Some days feel like one long interruption: missed buses, forgotten lunchboxes, nonstop meetings, long lines, and traffic that won't move. In moments like these, frustration rises fast—and patience can disappear even faster. In today's episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef reminds us that we cannot generate long-suffering patience through sheer willpower. Only the Holy Spirit can pour that patience into our hearts until it becomes a defining trait—not a forced performance. Dr. Youssef also reframes how the fruit of the Spirit becomes visible. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control aren't proven when life is easy—they're revealed when the heat is on. Joy shows up in joyless situations. Peace shines when circumstances don't make sense. Patience appears when someone (or something) is actively trying your patience. As you abide in Christ and yield moment by moment to the Spirit's leadership, He produces real fruit—consistently. At the core of Christian patience is an unshakeable conviction: God is sovereign, and He is at work in the lives of His children. You are not forgotten or forsaken, no matter how chaotic your day becomes. This episode will encourage you to trust God's hand in the small pressures of daily life—and let the Spirit grow patience that reflects Jesus. Prayer: God, thank You that no matter what comes my way, You have not forgotten nor forsaken me. Help my life to exhibit Christian patience even in the most trying circumstances. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love” (Ephesians 4:2). Learn more in Dr. Michael A. Have you slipped into self-sufficiency—trying to navigate life with your own wisdom, grit, and ingenuity—only to feel discouraged, depleted, or stuck? In today's episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef reminds you that God never intended you to live on human strength. Paul learned this firsthand through his persistent “thorn,” pleading for relief—only to hear God's life-changing answer: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9). Instead of viewing weakness as failure, Paul came to see it as the very place where Christ's power rests most clearly—turning hardship into holy dependence and defeat into spiritual strength. Dr. Youssef also highlights Paul's prayer in Colossians 1:9–12, showing what God's power is meant to produce in everyday life: deeper understanding of God's will, a life that pleases the Lord, fruitfulness in good works, growing knowledge of God, and supernatural endurance marked by joyful gratitude. God doesn't only want you to acknowledge Him as Creator—He wants you to know His power personally, especially when you feel weakest. Prayer: Mighty God, thank You for Your power that is available to me personally. Forgive me for the times I have worked in my own strength instead of finding my rest in You. Help me to depend on Your power today so that I can serve You and those You have put in my life. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe” (Ephesians 1:18-19). God is glorified when we turn away from ourselves to him in the confidence that he will provide the help we need.
Psa 51:17 O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise. For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Sometimes our failures haunt us and we think we cannot be saved. But God’s grace for us in Jesus is greater than any of our failures, all of your sins.

God is glorified when we turn away from ourselves to him in the confidence that he will provide the help we need.
Pastor David Walt brings our message today to start the new year of 2022. Often, at the beginning of a new year, we think of how we can improve ourselves or do certain things better than in the past, with the focus being on us. With relevant scripture text, Pastor David reminds us that the most important thing is for us to "abide" in Christ Jesus, keeping our eyes on him as we continue to live our lives and run our race with perseverance. How to have a fruitful, fulfilled, joyful life Branches that bear fruit
Pastor Marty Machowski (http://martymachowski.com/) discusses John 15:5. He summarizes this verse by saying, "We can't accomplish anything for God's kingdom apart from Jesus. We can't do it alone. When I ran into difficult times as a parent, the message God gave to me was 'I don't want you parenting standing up; I want you parenting kneeling down.'" "In the Word, On the Go" is sponsored by the Christian Standard Bible (https://csbible.com/). Special Guest: Marty Machowski.

One of the great myths, is that each of us is exclusively an isolated individual. We see ourselves almost exclusively, the result is, we tend to have an identity based upon things like: “Am I young? Am I old? Am I black? Am I white? Am I rich? Am I poor? Am I Republican? Am I Democrat? Am I smart or not so smart? Am I beautiful or am I average? Am I a winner? Am I a loser? Am I healthy? Am I sick? Am I single? Am I married? Am I divorced? Am I widowed?”
