This teaching presents prayer as a core Christian value and a vital, relational practice through which believers communicate with and grow in intimacy with God—not merely exchanging information, but forming a deep, ongoing relationship with a loving Father. Prayer is rooted in approaching God as “Our Father,” recognizing His holiness, aligning ourselves with His will, trusting Him for daily provision, seeking forgiveness while extending forgiveness to others, and asking for protection and deliverance, as modeled by Jesus in the Lord's Prayer. Rather than being formulaic or performative, prayer is meant to be sincere, disciplined, and motive-driven, practiced both privately and spontaneously, as seen in the lives of Jesus, Daniel, and the early church. Through prayer, believers invite God's presence, receive wisdom, peace, comfort, and provision, and are reminded that God already knows their needs and desires a close, loving relationship with His children. If you are in need of prayer, we would love to pray with you. We have prayer partners available every Sunday morning at our 8:30am and 10:30am services. You can also email all prayer requests to prayer@millcitywi.com. Also, please join us for the most important service of the week...Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting every Wednesday at 7:00pm!

In this episode of Uncommon Sense, I'm calling out a problem no one wants to confront: the normalization of partying, drinking, and casual sex especially among so-called “conservative influencers.”You cannot claim to defend Western Civilization while publicly celebrating the very behaviors that destroyed past civilizations. Conservatism without morality is just aesthetic rebellion. We don't need more clout, cocktails, or compromised values. We need a return to godliness, self-discipline, and moral responsibility because the future generations watching us will inherit whatever standard we tolerate today. If we want to save the West, we have to get serious about being truly Christian again.--https://www.bible.com/
This sermon presents water baptism as a foundational Basic Christian Value, emphasizing that it is not a ritual that saves, but an essential act of obedience, identification, and discipleship for every believer. Rooted in the Great Commission, baptism is shown to be a biblical ordinance commanded by Jesus, practiced immediately after conversion in the early church, and symbolizing a believer's union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. The message addresses common reasons people avoid baptism—lack of understanding, pride, indifference, defiance, or lack of genuine faith—and clarifies that while baptism does not produce salvation, it marks the beginning of a transformed, obedient life under Christ's lordship. Drawing from Scripture, Jewish tradition, and personal testimony, the sermon calls believers to take this step seriously, noting that obedience invites God's pleasure and blessing. Ultimately, water baptism is presented as a public declaration of faith, a visible gospel witness, and a crucial step in growing up spiritually and fully surrendering to Christ.

This message continues our Basic Christian Values series by emphasizing the vital importance of returning to foundational truths, especially the Word of God, as believers reset spiritually at the start of a new season. Rooted in 1 and 2 Timothy, it teaches that Scripture is trustworthy, God-breathed, powerful for salvation, and essential for shaping every part of the Christian life. The sermon argues that faith is not blind but grounded in reliable, eyewitness testimony preserved through Scripture, which reveals God, exposes sin, points to Christ, and forms believers through teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. It underscores that both Old and New Testaments are necessary for a full understanding of the gospel, that God uses His Word to save and transform lives, and that disciplined engagement with Scripture equips believers for every good work God has prepared. Ultimately, the message calls the church to recommit to living saturated by God's Word—personally, communally, and missionally—so they may grow in Christ, share the gospel faithfully, and be used by God for His purposes in a broken and needy world.
This sermon, part of the Basic Christian Values series, focuses on The Promises of God, using Israel's crossing of the Jordan in Joshua as a picture of where the church and believers stand today—on the edge of what God has promised, stepping into a new season by faith. It emphasizes that God is the one who makes promises and is always faithful to fulfill them, though His timing often differs from ours, requiring trust and perseverance. God accomplishes His promises through people—sometimes unlikely ones—such as Moses, Joshua, Rahab, and the unified body of believers, showing that surrender, faith in action, and unity bring Him glory. The message reminds listeners that receiving a promise is only the beginning; obedience, spiritual battles, and hard work follow, but God's presence remains constant. Finally, it calls believers to remember what God has already done, building faith through remembrance, so they can move forward with courage, confidence, and expectation into the future God has prepared.
