Beatty Carmichael is the author of the book, The Prayer of Freedom. He used to attend a cessationist church that did not believe in the gifts of healing, but when he saw God healing people his theology changed. In his book he describes a four step process that leads to supernatural healing. On today's episode of The Evangelism Podcast, we discuss the link between healing and salvation and how evangelists can use healing to bring people to Jesus.

From celebrity chaos to societal decay, it's clear—without God, the world spirals into total confusion and sin. We're breaking down the bigger picture and talking about why it's time to turn away from worldliness/wickedness and the dysfunction of degeneracy and back to the truth and love of Christ. In I John 2:6 we read these words written about what it means to be a follower of Jesus: "Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did." In his new book, "Radical Like Jesus", Greg Stier helps us to understand what it means to be in Christ and to live like Jesus. I'm excited about this book and how we can use it in our homes, our churches, our youth groups, and our own lives. And, I'm especially excited to be chatting with my passionate and engaging friend, Greg Stier, about his new book, on this episode of Youth Culture Matters.

Send us a textIs the church losing its voice in today's world, or can prayer reignite its power? We embark on a thought-provoking discussion about how fervent prayer and strong, fearless leadership can revitalize the church across all denominations. Reflecting on the current state of the UK church, we express a deep yearning for impactful messages that truly resonate with believers. Our conversation addresses the growing commercialization of religious celebrations and stresses the need to keep Jesus' teachings accessible to everyone, despite societal and political pressures that challenge Christian values. We explore the notion of living in times reminiscent of the days of Moses, marked by both preparation and persecution. In this critical era, strong leadership is essential to guide us through metaphorical rivers of challenge. We urge listeners to cultivate genuine faith, focusing on spiritual readiness rather than succumbing to worldly distractions. The transformative power of the gospel, particularly the message of being 'born again' as highlighted in John 3:3, is a central theme as we call for a return to the authority of scripture and the spirit of God.True revival is more than a spectacle; it's a personal awakening and a deeper connection with God. We challenge cultural perceptions of manhood and leadership, proposing that true strength lies in following Jesus' example of humility and gentleness. Our discussion also touches on mental health, proposing that a strong relationship with Jesus can aid in healing and transformation, complementing medical treatments. Through prayer, we invite divine change and healing in our lives, encouraging listeners to embrace a radical faith and the miraculous power of God.Best Christian podcasts for spiritual growth, Bible study podcasts for beginners, Christian marriage advice podcast, Inspirational Christian podcasts for women, Daily devotional podcasts for busy Christians, Christian leadership podcasts for pastors, Christian mental health podcasts for anxiety, Faith-based podcasts for motivation, Bible teaching podcasts for in-depth study, Christian parenting podcasts for moms, Christian apologetics podcasts for teens, Christian podcasts for personal development, Top Christian podcasts for youth, Christian podcasts on faith and culture, Bible podcasts with verse-by-verse teaching, Best Christian podcasts on mental wellness, Christian podcast interviews with leaders, Christian inspirational podcasts for men, Worship and Christian music podcasts, Christian podcasts for family devotionals.Support the showhttps://www.pastorbencooper.co.uk/
Taking a step of faith is often synonymous with taking a risk. Baptism is a profound act of faith, symbolizing a believer's commitment to follow Christ and become His disciple. It is not a prerequisite for salvation but a public declaration of the transformation that has already occurred within. Baptism requires humility, a willingness to die to the old self, and a commitment to live in the newness of life that Christ offers. It is a dramatization of the burial of the past and the resurrection into righteousness, where God sees not our imperfections but the righteousness of Christ in us. The act of baptism is a radical step of faith, a decision that signifies a believer's adherence to the teachings of Jesus. It is a commitment to live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God, regardless of societal or political pressures. In a world where the lines between good and evil are increasingly blurred, baptism is a declaration of allegiance to Christ and His kingdom. It is a reminder that we are not remodeled versions of our old selves but new creations in Christ, something that has never existed before. Faith is inherently risky, requiring us to step out of our comfort zones and trust