Today's episode is a new interview with Michael Judd, recorded by Mary Marshall and Andrew Tuttle, of Edge Perma. During this conversation, Michael shares a quick sketch of his background for listeners who aren't familiar with him and his work, including time at the Bullock's Permaculture Homestead Brother's Farm on Orcas Island in Washington State. Michael then leads us through how he came to his permaculture career and how suggestions on how he makes it work for him and his family, from his early days as an edible landscaper and designer to his current role as a nurseryman, educator, and an event planner focusing on regenerative systems and education. Throughout, he shares stories and personal anecdotes as only he can. Ten years ago, in 2014, I traveled from my home in Pennsylvania and journeyed down to Michael's family home and homestead to record my first in-person interview, ever, with him, meeting his wife, and his son Wyatt, who was still a babe in arms at the time. Since then, we've recorded multiple interviews together, he was a keynote speaker at the Mid-Atlantic Permaculture Convergence, and I've attended his Paw Paw festival. Throughout this decade knowing Michael, personally and professionally, what I've always loved is his ability to take what he knows, examine where his life is at the moment, decides where he wants to go, and pivots in that direction. However he changes his life he does that with intent, while remaining rooted in his mindset as a permaculture practitioner and the lessons he learned during his time in Nicaragua with Project Bona Fide. If you're working on the next steps of your journey, I highly recommend listening to Michael's earlier conversations with me and hear more about his journey. You'll find numerous useful insights that connect to the ones he shared today, that you can apply to your journey, wherever you want to go. Skier Zack Giffin (host of the TV series, Tiny House Nation & co-host of the podcast, Tiny House Tales) makes a compelling case for how smaller living spaces can be a significant part of the solution to affordable housing; homelessness; climate issues, energy consumption, and creating more socio-economically diverse communities — which is a fancy way of saying, real, actual communities. This is another important addition to our conversations on mountain town economics & affordable housing solutions. Rooster Talk 58 is with Don Smith, Managing Director, Tempest Minerals Limited (ASX:TEM)   Its been a while since the excitement of the discovery of a large sulphide system at Meleya. I have been very keen to get to see the rocks and have a discussion with Don. In my opinion, the rocks will be the key to the continuation of the story.   Prior to the drilling, the general discussion was primarily on the the potential of the geology being similar to Golden Grove VMS deposit. When Tempest announced the drilling results on the 28th March 2022, there was general excitement in the market.   The realisation from the concept was now closer to fact, however, there is still a wait on the actual numbers of the assays. Irrespective of the numbers, I think there is no denying that there is some sort of a discovery at Meleya.   In this episode of Rooster Talk, I asked Don about the geology. The geology from the drilling is the key factor. I asked Don, if this was a Discovery or a Proof of Concept. We also talked about the numerous alteration within the length of the hole which points to a large cooking system that could be endowed with metals.   The main takeaway for this episode is to have an understanding of the geology of the area. The assay numbers will be interesting. However, I suspect that will not be the conclusive answer for or against the project.   There will be more drilling and more discussion. In my opinion, this is proof that the geology is similar and it is mineralised. This has been a great conversation and I like their method of understanding the geology first before rushing out to drill holes.   Chapters   00:00 Start 00:20 Introduction 02:10 Discovery or Proof of Concept 03:16 Lets talk geology of both drill holes. 06:03 Where is the geological thinking now? 07:15 How can Investors understand your geology? 08:50 What is Tempest thinking now? 10:27 Is there any issues with the progress of Tempest? 11:23 Other Projects 14:25 News Flow 15:21 Why Tempest? 16:20 Conclusion

Episode 131- screenwriter Rich Wilkes! Rich is a very accomplished screenwriter with over 30 years in the business. He contributed to two of my favorite movies - “The Dirt” & “Billy Madison” (uncredited). It was great chatting about the process of getting some of these projects made. It was also fun to hear about some of his projects that he worked on that did not get made- although I’m hoping some of them- like the Sam Kinison movie do get made. 0:00:00 - Intro0:01:01 - Background in Switzerland0:02:20 - Early Movie & TV Influences0:04:35 - Theater & Movies in High School0:05:35 - Getting Started in the Movie Business 0:07:35 - Extra Movie & TV Work 0:09:34 - First Screenplay - "Glory Daze"0:10:27 - The "Stoned Age" & Fans 0:12:28 - "Airheads" with Chris Farley & Adam Sandler0:17:45 - "The Jerky Boys" 0:20:00 - "Glory Daze" 0:21:45 - "Billy Madison" 0:24:45 - "xXx" 0:28:59 - Projects That Don't Get Made0:32:30 - "Punk Like Me" & Touring in a Band 0:36:10 - "The Ballad of The Whiskey Robber" 0:39:59 - David Fincher & 80s MTV Series 0:46:00 - "The Dirt", Script Changes & Band Issues 0:51:45 - Research with Motley Crue & Lawsuit0:54:30 - Making Motley Crue Likable 0:58:58 - Pam & Tommy Lee Sex Tape 1:00:13 - Sam Kinison & Other Projects 1:02:45 - George Clooney & The Green Hornet 1:04:53 - Fanboying Out & Being Around Celebrities 1:09:40 - Cancer Charity & Golden Rule1:11:40 - Jager Shots with Tommy Lee 1:13:16 - Wrap Up Rich Wilkes Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/rich_k_wilkes/American Cancer Society Website:https://www.cancer.org/involved/donate.htmlChuck Shute Website:http://chuckshute.comSupport the show (https://venmo.com/Chuck-Shute)
