynamics in "Daisy Haites," the second book within the Magnolia Parks universe. Join us and our friends Jordan & Allysha as we rate the book, ranging from three to five stars, and share our thoughts on how the art-dealing and gang-related themes bring a fresh vibe compared to the original Magnolia Parks narrative. Julian stands out as a memorable character, thanks to his portrayal as London's most dangerous man, and the Audible narration only amplifies his presence. Some of us hit a snag with the book's footnotes, which disrupted our reading flow, especially for those digging into the physical copy.Diving into the world of Daisy and Christian, we get caught up in a cycle of unspoken feelings and emotional immaturity, echoing the dynamics between Magnolia and BJ. We highlight the lack of direct communication and how it spurs toxic cycles, drawing parallels between their intricate relationships and the real world. Julian, though Daisy's brother, emerges as her platonic soulmate, while Daisy's connections with characters like Romeo and Detective Tiller add layers to her story, creating a complex tapestry of love triangles and trauma bonds. These tangled relationships lead to debates about authenticity and depth, making us question who ends up as Daisy's true match. Our fan-casting segment adds a fun twist, as we imagine Hollywood stars bringing these characters to life. From Madison Beer and Priyanka Chopra for Daisy to Chris Evans as Tiller, we let our imaginations run wild. As we consider the actors' past roles and their fit for these personalities, the conversation sparks excitement and agreement among us. With all these elements combined, this episode promises a lively exploration of the Magnolia Parks universe, offering insights and entertainment for both fans of the books and newcomers alike. Dr. Tiller has established himself as a well-known resource with respect to addressing health and exercise-related myths head on. In that vein, Dr. Tiller is the author of the book, ‘The Skeptic's Guide to Sports Science.' 1.       Tell us about yourself?2.       Endurance sports seem to be trending toward longer distances. Is this a good thing from a health perspective?3.       Let's talk about it with respect to a bell curve, would you say that with respect to exercise volume, the health benefits of exercise more or less follow the normal distribution?4.       Training is typically viewed through the lens of increasing performance, however it's rarely also viewed through the lens of health. Are these two things sometimes at odds with each other and why do you think that the health aspect is often not considered with respect to training?5.       Could you discuss some of the things that might be considered toxic with respect to too much cardiovascular exercise?6.       It's been my experience that with a lot of endurance athletes, especially those that participate in ultra-distance events, they overprioritize volume over intensity. Have you also found this to be true?7.       Is what could be considered a toxic level of cardiovascular subjective and different for each person?8.       With respect to ultra-athletes, are there are guidelines that you recommend with respect to staying out of the ‘toxic' zone? When discussing ‘toxic' levels of exercise, is it specific to a particular type (ie, cardiovascular, strength, etc…), or is it a culmination of all areas of training with respect to overall training load?