God with the unknown. Biblical figures like Abraham, David, and Peter exemplified this radical faith, taking significant risks that led to profound transformations. Their stories remind us that where there is no risk, there is no faith, and without faith, there is no power, joy, or intimacy with God. Risk takers are those who hear God's voice and obey, trusting that He knows best. In our journey of faith, God often brings us to the edge of a decision, challenging us to take a radical step of faith. This decision is not just about following Christ but fulfilling the purpose He has for our lives. It involves a willingness to risk everything for the sake of gaining everything in Christ. As believers, we are called to be risk takers, stepping out in faith and trusting God to do the impossible. This radical faith is what transforms us from good to great, enabling us to experience the fullness of God's promises. **Key Takeaways:** - Baptism is a public declaration of faith, symbolizing the burial of the old self and the resurrection into a new life in Christ. Today's message dives deep into what it means to live with radical faith. We explore Peter's unforgettable moment walking on water—an act of trust that teaches us how to walk in faith, even when it defies logic. Radical faith is not just about belief when things are easy; it's about stepping out of the boat when the storm is raging. We'll break down the three key elements of radical faith: taking risks, surrounding ourselves with faith-givers, and making determined decisions to trust God again and again. Learn how to trust God completely, take bold steps, and experience extraordinary results that come from obeying His word—no matter how impossible the situation may seem. Ready to grow in your faith? Let's take the next step together.
The sermon by Pastor Angel Maldonado emphasized the life of faith exemplified by Apostle Paul, highlighting his transformation from persecutor to missionary. Paul's unwavering faith, resilience, and radical commitment to the gospel were underscored, along with his willingness to endure suffering and persecution. Key points included Paul's surrender to God's plan, his trust in God's grace, and his radical faith in the resurrection. The sermon also stressed the importance of radical faith in persevering through hardships, embracing weakness, and trusting in God's promises, even when circumstances seem dire.Topic: Faith over fear | Manage fears, anxiety, worry, and doubt Main scripture: Acts 14:19-20; Philippians 3:7-8; 2 Corinthians 12:9-10; Acts 9:4-6; Romans 15:20; Philippians 1:29Support the show ------------------------------------------WANT MORE?Say You Love Me 1: Building Healthy RelationshipsToxic 1: What are Toxic Thoughts? This sermon encourages believers to embrace faith during life's toughest challenges, where we often find ourselves "between a rock and a hard place." It highlights that faith is built in these moments when we must choose between familiarity and the unknown, trusting God to guide us even when the path seems difficult. Through the story of the Israelites' escape from Egypt, Pastor Armando teaches that God sometimes takes us on a longer, unexpected route to protect us from unseen dangers, and that perseverance through trials is essential for spiritual growth. Saturday of the Eleventh Week in Ordinary Time
In this week's episode I talk about what it means to believe and have a radical type of faith. Many of us are believing for something to happen or perhaps we have a prayer that hasn't been answered yet. We may be tempted to stop believing or even stop praying, but our prayers do matter. I share a real story of a friend who didn't stop praying for her husband even when she didn't see anything happening. She stood on her faith and on the word of God and believed with a radical faith. God is always at work, and we must trust in him and thank him in advance for what he is going to do. It's time for a radical type of faith! Radical Faith Part 5 by Faith Living Church
Hey everyone, Oteil here from the Comes A Time podcast, broadcasting from Petaluma, California. This episode is a special one as I'm recording something secret and cool that I can't wait to share with you. Our guest this week is my old friend Elizabeth Lott, who I know from our days at church in Birmingham, Alabama. Elizabeth recently made a significant life change, leaving her position as possibly the first female Baptist pastor in New Orleans. We delve into her journey, her continued faith, and the big questions that led her to this new chapter. Elizabeth and I discuss her remarkable path from being a trailblazer in the church to stepping away due to feeling confined by the institution. Despite her strong belief, she felt the church wasn't aligning with the radical, revolutionary love she felt called to pursue. Our conversation touches on the challenges of breaking away from established norms, her move to Macon, Georgia, and the excitement of new beginnings. Elizabeth's story is one of courage and faith, and I was thrilled to have this deep and heartfelt conversation with her.