This message continues the Basic Christian Values series by focusing on The Promises of God, using Israel's crossing of the Jordan in Joshua as a picture of the church entering a new season. It teaches that God is the one who makes promises and is always faithful to fulfill them, though His timing often requires patience, trust, and preparation. God works through people—sometimes unexpected ones like Moses and Rahab—and through a unified body of believers to accomplish His purposes, calling His people to be strong, courageous, obedient, and united. The sermon emphasizes that stepping into God's promises is only the beginning, as faith requires action, perseverance, and spiritual battle, but God's presence always goes before His people. Finally, it calls believers to remember what God has already done, because remembering His faithfulness builds faith and courage to move forward confidently into the future He has promised.
This sermon launches the new year by emphasizing “First Things First”—the importance of order and priority in the Christian life—teaching that God's blessing flows not just from what we give Him, but from placing Him first in every area. Drawing from Scripture, it outlines four foundational Christian values: seeking God first each day through prayer and Scripture, worshiping God together as a devoted church family each week, honoring God with the first of our finances through the tithe, and beginning the year with fasting to strengthen spiritual dependence and alignment with the Holy Spirit. The message stresses that God is already first by nature, and our role is to realign our lives to His divine order, which leads to spiritual power, clarity, peace, provision, and a life led by the Spirit.

Christian Values Vs. Civilization | Yaron Brook Show
There is a myth that the United States was founded as a Christian nation. Now, while it's true that many “Christian Values” and concepts were baked into many of our founding documents and culture, it was never fully accepted in the hearts and minds of most early Americans. Bob shares how we found and lost our soul as a nation. Now, do you believe in this ministry? If you do, you can keep us on the air as a radio program and podcast by visiting our website. It is vastly more urgent than ever that you do. https://truth2ponder.com/support-us. You can also mail a check payable to Ancient Word Radio, P.O. Box 510, Chilhowie, VA 24319. Modern Conservatism is collapsing, and it isn't because of the Left. It's because the Right has abandoned biblical order, biblical loyalty, and biblical leadership. In this episode of Uncommon Sense, I'm examining how our so-called conservative leaders have traded Christianity for political convenience, elevating foreign loyalties, unbiblical theology, and female authority over God's clearly established design. When prominent figures openly choose Judaism over Christianity and Israel over America, we must ask: What exactly are we conserving anymore?Scripture is clear: Christianity is a patriarchy with God as its Head, Christ as King, and men called to lead in righteousness. A movement that rejects this order will inevitably rot from the inside out. This episode is a call to return to:Christ over cultureFaith over foreign allegianceGod's elect over globalist prioritiesBiblical men over platformed female personalitiesIf Conservatism wants to survive, it must first repent.--https://www.bible.com/

In this episode of Uncommon Sense, I'm discussing my changing views on Israel, Donald Trump, and Candace Owens and why principles grounded in Scripture must always matter more than personalities.I'll discuss how easy it is to get swept up in political figures, influencers, and movements… all while forgetting that God alone is who we should be following. The devil is just like a stalker prowling around, watching, scheming, seeking someone to devour. And in these chaotic times, he's using deception, manipulation, and emotional brainwashing to pull people into confusion and ultimately into Hell.In this episode, we're talking about how the synagogue of Satan is operating openly today, pushing narratives meant to distract and divide. I am urging my listeners to stay anchored in the Word, remain spiritually alert, and refuse to be seduced by personalities, platforms, or “conservative celebrities” who very well may not be aligned with God's truth.Ultimately, we all need to return to the Bible (now more than ever) and to guard our minds and souls as the days grow darker and darker.--https://www.bible.com/
Women of Faith in Leadership - Kingdom Leadership, Workplace Organisational culture, Christian women
Leading with strong Christian values in a secular workplace can feel like walking a tightrope — wanting to honour God without overstepping boundaries, staying true to your faith without feeling “too much” or “not enough.” This episode is for every Christian woman who has ever wondered: “Can I lead boldly for Christ… even here?” The answer is yes — and today you'll learn how. In this conversation, we explore: how to stay grounded in your convictions without becoming defensive, preachy, or apologetic the subtle ways Christian leaders accidentally dim their light at work practical, Christlike behaviours that speak louder than words how to set boundaries, hold standards, and navigate workplace culture with wisdom and grace the difference between leading with your faith and leading about your faith If you've been feeling the tension of being a Christian woman in a non-Christian space, this episode will give you clarity, peace, and a renewed sense of purpose. Your Next Step If you often feel unsure, small, or hesitant about expressing your leadership in secular spaces, The Imposter Syndrome Blueprint will strengthen your confidence and help you lead with calm, steady, Christ-anchored conviction.
