She uses her story and influence to educate and empower others. Kymani Quick, also known as Nicole, is a recent graduate of the illustrious North Carolina A & T State University and is currently employed in Global Sales at Cisco Technologies. Kymani is also a business owner, and influencer with over 83,000 followers, and advocates for issues that young women face. While in college, was diagnosed with a life-changing illness, epilepsy. Through this she turned her pain into power and started a movement by publishing a poem, "My Illness Is Invisible, So What Does That Make Me?" On February 24th, 2021, friends and family members gathered for a memorial walk in honor of Kymani Littlebird on what would have been his 20th birthday. Kymani was found dead out by a small pond on the Northern Cheyenne on June 25th, 2020. A subsequent investigation by the BIA found no signs of foul play in his death and the coroner ruled his death a suicide. But his family vehemently disputes that conclusion and continue to cry out for justice.

Meet Kymani Kahlil. A talented instrumentalist, designer, composer, choreographer, and singer: when Kymani walks into a room, people notice. Born in in Minneapolis, Kymani was a singer in One Voice in the early 90s, and currently lives in Crystal, MN. In this episode, Kymani discusses childhood sports, romance at raves, how cadence helps her navigate the world, and how she found her voice in music. Kymani weaves a darn good story and has an infectious laugh that will keep you smiling all day.