Join Kenneth Hill and Larry Stamm as they discuss Christian values and how to stand firm in your faith, which has never been more vital—or more challenging. In America today, you are free to be a believer as long as you don't actually live out your faith, take a stand in relation to it, or tell others about it. While a growing number in our nation call Christians to live in silence, God calls us to live out loud. As Jesus declared, “Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops.”
Love to hear from you; “Send us a Text Message”Feeling pressured to pick between Socialism and Capitalism? We challenge that trap and make a case for a third way that takes human dignity seriously, starts in the heart, and rebuilds culture from the ground up. We walk through why many young people gravitate toward socialism when family and schools fail them, and why unconstrained capitalism—when severed from God and moral law—leaves the soul hungry and communities brittle. Then we chart a different path rooted in a Christian vision of freedom ordered to the good, where love of God flows into love of neighbor, and where formation shapes the kind of people who can actually sustain a free society. You'll hear hard critiques—of socialism and hypercapitalism's nihilism—paired with hopeful, concrete steps: prayer that grounds the day, the sacraments that renew the heart, small groups that build accountability, and local action that serves the poor, protects life, and strengthens communities. We also discuss the Claymore battle plan as a practical map for spiritual formation and cultural rebuilding. The goal isn't outrage; it's forming men and women who can love well, raise families, start businesses with integrity, and anchor parishes that become bright centers of mercy and truth. If you're tired of false choices and hungry for a life that unites faith, work, and citizenship, this is your invitation to begin. When John Fugelsang was growing up, his parents and his church taught him that Christianity was about kindness, forgiveness, and helping your neighbor. But he says somewhere along the way between the televangelists, the politicians, and the endless culture wars, Christianity got hijacked. He says he's watching in disbelief as people use Jesus as a campaign slogan while promoting laws that seem more judgmental than Christian. A comedian, radio host, and actor who was in the film Coyote Ugly, Fugelsang challenges Christian nationalism and the politicians and influencers who he says promote the wrong answer to the question; What Would Jesus Do? His new book, Separation of Church and Hate: A Sane Person's Guide to Taking Back the Bible from Fundamentalists, Fascists, and Flock-Fleecing Frauds.
Today we're trashing feminism some more, because it obviously deserves it. Feminism is not only unbiblical, it's extremely destructive for all of society. We'll talk about why Christian podcasters like Allie Beth Stuckey shouldn't defend their feminism while claiming to follow Christ, and why Christianity itself is a patriarchy, by God's design. It's time for biblical men to stop waiting for permission from feminists and take back the authority God gave them. We'll also discuss more of the Trump administration's mistakes, including this ridiculous new 50-year mortgage idea that proves how far from wisdom our leaders have fallen.
There's more going on in that infamous Republicans groupchat than most realize but the real issue isn't the gossip, it's how easily people trade conviction for comfort. In this episode, we talk about the growing weakness on the Right, the danger of valuing offense over free speech, and why all of our rights must be protected at all costs. We'll also cover more updates on the Charlie Kirk case and how Trump's failures in his second term (including his refusal to release the Epstein list and his submission to Israel) prove that no man should ever be placed where only God belongs.--https://policecoffee.com/collections/coffee

Faith is a big part of our relationship to money. And this is something that I've had come up with my students over the years, not surprisingly, as they're working through their beliefs around money. So many of the messages we receive about money come from this space -- either from what we witnessed growing up in a faith community or from experiences within our current community. And sometimes these beliefs are ones that folks don't want to hold anymore, but they've already shaped how they think about money and the world. In today's episode, faith-based private practice consultant Whitney Owens and I get into how she reconciles her Christian faith with charging premium fees and building wealth in her group practice. She shares what it means to be a financially successful Christian, and how being such elicits feelings of guilt. We also discuss messages about frugality, specifically in Christianity. The Intersection of Faith and Financial Success (00:04:17) Enhancing Impact through Team and Services (00:10:26) Balancing Faith and Financial Success (00:14:16) The Relationship Between Premium Fees and Client Commitment (00:17:32) Stewardship and Relationships: Impact of Financial Earnings (00:22:12) Money Management Aligned with Christian Values (00:28:15) Navigating Emotional Struggles of Financial Success (00:31:38) Transformative Profit-First Money Management Strategies How Stewardship with Money Impacts Your Relationships and Community Faith and money are intertwined in our daily lives, whether we realize it or not. By intentionally aligning our financial decisions with our spiritual values, we become more financially confident and experience feelings of security and fulfillment. As a result, we're more likely to make decisions that benefit others. When we charge higher rates, for example, we are taking care of ourselves and valuing our worth, which allows us to better serve our clients and ultimately provide them with the best care possible. It's a cycle of self-care leading to better client care, creating a positive impact on both sides of the relationship."When we don't charge our full fees, we don't feel good about ourselves. We are overwhelmed because we have to see more clients. So it's the idea that we're actually serving our clients by serving ourselves. It's like circular, right? Cyclical." - Whitney OwensIn addition to implementing profit-first strategies in business, creating a supportive team and culture is crucial to achieving financial success, because it sets the tone for how financial decisions are made. When team members feel supported and valued in their workplace, they are more likely to make decisions that align with their values, including their spiritual beliefs.Consider these actions to align your money management habits with your faith and personal values: Invest in marketing services, business consulting, and essential tasks that align with your goals and values to expand your reach and fulfill your missionCreate a supportive team and culture that compensates your team members fairly and promotes enjoyment in your workplaceCharge premium fees for your therapy work to increase client commitment and to allow yourself to show up as your very best self for those you're serving Be a good steward of finances in support of your personal values, using money to care for and support yourself and others, and have a positive impact on issues that matter most to you Manage money based on your mission to do good in the world, balancing frugality and excessive consumptionImplement...

Then, we speak with journalist Haley Cohen Gilliland, author of A Flower Traveled in My Blood: The Incredible True Story of the Grandmothers Who Fought to Find a Stolen Generation of Children, about right-wing Argentine dictator Jorge Rafael Videla, whose government kidnapped, tortured and killed thousands of protesters and stole hundreds of their babies to be raised with "Western Christian values."

Today's episode of Uncommon Sense with Ginny Robinson is a carefully crafted full-on rant about two awful cultural failures, Donald Trump and Taylor Swift. Both, in their own ways, are failing the next generation and pushing the normalization of pedophilia. Trump refuses to release the Epstein list or hold powerful pedophiles accountable. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift flaunts her naked body on her album cover marketed to an audience that includes young girls who are already being tempted by a society pushing them toward OnlyFans. Feminism has clearly failed. We need to bring back the biblical patriarchy, AKA Christianity. At some point, we have to stop asking why is all of this happening and start living biblically individually, in our families, and as a society. For the sake of our own wellbeing and (far more importantly) the protection of our children. If we can't even agree to safeguard their innocence, what are we doing? Why aren't we protecting the children?--https://bakerbookhouse.com/featured/the-brand-sunday
In this enlightening episode of "Father and Joe," hosts Father Boniface Hicks and Joe Rockey delve into the profound journey of transforming from mere onlookers to active participants in the Mass. This transformation is likened to the difference between watching a NASCAR race and being one of the drivers, feeling every exhilarating moment. Father Boniface emphasizes that this journey is not an all-or-nothing proposition; it's about making a choice. He contrasts the utilitarian view of the Mass with its true essence—an ever-growing relationship, much like a marriage, which flourishes the deeper it becomes. The conversation addresses common objections, such as the misconception that every Mass is the same, and highlights how each experience is unique, just as no two days with a friend are ever identical. Father Boniface eloquently speaks about the Mass as a dynamic relationship, not a transactional experience. It's about the opportunity to sacrifice, love, and give everything for something greater, echoing the Christian value of martyrdom—offering oneself entirely out of love.Together, they explore the structure of the Mass, from the initial acknowledgment of sins to the transformative power of the Liturgy of the Word and the Eucharist. This episode uncovers how each stage of the Mass is designed to guide us from external observance to internal engagement. They discuss practical steps for entering deeper into the Mass, recognizing the signs and symbols that catch our attention, and ultimately meeting Christ through the Holy Communion. As Father Boniface mentions, staying in this relationship, even when not fully engaged, brings profound growth, both spiritually and personally.Father Boniface also touches on his book, "The Hidden Power of Silence in the Mass," inviting listeners to dive deeper into the beauty and purpose of the Mass. This episode serves as both a spiritual guide and a heartfelt conversation, encouraging everyone to reclaim their faith journey and build a stronger union with God, whether they've drifted away or seek to deepen their existing relationship.Tags: Mass, Spirituality, Church, God, Eucharist, Relationship with God, Faith Journey, Active Participation, Worship, Spiritual Growth, Community, Catholicism, Marriage Analogy, Transformation, Sacrifice, Liturgy, Eucharistic Prayer, Encountering Christ, Holy Communion, Personal Growth, Divine Presence, Christian Values, Faith Obstacles, Spiritual Direction, Handbook to Mass, Engaging Worship, Religious Practice, Catholic Faith, Spiritual Reflection, Deepening Faith, Mass Structure, Spiritual Conversations, Faith and Love, Building Relationships, Finding Purpose, Mass Experience, Christian Life, Spiritual Insights, Worship Guidance, Faith RenewalHashtags: #Mass #Spirituality #Church #God #Eucharist #FaithJourney #ActiveParticipation #Worship #SpiritualGrowth #Community #Catholicism #MarriageAnalogy #Transformation #Sacrifice #Liturgy #HolyCommunion #PersonalGrowth #ChristianValues #FaithObstacles #SpiritualDirection #MassHandbook #EngagingWorship #ReligiousPractice #CatholicFaith #SpiritualReflection #DeepeningFaith #MassStructure #SpiritualConversations #FaithAndLove #BuildingRelationships #FindingPurpose #MassExperience #ChristianLife #SpiritualInsights #WorshipGuidance #FaithRenewalThis line is here to correct the site's formatting error.
In this Grownlearn conversation, I sat down with John Knowlton, a former jail chaplain who went on to co-found and scale a wealth management firm to over $1 billion in assets—and then chose to walk away to pursue a deeper calling. John shares some of the pivotal moments that shaped his path—from working with inmates in DuPage County Jail to leading a billion-dollar financial advisory firm, and now mentoring Christian CEOs through the C12 Group. We talk about how our thinking shapes our outcomes, what success really means, and how service can be a growth strategy—both in business and in life. He also gives us a peek into his upcoming book, Thinking for Success, a collection of stories designed to spark better thinking and deeper purpose. If you're building something meaningful—or trying to figure out what that even looks like—this one will speak to you.
Love to hear from you; “Send us a Text Message”The battle between love and lust rages in every human heart. In this powerful exploration of the Maria Goretti story, we uncover how what we consume shapes who we become – sometimes with devastating consequences.Maria Goretti was just 11 years old when Alessandro Serenelli, a young man living and working with her family, attacked and murdered her after she refused his sexual advances. What drove this ordinary farm worker to such violence? The toxic media he consumed played a crucial role. Alessandro filled his mind with sensational novels about crime and lust, creating a dangerous inner landscape where "forbidden fruit no longer nourished him" and "self-abuse infuriated him."Our guest Michael Lichens, author and editor with a passion for overlooked aspects of Christian history, walks us through this harrowing yet ultimately redemptive story. As John Paul II observed, "The problem with pornography is not that it reveals too much, it reveals too little." It fails to reveal the person – the human heart that longs to be loved, not used. This insight resonates powerfully today as young people navigate a hypersexualized culture bombarding them with distorted messages about sexuality and human dignity. The story takes an extraordinary turn when Alessandro experiences a vision of Maria while in prison. Questions about whether it's problematic for a DJ on a secular radio station to play songs with lyrics that are contrary to his Christian values, and what approach a musician should take toward royalties he's still receiving from music that had less-than-Christian lyrics. As a DJ on a secular radio station that plays music from the '60s through the '90s, is it problematic for me to play music with lyrics that are contrary to my Christian values? What approach should I take toward the monetary royalties I still collect from music that had less-than-Christian imagery and lyrics?
